  • Maybe you could remake this if you want to and have upgrades like a ballast tank that fills with water and a pneumatically or linear actuator operated crane. You can even modify the pneumatic elements to be hydraulic if you like. Just put the compressor below the water.

  • haha tht not really a good idea puting electricaty in water....

  • @unmi1231 its safe. i made a lego ship once with a motor to control the propellor and water got in the boat and it still worked and no electricity was discharged into the water. it wouldnt even matter if it did, its only about 12 volts

  • @appleintosh o ok and i was also talking about it migt short the power fuctions out but cool

  • how do you ceep the water out of the hull

  • awesome

  • KIck ass ballist tanks or weights?

  • KIck ass ballist tanks

  • lol made a copy, yet lol how much yours weigh? mine ways 36.39 pounds, works fine with no additional weights but does sink forward a bit due to the with and height pretty much same as your's does but mine sinks less forward, had to make it 8 in, in hight so it wouldnt sink

  • @john55223 36 POUNDS? thats a huge f-ing lego boat.

  • @kittenswithketchup well it did take 2 yrs to build and like $2000 for the legos and shit

  • @john55223 thats friggin crazy dude haha

  • i know! to spend less time using counterweight, make the boat wider so its more stable and wont capsize, but you might need to extend the arm (im not a technic builder so tell me if i have no idea what im talking about) but still it might work

  • @legoman5188 it wouldnt effect it unless you had the cranes on a certain side, i you extend the arms then it would work as a leaver and so the weight of the object would seem more, but the widening would work, also i think he should add a motor to move the cranes from left to right...

  • sink it

  • How did you waterproof the boat?

  • cool

  • youve got some real tallent.......if youve is a word?

  • haha! (applause)

leave it to a naval architect to keep legos cool, even as you get older

did you waterproof the hull with any sort of laminate?

  • I cant trust my robots to go on water. They would go for a swim in a matter of seconds.

  • how did you get it to float? does there need to be a certian proportion of waterline length to beam?

  • @Whitechoclax there are two huge floats near the back of the ship that is probably how it floats

  • @Whitechoclax Actually if you make a lego ship the right way and have space for air and make it 99% water proof which u can with legos it stays up its self then u all a roof. he put a counter weight there

  • what did you use for the counterweight?

  • make a vid on how to make the bow

  • I dont get the bow plz reply with instructions or video of how to create bow

  • that is impressive where did u get the engine?

  • use a counter w8

  • u r the top numero uno in youtube

  • That is awsome, i wish i had the skill to make ships like that.. :D

  • was this a set were did ya get it ?

  • no it is not a set

    i make it myselfe

  • =O no way!!!!

you might be better than Caspan then!!!!!!!!

  • the ballast systems are awsome

  • Very Nice job man ;)

  • love the ballast system, how did you do that?

  • i can totally hear the D.S.R.L. commercial in the background

  • try to let him sink :P LOL

  • That is so cool

  • did the model come with the heeling tanks

  • were did you get this? how much? nice job

  • whad you use to counterbalance the crane?

  • That's briliant! :)

  • Great work. Looks like a pro is handeling that ;) I was waiting for the boat to flip, but then the ballast was moved :)

    Great job.

  • i like it :D

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeetneeeeeeeeeeeesssssssss

  • hoow do you move the cargo a button or something?

  • lol thats amazing, on my dad's boat the crane had to lift a heavy pump and the boat started to tip but it managed to get the pump onto the deck, kinda the same as urs. good job

  • ok dont take the yellow parts off jus put bout 1 pound more on the other side

  • in the boat is a counterwaght an that i move

  • very nice water cant get in?

  • you know, so that the ship doesnt tip to the left, you should add counter wait to the right side

  • i have a hevy part that i move to ballist it.

this is only a first test

  • @webmike720 there is a weight inside the ship that moves from left to right. thats what he is controlling when the crane is not moving.

  • Pretty sweet. Maybe it's an idea to make the ship autobalance when you move the crane.

  • Thats what I was thinking. If he made it level when it sat, when he put the crane out, it would lean the other way more.

  • He did he obviosly has ballast tanks to compensate for water displacement. you see the boat heeled over at (0:58) due to the weight displacement as a result of the vessel launch and then at (1:04) sitting level in the water.

What i think you are hearing when the crane is not in opperation is a pump e.g.(0:18).

  • Lol. Amazing. That something made out of legos could be so advanced.

  • so awesome :D
