How to Mod GTA IV for PC w/ iCEnhancer 1.3, Custom Cars, Texture Pack, Traffic Fix, InGame Trainer

Seriously....im getting so sick of it, everything and i mean literally everything works 100% perfecly until we come to the car pack part...now i did try 3 different car packs and all the same thing, i can run GTA 4 super fine without them in 60fps with icenanhancer 1.3 bla bla but when i install car packs it just fucks up big time...textures takes lil longer to load and after 5-10 min of playing it crashes, i thouth that the linked car pack in ur video was to large so i used a smaller one but no

I Have a Windows Vista Intel Core Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz, 4GB of RAM, and a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT. I run GTA 4 normal version on highest grahpics and it runs smoothly will i be able to run any good graphics mod like ENB or ICEnhancer?

@011naj honestly, your pc will not be able to run icenhancer smoothly. when gta iv came out, sure your pc was beastly but the icenhancer mod is from 2011 and as such u need a pc that is powerful in 2011 or 2012 standards. i mean intel core i7 and gtx 570 or 580 or radeon 79xx or 69xx

When i move the files into the GTA IV folder, and launch the game, the intro repeats it self. But when it's the original folder it doesnt get stuck there :s

Alright, I believe that I followed your instructs to the letter, but I have run into a problem. It seems that whenever I try to start the game anew it will run fine; however the opening cinematic only plays for about 30 seconds before the game crashes. And the boat that you start out on isn't loaded but everything else is their. I don't really know what to make of this, if anyone has any idea what to do then I would greatly appreciate it. Kinda stumped right now with the whole thing :|

@AllMyFriendsAreGay try restarting your pc, letting it cool (1-2 hrs), start the game, skip the cutscene, drive as fast as you can to your apartment, and save. then exit the game, replace the save files with your original ones, and it should work

Hmm, still refuses to work. I can skip the cinematic, but when I get control of the car the game will crash to the desktop and tell me that a fatal error has occurred. It says that it ran out of memory and that I need to reboot the computer, but it doesn't quite matter what I do as that message is unavoidable - it always pops up at the same time. Perhaps I should just reinstall the game and try this all again? it would suck, but if it would make the game work I'm all for it.

It's compressed, I believe. I downloaded it and it works fine, I'd recommend you download the torrent. The other one, after spending much time downloading 7GB's worth of data, failed when transferring it into the Grand Theft Auto IV directory. Apparently something was corrupted.

If someone has problems with car spawner (like loadings were unbelievble long or textures didnt load which caused crashes) download trafficloader from the same site.

2: the game must be run by LaunchGTAIV.exe or you'll get the "drunk effect".

@methodman247 seeing as you have not installed any mods, the problem is a corrupt install. try uninstalling your game, manually deleting any remaining files in the gta iv directory, and reinstalling it. also, is this the steam or cd version?

@cycool100 yes it will work on a laptop but that laptop needs to be a powerful mofo. i'm talking high range alienware here. also, u dont have to use the trainer to spawn your cars. the real traffic spawn mod automatically spawns the modded cars into normal traffic. hope this helps!

Note exactly where he is copying the files into which folder etc. I had the same thing happen to me, would click "play" at the social club screen and it would just go to desktop, wouldn't even show an error message lol.
