That was 1989, and Clark only had 5 fights the whole year. He was hurting. I remember how bad his back was, he hardly played for a very long time. These matches in no way represents Wendel Clark, or a healthy Clark.
completely untrue, when he fought Probert, his back was already a problem
Wikipedia:
"The serious back injury that Clark suffered during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks in 1987, when he was cross-checked into the crossbar of his own goal, hindered his progress as an elite NHL player."
He probably could've been fighting a lot more that year, had he taken steriods like most of the enforcers were busy doing sadly.
@babystinky after the probert hit/fight/beating in 1987 clark left the ice and was out the rest of that game, I guess this maybe could have happened after the chicago game (which I was unaware that clark got injured in). Later in that same game leafs and wings, the leafs put semenko out to go after probert for the hit and fight with clark and that was 1st probert semenko fight.
i wasn't a big semenko fan. i know Clark and Probert had round 2 which was a far different result. Having said that, Probert was a bigger and stronger fighter then Wendel, but Clark was not well represented in the first fight, due to his back injury. Also Joey Kocur was a tough cookie. Kocur and Clark go back a long way, and some say their cousins. Even during the play offs, They made it known they would not fight each other.
@babystinky ...agreed, what you say is true, pound for pound clark was one of the toughest that ever played in the nhl and yes probert was much larger and fought more.
Man, those were the great old days of Minnesota hockey. When they put Churla, McRae, Tinordi out there on a shift the physicality picked up exponentially.
Tinordi was the last of that great old school group of D-Men who could play AND fight. Before all the Iron Curatin Euros showed up with their blazing speed.
I remember this. Not to make excuses, but Wendels Back was done and out around this time, he had real problems at this time. During this night his back had a flare up.
@babystinky I hate to break it to you, but Tinordi beat Clark's ass twice. Styles make fights, and Clark didn't match up well against Tinordi. Wendel was a guy that needed to land first, and usually hit opponents before they had their gloves off.
@dub16100 BoSox must have a lot of time between his job as a Boston lieutenant and season ticket holder for 4 teams to keep creating these fake accounts giving himself credit. What a fucking loser you are
@Bottomless80Depths you know a way too much about Bosox which is scary in it's own right you fucking rube......i agree with his description of Clark's fighting style so go jerk off to your Wendell Clark poster you little cunt.
@dub16100 You wouldn't say that to me in person. Maybe I know this because your immature comments and numerous accounts have polluted 50% of the old school fight vids. I am here to tell you to fuck off Bosox. I'd be willing to bet most youtube hockey fight fans would agree.

@Bottomless80Depths i was ggtrains but had to change my name a little while back when they combined the youtube account with yahoo account or vice-versa....
@Bottomless80Depths i will say this though:if Bosox changes his accounts to pat himself on the back that IS pretty pathetic....i agree. i've seen his name several times and found he's pretty knowledgable about the fighters. But, he went a little looney when i stated i remembered Laraque say he thought Brashear was the best fighter in the league a few years ago...called me a liar which i thought was weird. I don't know what there is for me to gain by saying this about Laraque...lol.
@dub16100 Either way I was checking out some of my old favourite fight vids and have watched these clowns BoSox and HunterCalgary disrespect everyone for years. Actually I'm 30 years old, and probably should be more mature; I've just watched these guys harass ppl for years on all my favourite scraps and call ppl out and not show up, etc. Real ridiculous, but if you engage online you play into it I suppose.
@Bottomless80Depths i hear you....i do the same thing.....bottomless-call people out and not show up? what do you mean? (That huntercalgary guy has got something wrong with him in my humble opinion). Take care.

@BoSoxnation1972 Usually Twist was a fighter who didnt care about styles, he fought his looking bout every time IMO, a bit one dimensional fighter but wins, wins and wins everytime though.
He got Proberts, McKenzies, Byers, Nilans numbers etch etch.... No matter who was his opponent, was it maratonfighter McRae, Langdon, Miller or McSorley but he could to beat up those guys and if his opponent was like Probert, McCarthy, Laraque or Grimson as he usually wins those guys.
@MrJuha82 Twist took steroids, and before he juiced, Probert beat him decisively in their 1st fight. Joey Kocur smashed his ribs when they fought. Jim McKenzie usually beat Twist & TKO'd him a couple of times, while Gino Odjick beat him too.
I remember Lyle Odelein kicking Twist's ass when Twist was a Nordique. Berube and Twist fought a bunch of times, & they were pretty even, so that suggests that the old addage is true: styles make fights!
@BoSoxnation1972 Leroux kicked with his right leg at Twists leg and Twist fell down.
In a way Leroux bailed out because of that very very cheap move and he bloodied Twist.
No points for Leroux of that move.
First half was a draw/edge Twist for landing couple more but second half was a draw because Leroux did a move which i dont count because kicking at Twist who fell down.
Peoples havent figure out that thing, and i am the only one IMO who understand that thing.

@MrJuha82 What? Leroux cut Twist badly, then Twist was hunting for a rematch the next game the following year. Twist won the rematch (round 2), but because Francois turtled when he fell in the 2nd fight, Twist jumped him again, but nevr got Leroux as badly sa Leroux got him.
Francois had tspe on his wrist and got a match penalty, but had it recinded because the tape was on his wrist and thumb, not his fingers or knuckles (which would have been illegal)
@BoSoxnation1972 I dont care even if Leroux bloodied Twist badly because he bailed out by putting him to the ice witk kicking move/slewfoot which isnt a part of fightning IMO.
Here is one example, if fighter threw one shot which dont land and he scored a takedown immediately and bloodied his opponent on the ice it isnt a victory for him but if its a question about RAGDOLL move so then it is a clear win.
Takedown, slewfoot or kicking move which caused a falling dont mean any shit to me.
@BoSoxnation1972 Also punching on the ice is clearly wrong IMO because first A) its dangerous B) its cheap and C) its baby, CHEAP tactic to scores a takedown and took over on the ice=no win
@MrJuha82 Leroux won plain as day, but Twist was a far better fighter in the big scheme of things...even before he cheated and took steroids, Twist was a better fighter. Leroux got lucky.
I fought in 22 tournaments from Boston to NY to Philly between the ages of 12-21. I won 12 titles in various weight classes, and had a record of 46-9 with 2 draws LMMFAO
