  • I leave for great lakes on june 12 2012. The first thing i'm going to do after my A school is volunteer for FMF. I wanna get every devil dog back from overseas that i can.

  • @DamyanXD1 its kind all fake now. the war is a scam.. dont waste your life for the big greedy bastards. rip in peace brothers.

  • My Son called from Afghanistan today and said " You know you are in a bad place, when you prefer MRE's to the Chow Hall" Thank you for this tribute to my Son his fellow FMF Corpsmen and The Devil Dogs the serve. Pissing off the Grim Reaper one Marine at a time...........HooRah

  • Thought it was good. Shows the many aspects of a Corpsman-jack of all trades-master of none- been there-done it! 21 yrs USN HM1, two tours with the Corps- miss it every day!

  • Do you volunteer to be a combat corpman? or are you chosen?

  • 2 people are cunt bitches

  • I miss being a Corpsman, but NOT the MREs!!!

  • once you're FMF qual'd and all, how do you get yourself in one of the line platoons? doing patrols? i wouldn't want to be stuck at the BAS.

  • "When death decides to dance, we, the Hospital Corps cut in"- Unknown

  • SEMPER FI, brothers

  • I have just met a Navy Corpsman recently who had just come home from Afghanistan.I told him I had served in the Marines. He was very respectful and I knew he did'nt want2B bored with my sea stories.I did show him a picture of my kids though.I gave the bartender what I would hope would cover his bar tab and left him a note on a cocktail napkin. It read that if it had'nt been 4 a "DOC" the boys in that picture would'nt B alive 2day.I owe my life 2 a DOC and will never B able 2 repay him.SemperFiDOC!

  • Post a damn disclaimer about copyright infringement to the music and how it's sole intent is for "entertainment purposes only" so they can't whine about it. They don't give a fuck what we did over there, it's their way or the highway PERIOD. Good video, bro. Any other Corpsmen or Devil Dawgs, feel free to add me ~ HM2 Adams (RockDoc)

  • WMG needs to keep their asses out of stuff. This is a tribute to the marines and their corpsmans who bring them back alive. They all fight and die as brothers.A corpsman is pretty much a marine.

  • Another audio squashed for people who want to hear it. No doubt from some friking lawyer who has nothing else better to do and contributes zip to society. Thanks.

  • Dear youtube:

Thank you for showing your appreciation for those Docs who lay down their lives for their Marine Corps brothers by disabling the audio in this tribute. Obviously there's not a corpsman or Marine among you.

  • i think you guys were in my class. i was in 2nd plt and my instrcutors were sgt deleon and hm2 padilla

  • are there navy corpsman reservist?

  • Lots of them, I did reserve time with a USMC reserve unit instead of a navy one.

  • hi. i want to be a combat corpsman, my cousin is in afghanistan at camp leatherneck, but he worked at bethesda for like 9 years, can i go in and just get deployed? i dont want to work in a hospitable if people are dying at war.

  • You have to go to field med before deploying with division but I never had a problem getting orders to division. I did sign an extension of six months to get back to the grunts when they decided I had enough division time and sent me to a hospital. Right now you should have no problems getting to division.

  • Corpsman: Pissing off the Grim Reaper, one Marine at a time!

    LOVE FOR THE DOCS!

  • I was wondering I was chosen to become a HM and want to ensure I become a combat corpsman. What would I have to do to ensure that I become a combat corpsman (instead of another HM assignment) and what is the training process (what woud be my A school? Will I go through Marine boot camp?)?

  • You'll go to Navy boot camp in Great Lakes Illinois, then to HM school, which is right down the street from RTC, and after that you'll go to FMF school which trains you to become a medic. If you want to go FMF (Fleet Marine Force) Just tell your recruiter and they'll put it in your contract. I think it's an undermanned field so you shouldn't have a problem getting a slot, they're actually making a lot of HM graduates go to FMF training and then to their other designated schooling.

  • Thank you for the info, what is FMF training like?

  • no ul go navy

  • hooyah HM!! Corpsman Up!!

  • Marines best friend = Corpsman!

  • goddamned WMG

  • I served 22 yr, and no douth will do it again if opprtunity shows. HMC/RET

    Because Marines are humans too.

    ;D

  • thanx

  • hospital corpsman (HM) shippin out 2010419 any advice would be welcome

  • Study hard, study some more, do PT 5 days a week, IT 2 days a week, and then study some more. Alot of good men will be counting on you along with their families back home. Know your shit and stay mentally and physically strong (it WILL make a difference). Take care of your dogs, be safe, and God bless. HM2 Adams (aka RockDoc)

  • I retired 21 years ago, after 24 yrs of service in military medicine (4 yrs as an Air Force medic and 20 yrs as an HM). Things have definetly changed but the pride, it's still going strong.

