Honestly right now just off the top of my head, what seems like the best deck would be some sort of T.G. stun variant. Since the cards that you would side against other decks don't hurt it as much (shadow-improsing mirror, maxx "c") but there are some that would hurt the deck: Dimensional fissure or macro cosmos, but, not many decks have the ability to play those cards, the only deck that can and still be a threat in my opinion is Inzektors, and to a lesser extent samurais. Just my 2 cents.
@TheSandTrap However when I posted this comment I hadn't seen the list and it was before YCS ATL so I think I made a solid prediction there, but yes, they are significantly hurt by the list, still a good deck, just not as good as it was.

@DemonicDuelist1 I thought about using Herald Agent before, but then I quickly remembered that TKR shits on the entire deck and is also a very popular card in the current metagame.

You made some very insightful points about Scraps being bad for this format. I had been playing Scraps since they came out, but with the September 2011 ban list, I also noticed that the deck was just hurt too much by all of the changes to the format.
I switched to T.G. Zombies at the start of the format. However, with Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror and Chain Disappearance as popular sides against Inzektors, I don't really want to risk playing T.G. Zombies anymore, since those hurt my deck too much.

I feel like Karakuris are under the radar now... just a bit. They main deck all the antimeta tkings, Vailers, and such. But there Machine Earths soo not something you my think of. Dont forget you Cyber Dragons and Chain diappearces!

In my opinion, rabbits and plants are the best decks right now. Rabbits because they can play defense and offense perfectly and plants cause they can go off for days and it's so hard to side against them. I would play rabbits but there too expensive and I would play plants but it's a very skill based deck and I usually miss play alot. So this whole format I've been playing agents and I've had huge success. This deck has out's for days and I can do so many different plays to win the game.
I believe anyone can make a deck legit. It comes down to the player's skill, luck, and cards. But the decks that are top tier are just decks that utilize the three factors i listed the best. :D

@Sandtrap I was at locals playing gks and was asking about the ruling on if inzektors can activate the effect of equipping ta monster from grave. The judges were undecided in the ruling. One side went with the fact that inzektors don't target. While the other said cards cannot be disturbed in the graveyard at all. If you know the ruling or know someone who can verify the ruling that would be great. I ended up losing the match but for future reference this could be incredibly helpful
@Kitsune96792 I initially thought that since Inzektors don't target that Necrovalley didn't stop them, but I was wrong; Necrovalley does stop Inzektors from equipping Hornet from the graveyard.
im going to YCS ATL and going against everything you just said and playing scraps, main decking king tigers since king tiger does shut down the meta. i do agree with u how maxx c does shit all over scraps, but it shits on all decks. tking is that hard to deal with if ur good. and veiler is just annoying.
I think that TG Drain is still a good deck since I beat Rabbit, Tour guide Wind Ups, and Tour guide Insectorz at my locals thursday. I was completely dominate. Out of the 5 rounds of swiss i was 2-0 everyone very fast and no one could respond to my skill drains and shard of greeds and random plus cards that maintain field advantage all the time. Plus i ran heavy back row with 3 starlight road and 3 skill drain. I cut the tg1-em1's out they are pretty useless this format.
@act15ben Sounds like you've adjusted your deck for the current meta for sure. I saw a similar deck yesterday that sided King Tiger Wanghus as well. Very annoying!
@TheSandTrap I'm very serious about this deck. I think TG Drain is gonna be a big impact during this Meta. I might even go to YCS Atlanta just to prove this deck can top a YCS. My build is more original. Today I went undefeated again. 44 people at my locals sunday tournament. 5 rounds of swiss and playoff top 16 for 4 more rounds. I went 9-0 I beat insetorz again as well as wind ups and more dinno rabbit and even plants and hero beat. and Herald Hyperion and Gallis Agents. I owned everyone.
@TheSandTrap I like just basically 2-0 people that top regionals and been to YCS in the past and got in top 32. I was like surprised how good my deck was playing. I'm scared of it being netdecked cause its really just that good. Your vids thought me alot about side decking and I know how to perfectly side out against almost any scenario with this deck. I can not be stopped by Maxx C or Vieler. And nothing can run over me. I am gonna run over them and plus like crazy.
Malefic Skill Drain, similar to what was run at ycs indy. The skill drain hurts both wind-up/inzektors. Gain field advantage and depending if you run the necrovalley version it might bring you great success.
I want to thank you again for your input on deck-building this format. I was going mad when the decks I want to build will not work for this current format. I have a pseudo Tengu-Plants, and an incomplete (yet fully built) Wind-ups. I want to try a Zeta Reluctant / Fortune Lady control, where Future Visions will start some shenanigans. However, like you said, if I were to take the latter to YCS Long Beach (my home town), especially my 1st tourney ever, I don't think I'll do well at all. Thanks!

