it didn't fly on its own, this is real, it was being held up by two poles to stop it from falling over and flaping madly on the ground, but it lifted itself off of the ground at around 2:15

It's called the brain, something no computer has yet to replicate. Yes it can perform set formulas quicker, but can replicate the cognitive ability of the brain to have creative interaction with its environment.

Why would you like to see nature downgrade itself? The brain is by far the most complex thing human beings had ever laid eyes on. No computer had ever even come close to replicate the brain of a fly.

actually they have, swarm programs, obsticle recoglition programs, balancing programs, all the things a fly can do a computer can now be programmed to do. its a matter of shrinking it small enough to controle this small robot, and finding a power supply light enough so this robot can fly
