nono i meant right before you got into the elevator, the dwarf gekko just kinda.... stopped moving. happens at 2:17

Those 3 dwarf gekkos are always there. They only move if you make a sound (walking or crouching)

Thanks man, this helped alot with my no kill/alert playthrough. Why did the dwarf gekko stop moving at the elevator tho? (haven't played BBE yet)

The difficulty doesn't matter, that gekko always stays up there for a bit before jumping down.
