i think his hardware system is not high enough 4 the os that is running in but no the less looks good. make just a universal os doesn't matter 4 u or from what like firefox that works on pc and mac and it can b modified 2 b unique no matter where it is at. its just 1 and 0 at the end of the day. also with more ppl working on it and constant update 2 it the power behind this is amazing google zeitgeist and the venus project peace

Yeah!

Only think I don't like about Linux is it being a minority, not having the driver support, and having applications made for it too, not just Windows, or Windows/Mac OSX. But all of this is because Linux is free. Only really big programs made for Linux too is some of the Adobe Photo and Video Editing Software, that's pretty much it. :(

It just needs to get big, then we'll start to get that, but how? :(

Programs - well that really depends on what you work on for me my experience with the ALSA JACK and Rosegarden owned any experience with Cubase Abelton and ProTools.

GUI umm you really gonna say that? Gnome, with or without compiz looks great, KDE with AWN can look just like Mac

Either way Unix derived systems own, love Mac Linux and Solaris for all their intended uses

Actually, it's not laggy, but it really is a bad reproduction of beryl/compiz, because it doesn't support realtime video like DWM in Vista (if you put a dreamscene on your desktop and move the window around you see the video moving behind it)

I have Vista and it's the next ME. I am a big windows fan, but they seriously need to work out all the kinks and shit in Vista. Some cool features with it and can be upgraded too, FYI my Vista has cubedesktop and objectdock, but I've seen Linux's version and it's way better.