@InTecknicolour XYZ Chaos was great in the pre-ORCS meta. Now, however, I do not think it is as good as it was. I never have been a fan of "stun" decks, because they typically do not have as many options when playing as other decks. But, shrug, maybe they could do well?

Vangaurd is interesting. Don't want to get into a second card game though. Personally, I'm running rabbit. I feel like it has the best overall match-ups with everything in the meta at the moment. Fiendish chain is such a godly card. And Dolkka is beast.
I'm running HERO Beat, because it's my best deck and I can't build another competitive deck right now. I have Veilers, D.D. Crows, Fiendish Chain, Skill Drains, Cyber Dragons (damn Zenmaines) and Shadow-Imprisoning Mirrors. I'm maining 1 Viewer, 1 Cyber, my Chain and considering a Skill Drain, rest being sided. Does that sound good? Does HERO beat have an at least ok match-up to the meta?
Also, liking Vanguard, seen a few episodes, haven't played it yet though. Would like to see it from you.
@NicoNicoNess I think that Hero Beat may be a strong metagame call since Veiler and Maxx "C", both popular cards, don't do much to the deck. I'm not sure how the match-up is vs DW, Rabbit, Agents, Plants, etc, but at least against Wind-Ups and Inzectors it seems like it can be strong.
Wind-Ups are scary consistent.. You don't need the loop to win, yes it is an amazing combo to have at disposal, but it honestly isn't needed. I would definitely play this deck if I went to Atlanta. I'm hoping they just hit the loop and not the deck itself, so the deck can still be played since it's mad fun to combo off with.

gk's, darkworld wont see as much play because of inzektors and windups running around and it's just a solid consistant deck with hate for everything, necrovalley shits on wind ups and inzektors, can't target the grave so no rat and no bringing back hornet

@TheSandTrap Haha ya it happens. And it is! My friend has been using gk's irl and on DN since we found this really interesting build and changed it up a bit to suit our liking. It does extremely well vs every deck in the meta right now. Even darkworlds(though this takes quite a few side spots as it CAN BE a rough matchup if you start bad). However, he's switching to inzektors cuz they remind him of blackwings lol. And he loooooved blackwings.

Vanguard is amazing!!! i just got my english stuff in the mail...its really great..The art for the game is done with the artist who does the yugioh manga.Yugioh R i think in particular so there is a lot of similarities
@TheSandTrap I'd be willing to guess 30% of the field won't have a clue how Wind-Up Rabbit interacts with the deck. Especially when people use it on Carrier to dodge Veiler/Fiendish Chain when looping.
I would run my tg stun deck Because i feel that it has an ok match up against wind ups and inzectors because you usually set your whole hand plus you play heavy negation for the inzectors. Great video
@Teamnofatchix No, people will still continue to use multiple Maxx "C" even though Plants are gone because Maxx "C" isn't good only vs Plants, but many decks.

@TheSandtrap gladiator beasts have a very good mu vs inzektors and wind-ups. Def. a good choice imo for ycs atlanta. rabbit is rabbit...and can topdeck well. Hero is a very interesting one as well and one i could see doing very well as well as better in the future. Chaos is a great choice,possibly the best, but i'm not so sure. Also, from 10:16-10:46 are my sentiments exactly lol. I'm just waiting for that banlist to decide what to use. IT NEEDS TO HURRY UP AND GET HERE!!!=/
@TheSandTrap Actually, GK's do VERY well vs inzektors. The constant interruption(compuls/book/bottomless/chain/etc.), necrovalley stopping hornet, and a early royal tribute is very strong but not neccesary at all.
@TheSandTrap For an example(there are quite a few however) there is a gk player who came in first out of around 170-200(can't remember but it's in that area) beating rabbits, agents, inzektors, and more.
Yes, I would go into YCS Atlanta and use Dark World. Even though Wind-Up can destroy your hand turn 1, that still isn't enough reason to not use the deck. With an increase of Veiler/Maxx "C" going around, that's just more dead cards for your opponent when they play against Dark World. Also, Deck Devastation Virus is ridiculous.
@Mukister Wha? I love Maxx "C" vs DWs, and Effect Veiler isn't too bad g2/g3 for the TGUs and Ravens. But shrug, if you choose to stick with DW, good luck!
@TheSandTrap Maxx "C" is a suboptimal card in my opinion against Dark World unless the opponent uses Card Destruction to pitch like 3 Sillva and 3 Beigge or something ridiculous like that. Any good Dark World player, any good player in general for that matter, wouldn't let Maxx "C" beat them.
I don't have access to Tour Guide or MGS Raven so cards like Effect Veiler really don't do anything to my build. Thanks for the response though!! Keep the videos coming!
Darkworlds are a terrible idea since all the siding for inzektors works against darkworlds. It's best to wait for the hype to die down if u want to use darkworlds.

