You can thank John Farrell "Juke" Logan for the harmonica lines in this theme song. He also played the bass harmonica on the "Home Improvement" title theme.
You can really tell that this was done early on. The cabinets were still wood (the doors were painted white after a few episodes), and then the wallpaper was toned down a little bit at the same time.
this is the best show ever created i watch it over and over.I have seasons 1 and 2 every night i watch them over and over and over.ITS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!!
i agree with mrsboob. i think the show was at its best in the earlier seasons like 1,2,3,4 and before roseanne just became worse. the jokes gotten worse.
It was the whole not-actually-really-happening cheating thing that happened with Dan that made the show kind of disappear for me, but it never got bad.
so did i but it confused me after a while because they like switched parts of beckys so much in one season.....i know in season 8 it was the lecy becky
Season Nine was the worst by far - I mean the finale was good, but some episodes were far from good - more like stupid. But I loved the show! I watched it from October 1988 to May 1997.
i had to watch the finale a few times because i had no idea that the show was basically just really a novel that roseanne was writing..lol good ending....but yeah umm......it was really sad that in her book dan died...that was too sad
It was sorta a cheap ending to be honest, it wasn't planned from the start. It was just something she came up with off the top of her head before writing the finale.
@mrsboob Season 9 really wasn't suppose to be; ABC wanted one more season, but the writers ran out of ideas. Also, the final season was based more around Roseanne's writing, which really hadn't been brought back up since season 3. Look at it from that point of view and it's a great season. :)

This is actually the Season 2 Opening Credits. The Music in season 1 and 2 are slight different. Same Opening but different Music.

There is just something to that harmonica/sax intro that just reverberates nostalgic memories of childhood. Love it.

I think to this day it was the most "Close to Home" t.v. show series ever. A low in-come small town family. You could relate to the Conner's.

it was amazing forever.
obviously, best show EVER made, no one can talk shit on it.
yeah she got crazier, but if you watched it its because it became a novel.

Dan died in real life, not in the book.

i thought that in real life dan died but in her book she made him stay alive because that's how she wanted it to be???
