A couple of us where I live are very interested in this type of model, we dont want the cheapy type model that probably wont cope with a breeze. Nitro is expensive and hard to freight...way too expensive for what it is..otherwise ducted fan could have been an option. I have a Trex 450 heli, always been impressed with its flight time per pack.
Checked out Hobby Lobby, sold out of the Eurofighter for now :) but will keep my eye on this
We have real Eurofighters stationed here on the Islands btw.
I have a fair bit of experience with different prop planes and helis, am looking at a Grumania Eurofighter turbine. Just wonder if the EDF route would be a good alternative. Would certainly be the cheaper option, whats your opinion of the fan unit, ESC etc...quite good qaulity?
@robraver : I have to admit, This is by far, the best Foam EDF jet I've ever flown. And I own a ton of Foam EDF jets. You can hear the awesome sound of the EDF unit. I've had zero issues with any of the electronics and the plane just flys amazing! Since flying this jet at the field, All of the other EDF pilots there have bought one and they too find it to be their best Foam EDF jet in their fleet as well. And it just looks awesome! An A++++ from me for sure!
@robraver : I've flown mine in 15 mph winds before. Don't make this your 1st EDF jet though unless you are already a very experienced pilot with all types of planes. EDF's handle much differently, especially this one as it's heavy. Thanks for commenting and the question!
I would like to know if you tested the CG of this bird because i just got one and i haven't flought it yet, i got a 4000 mah 6s battery and i test it where it says that the CG is, the nose is really heavy. in what positiion did u put it?
@pooh466 : I use 2 3cell 5000mah lipos in series. I put them on their side and in the stock place. My CG comes out a tad nose heavy, but I prefer this jet being that way. But it's only a tad nose heavy. Unfortunately, you really dont have much choice of moving the batt around.
@vmhorne : I put 2 3cell 5000mah wired in Series. This created a 6cell 5000mah. Didnt effect the CG at all really. Flew great. Just in case, I'll go over the series vs parallel. Put batteries in Series combines the Voltage but not the MAH. Put Batts in Parallel and it combines the MAH, but not the Voltage. Thanks for the question and good luck with yours! You'll love it!
@rctrance : The pilot I have in there came with one of my other planes. And try as I might, I just can't seem to remember which one it came with. But my best guess is that it came with my Twin 66mm A-10 from Banana Hobby. If I am remembering correctly, I didnt use it in that jet because it simply didnt fit and I never did understand why they sent that pilot with that jet.
@rctrance : My Pilot is not the one that comes with the jet. I ordered this one when it first came out, so it didnt come with a pilot yet. Later, Hobby-Lobby sent me the pilot for it. they look very similar though.
@h4ydn2008 : Yes, it has Thrust Vectoring, Working Canards, retracts, nav lights, and a sweet 90mm EDF power plant. Runs off 6cells 5000mah. Thanks for the question and view!
I love this EDF, got one shipped to me right now.. lots of upgrades to: neu motor, schuebeler edf, MG-servos and lots more.. Instead of the original 89 oz trust I'll get 115 oz.. Can't wait to fly this puppy! : )
How hard was it to mount the batteries in the series? Arent they slightly bigger then the ones they reccommend? Interested as Im thinking about getting one! :)
@TAKTEZ : I had to lay the large 5000mah lipos on their side next to each other and then sand out some of the foam from the underside of the canopy hatch. It wasnt difficult at all. Thanks for the great question and viewing.
@wesleyweber10 : There is no right answer to that question. However, you can do things to reduce the chance of a crash on first flight. 1. Start practicing for many many hours on a Simulator. Like Real Flight or Phoenix. 2. Pick a beginner plane for your first flight. LIke the HobbyZone Super Cub. 3. Fly with an experienced pilot and possibly on a buddy box system.
awww bigpuppy, if im a dick,,, THEN SUCK ME!!! lookie lookie, ol red has a friend.. lololol How Pathetic. hey you two gals have a nice lifr together...
@bigdawg8970 : Thanks man! I'm still working on it. Right in the middle of coding the site, youtube changed too much of their style, so I had to go back and re-write code. But, it's getting there... Thanks again!
to RCRedBaron... why would I ever want to give money to some lame dipwads that have to "Pretend" that there military pilots that are flying for the greater good? Yes I do enjoy the Hobby very much so, but its Dipwads like you that have to go to the extreme that I dont get! and all i was saying is, There in no way that I would use a runway like that one for my EXPENSIVE Plane. and the only ODD is You Red!! Now do you GET IT???
@BerryM6162 : Oh good lord little boy, whats the matter? Tosh Tongue Punch your momma's Fart Box and now you're all pissy about it?? Get off your soap box, stop whining about crap you obviously know absolutely nothing about. Go back on youtube when you are out of puberty young boy.
first, you really need a beeter runway,,, and second, why does everyone have to taxi there plane to the tarmack when its just easier to carry it there??? hmmm go figure.
@BerryM6162 : Are you volunteering to donate the money to the club to have them re-pave it?? And, if you have to ask why taxi, then it just cant be explained...You have to just get it. Just like any other hobby man. Dont question the odd, just enjoy the show... :)
Excellent flight video! Would you be able to post a video with the transmitter visible and the jet from the rear so it would be possible to see stick movement (in all directions / slow) as the control surfaces are moving? I think a lot of people would appreciate this as a final check to ensure setup is correct. Thank you very much!

@EliteGamer2009 : Great question. I get asked that question alot, so on my website, I set up a special page just for that question. It's full of ideas, suggestions and the like. I have the Hobby Lobby F-35. Same color of plane. Sometimes I lose orintation with both top and bottom being the same color and with a hazy sky. I put a yellow checkerboard strip on top of both wings. It worked great with my orintation.
@TinkerManRC : Thanks Tim! She really is a good looking jet. I was really impressed with the flight ability of this one! Super Smooth 90mm EDF jet thats for sure!