@TheSandTrap I like just basically 2-0 people that top regionals and been to YCS in the past and got in top 32. I was like surprised how good my deck was playing. I'm scared of it being netdecked cause its really just that good. Your vids thought me alot about side decking and I know how to perfectly side out against almost any scenario with this deck. I can not be stopped by Maxx C or Vieler. And nothing can run over me. I am gonna run over them and plus like crazy.

Malefic Skill Drain, similar to what was run at ycs indy. The skill drain hurts both wind-up/inzektors. Gain field advantage and depending if you run the necrovalley version it might bring you great success.

I want to thank you again for your input on deck-building this format. I was going mad when the decks I want to build will not work for this current format. I have a pseudo Tengu-Plants, and an incomplete (yet fully built) Wind-ups. I want to try a Zeta Reluctant / Fortune Lady control, where Future Visions will start some shenanigans. However, like you said, if I were to take the latter to YCS Long Beach (my home town), especially my 1st tourney ever, I don't think I'll do well at all. Thanks!

@InTecknicolour XYZ Chaos was great in the pre-ORCS meta. Now, however, I do not think it is as good as it was. I never have been a fan of "stun" decks, because they typically do not have as many options when playing as other decks. But, shrug, maybe they could do well?

I'm running HERO Beat, because it's my best deck and I can't build another competitive deck right now. I have Veilers, D.D. Crows, Fiendish Chain, Skill Drains, Cyber Dragons (damn Zenmaines) and Shadow-Imprisoning Mirrors. I'm maining 1 Viewer, 1 Cyber, my Chain and considering a Skill Drain, rest being sided. Does that sound good? Does HERO beat have an at least ok match-up to the meta?
Also, liking Vanguard, seen a few episodes, haven't played it yet though. Would like to see it from you.

@NicoNicoNess I think that Hero Beat may be a strong metagame call since Veiler and Maxx "C", both popular cards, don't do much to the deck. I'm not sure how the match-up is vs DW, Rabbit, Agents, Plants, etc, but at least against Wind-Ups and Inzectors it seems like it can be strong.

Wind-Ups are scary consistent.. You don't need the loop to win, yes it is an amazing combo to have at disposal, but it honestly isn't needed. I would definitely play this deck if I went to Atlanta. I'm hoping they just hit the loop and not the deck itself, so the deck can still be played since it's mad fun to combo off with.

LOL cardfight vanguard seems like its at the early stage where its not broken yet so the playing field is a little more even.Card art is amazing for it.i just dont understand how Yugioh is a game of hundreds of thousands of cards and only a few are actually used....sad.cant believe its come to tour guide becoming a staple.

gk's, darkworld wont see as much play because of inzektors and windups running around and it's just a solid consistant deck with hate for everything, necrovalley shits on wind ups and inzektors, can't target the grave so no rat and no bringing back hornet

@TheSandTrap Haha ya it happens. And it is! My friend has been using gk's irl and on DN since we found this really interesting build and changed it up a bit to suit our liking. It does extremely well vs every deck in the meta right now. Even darkworlds(though this takes quite a few side spots as it CAN BE a rough matchup if you start bad). However, he's switching to inzektors cuz they remind him of blackwings lol. And he loooooved blackwings.

I would run my tg stun deck Because i feel that it has an ok match up against wind ups and inzectors because you usually set your whole hand plus you play heavy negation for the inzectors. Great video

@TheSandtrap gladiator beasts have a very good mu vs inzektors and wind-ups. Def. a good choice imo for ycs atlanta. rabbit is rabbit...and can topdeck well. Hero is a very interesting one as well and one i could see doing very well as well as better in the future. Chaos is a great choice,possibly the best, but i'm not so sure. Also, from 10:16-10:46 are my sentiments exactly lol. I'm just waiting for that banlist to decide what to use. IT NEEDS TO HURRY UP AND GET HERE!!!=/

@TheSandTrap Actually, GK's do VERY well vs inzektors. The constant interruption(compuls/book/bottomless/chain/etc.), necrovalley stopping hornet, and a early royal tribute is very strong but not neccesary at all.

Yes, I would go into YCS Atlanta and use Dark World. Even though Wind-Up can destroy your hand turn 1, that still isn't enough reason to not use the deck. With an increase of Veiler/Maxx "C" going around, that's just more dead cards for your opponent when they play against Dark World. Also, Deck Devastation Virus is ridiculous.

@TheSandTrap Maxx "C" is a suboptimal card in my opinion against Dark World unless the opponent uses Card Destruction to pitch like 3 Sillva and 3 Beigge or something ridiculous like that. Any good Dark World player, any good player in general for that matter, wouldn't let Maxx "C" beat them.
I don't have access to Tour Guide or MGS Raven so cards like Effect Veiler really don't do anything to my build. Thanks for the response though!! Keep the videos coming!
