@FPGT24 I didnt get it to please other people though so no worry there... and no i don't have the 94 anymore, I drove it 400 miles before the motor blew. It literally siezed out of no where too, I was driving it and it appeared to have stalled out, but turns out it siezed solid. I sold it to my friend so he could take the trans out of it, and he told me he drained the oil and it was silver... so that motor was fucked beyond belief.
@FPGT24 Well like I said I sold it to my friend so he could use the transmission, and he junked it. It was just in too bad of shape to bother with putting a new motor into it. It only had 70k miles on it but it had to have been beat on every day of its life to have the motor sieze so soon. 2.2s are tough motors too, as long as you do regular oil changes, and the inevitable head gasket, they'll last forever.
I hated the fact that the dumb fuel release switch is in the Glove box... :/ I hope yours starts better in -40 than mine did :/ shes going to require some foot Im afraid if it dont....... mine was one cold blooded creature... :D
my dad owns a 93 topaz, same exact thing, but some expensive electtrical part in the disty went out so its been sitting. It was a great commuter when it ran though, just slow lol
@Z3CHYD Yeah its a GREAT city car, it drives nice and has decent pickup from lights but yeah its super slow. And on the freeway it revs so high that you're probably chugging gas like a Ford Explorer
@xScoobyDoo82x yea funny thing is, ford put a 3-speed automatic in these cars, so it always feels like it needs another gear, which I think they should've put a 4-speed auto in, weird.
@Z3CHYD Or they could have used a page out of GMs book and used some sort of TCC. My cavalier is a 3-speed but it has a TCC that locks up at around 45mph, and makes freeway driving a lot nicer, it revs at like 2500 at 75mph, whereas my Tempo probably revs at or above 3500 then.
That car is sexy.