    Good Luck and God Bless

  • who are you with henriquez? are you saying you are a SARC?

  • corpsman are the best!

  • lol at the generation kill photos

  • what makes the green grass grow? BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD! oorah! can't wait to finish boot camp so i can go to field medic service school!

  • you still got a school after boot camp and then you head over to camp Pendleton. Good luck on your FMF. I am an HM too but instead i went to the special forces.

  • Camp Pen Son!!!!

  • semper fidelis

  • This is a very motivating video! Bravo Zulu!

    Semper Fi devil Docs!

    Doc Owens, HM1(FMF)

  • Hey, Owens. Where'd you go to RTC and NTC at? If you were 936 TripleThreat, hit me up. HM2 Adams (RockDoc)

  • What's up guys...im OS1,fkin chillin up in CIC,doing nada, crumpling paper balls(mostly unrep and moboard) n throwing it at the 3rd classes with OSC...shit,life's easy being OS :P

  • You know man, when I did this video thats all I knew and had. Now, after a Combat Deployment last year, in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, I still feel proud of my training because it help me to bring back my Marines alive. Try to see this video for what it is, a tribute and honor. And if you life is so pathetic that you need to say and do these thing to feel better about your self... well, I guess you should go and Kill yourself...

In behalf of all my Marines, fellow Corpsmen and myself...

  • @CombatCorpsman Checked his page out. It, like him, do not amount to a lot. He probably got his jollies pissing you off. Welcome to the brother-hood. I was a SARC for more years than you have probably been alive, made SC, barely. Thanks for serving, Doc.

  • @CombatCorpsman OORAH Doc, Great Pics too bad the YouTube Goons won't let the Audio play. I'm a "Former" FMF Corpsman myself from 91-98. Semper Fi and good pics.

  • your a fuckin cunt for saying this. Here this guy is out saving lives and your nice and snug at your comp. cussing him out. you probably are fucking your self

  • This guys a fuckin prick Doc. Fuck em..

  • @mogle420 F*ck off. Corpsman are several thousand times the human being you will ever hope to be.

  • hey good thing most your pics were of you in fmss! next time try not to past too much random sh*t off the internet and post stuff that you were involved in...

  • Please, for all our sakes, if you are going to write something in a presentation about the Navy, Marines, or Corpsman specifically, use proper spelling and grammar! There is no excuse to embarrassing us this way.

And there are wings on a caduceus because Heremes, messenger of the Gods, carried a winged staff, which came to represent healing. Get it right folks.

    This has gone beyond ridiculous.

    HM3 M. Anderson

  • it's DEVIL DOCS! get it right!

To all my brothers and sister that wear the caduceus DO THE DAMN THING!!

there is a reason there are wings are on the caduceus.

    HM3 R Hernandez

  • I like to call these guys Devil Ducks. Hooyah!

  • Thanks, I love this video.

  • lol i was a boatswains mate so me haveing a 35 got me into corp school easy.I passed with flying colors and was a co-op epo so a 35 can do it bro.you can have a 29 and get corpsman.you dont have to be smart, you need to have fast reflexes and a sharp mind.brains need not apply lol.

  • Corpsman 110 years and still going strong.

  • damn this is coo shit, im a marine, and to all my corpsman who served with me on the 13th meu semper fi.

  • was never with the 13th MEU but Semper Fi!

  • i love serving with these crazy motherfuckers! I'll go to war again anytime anywhere with Marines!

  • keep that fire burning for all Corpsmen!

    Jayvee Mateo, HMC(SW/AW/FMF), USN, Ret

  • damn bro,I am a corpman too and this video kinda modivates me.good job.semper fi.

  • Zuniga, Ramos! I went through FMSS with you guys!~ Hope all is extremely well... this video deserves major props.... Urr!

  • I think....ha class of April 2005?

  • my cousin is serving as a corpsman god bless

  • im a future corpsman and i want to know what job as a corpsman will give u the most sea duty possible????

  • Nothing finer then a good ole Devil DOC keeping our Marines in the battle

  • Its just a bunch of mind games...it is alot more lenient than Boot Camp, navy and marine corps...because well you get liberty and time off. But you will be subject to some mind games and some physical hardships...Its not like everyone says it is.

  • Im am an FMF Corpsman with 1st Tank Bn. Scout Platoon... Training all together took about 9 months to complete... once you get to your unit, then you are considered a boot till your first deployment. Pretty much you will feel like you will never get past the training but actually its shorter than you think if you think in the long term.

As far as weapons go I have an m9 and an M16A4. Depending on the unit you are with you may or may not get a rifle.

  • when you go to camp pendleton for fmf training, is that harder than navy basic, is it like marine basic do u know?

  • I just joined the Navy as a Corpsman and I am asking myself that same question, but I just can't wait to go. I think I ended up with an awsome job, I just couldn't see my self doing college.

  • yea im thinking about it. what score on the asvab do u need for that job?

  • i scored a 35 and im a corpsman so dont worry about your score

  • shit i got a 48 and they bitched about me trying to get in, i graduated and all that good stuff. now their making me get a waiver before i can complete MEPS it sucks.but ya this is what im thinking about doing.

  • you got a 35 and your a corpsman?

    fucking recruiters!

i got a 79 and they told me that if i wanted corpsman i would have to come in every weekend until i take the actual ASVAB and work with them...

    bastards....

  • are you a fatass? why do you need to come in every weekend... to PT. Why don't you just do the Marine Corps?

  • lol nah, the "coming in every weekend" was because they wanted to make sure i was studying. lol like navy recruiters PT, you should see some of these guys.

the reason im joining the navy to become a corpsman rather than a marine is because im more interested in saving marines than killing arabs. ill do both, i just think i could better serve by saving life, not just taking it.

  • deep shit. i know a lot of guys that want to become corpsman because they want to do things similar to what Marines do AND skip the Marine Corps boot camp. pussies. now i know you're not like that. Hey, maybe you'll be saving me someday if i ever get into trouble. lol. Ship out June 15, 2009 for Recruit Training!

  • iv actually been working tirelessly with a SEAL motivator just so i can be in just as good(if not better) shape than the marines ill be with. at no point do i ever want to be the "corpsman that cant keep up."

but i would never claim that navy boot camp is anything less than cake walk lol.

  • what did that 79 turn into once you took the asvab?

  • its harder than navy basic.navy basic is pussy shit and no you only do parts of the Marines mct and go over some stuff from they're boot camp.

  • 0000,8404 ooorah doc's.fmss school.

  • This vid brought tears to my eyes,

thank you for sharing & giving long over due recognition for both units.

    "SEMPER FI",will do or die.

To all of our service men & ladies,

    "THANK YOU",from San Jose,Cal USA.

  • I aspire to become a combat corpsman how would all of the trainings take?

  • First, you go Basic Training in Great Lakes, IL for 8 weeks, then you go back to do medical training in Great Lakes for an average of 96 days... Then you get 8 more weeks of training for the FMF if you choose to go in that particular direction.

  • do corpsman get weapons?

  • Yes a M4 and a 9mm

  • I suck at math. I have been told if you know the basics for math, and you are willing to go on the frontline, you'll be fine. You will be considered a Marine, even though you are a "Doc".

    SEMPER FIDELIS

  • I leave in July, E3 US Navy, Hospital Corpsman....

I promise that I will protect and heal every Marine, they have my word.

  • Just wanted to tell you good luck. Keep up the good attitude, but also realize that you are not always going to prevent death or severe injury to your Marines/Sailors. The hard truth is that you may lose your best friend out there no matter how hard you try to save him. I was not with him, but my 19 y.o. roomate was KIA by an IED. I know that there was nothing that could be done. Just remember that ultimately God is in control and that everyone has an expiration date. This will keep you sane.

  • oh oh oh god post some fmss pics ughhhhh

  • My brother is a marine. he use to tell me about the corspman he served with in iraq!!

pretty tough sailor and a good one at that.

thanks to all my brother's brothers and the corspmans that served with them!!!

    Godbless all you guys!!!

    SEMPER FIDELIS!!!!!

  • and themselves

  • Are medics still only allowed to carry weapons to defend their patient?

  • and themselves

  • If im not mistaken there were more Medals of Honor given to field medics and corpsmen than any other soldier in WWI and WWII. God bless all of our men and women in our military.

  • Just go in they'll set you up i did 5 years in the Hosp. Corps. and even served in

    Afgan. Thugalogplaya

  • i just got out of highschool a year ago and was working since. i litteraly forgot most of my math skills, is there alot of math in being a corpsman? if there is, what type of math. anyone got e-mail thats willing to talk about how to become a corpsman with me? its a dream of mine dudes, i really need this career!

  • i really want to become an fmf corpsman but i need to know what i need to do! still not in the navy yet but any tips for starters?

  • you should talk to a recruter, i just got my HM 3 days ago... i ship out december 9

  • score high on your Asvab, work out alout. an start talking to a recuiter.

  • Corpsman also, Ryan Harwood, let me know if anybody knows me.

  • Corpsman are so legit...

  • oorah! FMF all the way.

  • There has not been one corpsman I didn't like.

  • wats the difference between a corpsman and a marine?

  • Corpsman is a Navy Medic attatched to Marine divisions. So technically, a Corpsman is not a Marine, thats the difference.

  • The training to be a Marine is very hard and a lot of working out.

A corpsman is someone the a Jarhead looks for to care for them when injured. they wear either their navy uniform or the Marine uniform BUT NEVER THE DRESS BLUES. But to wear either uniform you have to be FMF. if you ever go back to a ship than you no longer can wear the MARINE uniform.

  • Ah, memories of Camp Pendleton...

  • SEMPER FI...CORPMAN UP!!!

  • OOOO RAH CORPSMAN UP, I am enlisting in 2 years as a FMF Corpsman!!!!!!

  • semper fedelis, always faithful ,oorah! calling a corpsman a medic is an insult

  • Im thinking about becoming a combat corpsman.I've already served 4 years in the military. The reason I want to be a combat medic is to save marines in ''COMBAT'.I dont want to a blue side corpman.Ive been to Iraq already and saw servicemembers severely injured from combat and made somewhat of an impression on me to save lifes.

  • hoooooo raaaahhhh!!!!! corpsman up!!!

    - SUPER DOC

  • Anyone could tell me the Song that is playing during the "poem".

    thanks, Nik. FMF-Recruit. Semper Fi!

  • Great Vid, losy music. Sorry Doc. Semper Fi.

  • Hoo-Rah!

    ~ Doc Bliss

  • My brother is a Corpsman, he does his first tour in February. It is a very noble job to defend your country and heal people. Reading all of these comments makes me feel like I have family everywhere, and I'm not even in the military. :) God Bless all of you.

  • It makes me sad and poud to have served with 1stMEF as their corpsman. OOHRAA, carry on the proud tradition Docs'

  • Ooh-rah!

  • does anyone know what kinda rifle that is at frame 1:30, looks kinda small. is it a springfield or something

  • Can't get a good look at it but I'm pretty sure it is an M-40A1...the old Marine Corps sniper rifle.

  • i wish i was still with the marines as their corpsman. i sure miss serving them

  • I signed on as a Hospital Corpsman not too long ago. Shipment to basic training is coming up somewhat soon.

  • Dad was a FMF Corpsman in Quang Tri Vietnam 69-70.

    Semper Fi.

  • great video

  • im going to usaf for pararescue or uscg for rescue swimming

  • Do you know why the Navy has Marines load up on their ships? Becuase sheep would be too obivious!

  • I leave in January for Corpsman training can't wait... God bless the Marines I'll do everything I can to help them!

  • wannabeseal....make up your mind son, do u wanna be a corpsman or a seal. unless you are cross rating you aren't going to Corps School in a month, this would have had to be written in bootcamp. Don't be a poser, do the real thing -Devil Doc HM3 (FMF)

  • SEMPER FI MY BROTHERS

  • Doc, patch me up soon, Semper Fi

  • Nice video Doc C HM3 Ooooooooo Raaaaaaaaaaaa DEVIL DOGS!!!!!!!!! Hard Core!

  • My dad's corpsman, and he served in desert storm. He's going to Iraq again.

I want to join the military.

Though right now I'm stuck between joining the marines, or following my dad's footsteps.

  • My husband is a FMF Corpsman.

And he is so proud to be such.

  • nice, my next door neighbour who is now very old, Donald was on the beaches of Normandy picking up the bits of dead soldiers that were lieing around everywhere. I was like 14 when he told me. said he saw hands with wedding rings on them just scattered everywhere. horibble times for him. now hes is about 85. Quiet old man that saw more than most people ever would on the planet. his best mate at the time cracked under the pressure. Went mentally insane and has been dead for about ten years now.

  • Very nice!

  • heh, not the best memories of the war. there have been better times for him

  • this video is really good it really shows wat a corpsman is all about

  • i cant wait till i find out when i ship and get done with FMSS school :-D

  • Horrible choice in music for a video like this.

    Doc Nasty, HM2

  • Exactly. Like I said before, shipmate! You need to change the f----n' music for this video. Do you even KNOW that System of a Down are troop-bashing, anti-government, ultra-liberal??? Awesome video, doc. BUT you NEED to change the damn song!

  • Dont forget that if you are in the military your fighting for right of system of a down to say what they want, and who gives a shit what thier political views are its good music. By the way the video sucked for anyone who doesnt know whos in the video it was boring. Go to iraq and make a video rather than this FMSS pussy BS.

  • Hey man, I just came back from Ar Ramadi, Iraq, worst city at Iraq until we got done with it. And I still feel proud of my training. If your vagina hurts or got some sand on your clit, get some vagisil and let us be.

  • Yea Doc I know Ramadi sucks, I got back from Fallujah in 06, Ramadi 05. My point was that FMSS was as EZ as summercamp, but I hope that training served u well in Iraq and u helped some marines. Cuz at the end of the day thats what we do. and just cuz u served with marines doesnt mean u gotta sound like a marine, I bet that vagisil comment is all u got. Dont be afraid to defend yourself with some intelligence, u pussy. Btw most marines are smart as shit.

  • "Btw most marines are smart as shit."

Hmmm... Probably not the best way to say what you intended.

  • I just switched my rate to corpsman too :) i find out when i ship soon prolly..

  • this video is badass, I just enlisted for corpsman

  • Ooooorah!

    Doc Reyes, USN

  • I am a ex South African army medic and I really enjoyed the video, the only question I got is where can I get a copy of the "poem' I guess you could call it. Becasue with a very few changes I think it could cover what all combat medics do and why.

  • Good video. You don't need System of a Down though on the soundtrack.

  • nothing is more honorable than being a combat medic in my opinion.

  • Wow, this is an OUTSTANDING video! Well done!

"Through the gats of hell for a wounded Marine"

  • Do Corpsman get to choose if they want to go through FMSS or not?

Like for example, If I signed up as a HM, how long would it be before I could go to FMSS and start working with Marines?

  • if you are male most likely after corps school you will go to FMSS. Some contracts have FMSS on it (NCS). When you pick u orders during corps school just tell them u want to go to FMSS and they will send you. Most of males are going.

    Doc Gao, USN

  • Do Corpsman who go to FMSS (go green side) spend most of the rest of their career in fleet marine force?

Or do you alternate between blueside and greenside, even if you go to FMSS?

  • After FMSS most corpsman go green side but you can also go to blue side. You can alternate, it is hard right now because of the war on Iraq, they need green side corpsman!!!

    oooohraaa Doc Gao, USN

  • Cool.

Corpsman sounds like the best job in the military. If I join that's what I will go for.

I hope I can spend most of my time greenside.

  • being a sand sailor is great but quad zero corpsmen "blue side" as you referred to it has perks, you get to see alot more of the world.

  • I know this posting was from 7 months ago but let me clarify....unless you are female you have a 99.9% liklihood of going to Field Med. Chances are you won't even get a choice of Camp Lejeune or Camp Pendleton, they just hand you what is available. As for how long it takes to get there- bootcamp= 9 weeks, Corps School= roughly 13/14 weeks, you will probably be on hold for a couple of weeks then Field Med is 13 weeks it's like another mini bootcamp so oyu know how to be a marine.

  • I was a corpsman about 25 yrs ago.. and you new kids keep bringing to a higher level. God Bless you all. The work you do, is the closest thing you can be to becoming Angels. The Marines need you. Fight to press on.. and Press the Fight foward!!!!

  • just signed up for hm yesterday.

    i leave on july 6th 07.

    cant wait guys.

any helpful advice before i go?

    any info would be apprecaited.

  • Listen to your instructors number one, and talk to your fellow corpsmen at your first command they can teach you a lot, and yolunteer yourself

  • i think the us marines and the navy are the best warriors

  • God bless all our navy corpsman

  • I am joining too, I can't decide wether to go Corpsman, SWCC Gunners Mate or SWCC Corpsman, or just regular Gunners Mate, I want to do a rate that I know when I am 70 and I look back on my life and i think about what would have helped the most people and my grand children and children can be proud of me and think it was cool if they tell there friends when they were young what i have done

  • God Bless every mother lovin Corpsmen. Semper Fi!

  • thanks, brought back memories.HM2Garcia '87-'95

  • oooorah!! corpsman!! there are 3 things a wounded marine calls for on the battlefield

    1.GOD

    2.MOM
