I just noticed the caption that cnn has on the screen at one point. Affordable health care. NO such thing, especially for someone with no employment or getting paid very little!
So funny that he essentially just derailed his entire campaign with three little words.. this is painful to watch though, who are these fucking racist redneck morons chanting "Nobama"? I don't want to live on the planet with people like that..thanks to them, those two twits came within 8% of winning the last election, can you fucking believe that? You know if it wasn't for racism/xenophobia, obama would've won 75%+ of the vote easily..
I bet you if you ask him how many states there are in America, he would know there are 50 and not 57 like Obama thinks there is. He was just thinking that if he does not win, we will all be prisoners of Obama.
sorry we dont want to be fellow prisoners, we have been there the last 8 years and now to think Dan Quayle looks like a genius compared to McCain and Palin...what in Gods name is wrong with the republican party having 2 imbeciles representing them
he said the speech he had said before my fellow prisoners meaning a speech he gave in front of his fellow prisoners back when he was shot down he did not call us prisoners.... watch it again!!!!! and again and again if you need to but get your facts strait please!!!!!!!!!
yea, but this is how many years later...we are not his fellow prisoners. maybe his mind is just drifting...we've already had 8 years of someone whose mind drifts, we don't need 4 more!!
I agree with your point, although can you tell me what his figurative speech meant? I have thought of this several times now and I still cannot think of what he could have been talking about. Finally I must point out that if you are to listen to the things being shouted in the background of McCain speeches you often hear a lot of racist and offensive comments being shouted just due to the sheer mention of Barack Obama
Having not heard the full context of the speech, I'm not sure what his figurative language refers too. However, in sound bites and clips of video such as this, I believe in always giving the benefit of the doubt. He could be making reference to us being prisoners to political strife, prisoners to democratic (the party not the philosophy) ideals. Maybe the poster of this video is right, and McCain is off his rocker.
But I find it sad and disheartening that people would jump on such a small statement. At the worst, it was a slip. But don't get me wrong...I don't like McCain nor those of his supporters that are racist and ignorant. But I don't like Obama either; nor his racist and ignorant supporters, which is why I vote third party. The republicans and democrats have had a stranglehold on our country for far too long. It's time for the American people to actually have a choice of electorates.
"Mayday, mayday!!! My super secret, Patiot Act financed-black election jet has been shot over the enemy blue states. Copy, Rove, are you there? Co-pilot, Sugar Britches...(cough)... didn't make it. Her 'chute failed to deploy so she stayed in the jet. I was found in a lake by school children who prodded and stabbed me with pencils and rulers but escaped. I am now headed to the red states, copy... red states. Over."
"I will help families keep their homes, help students pay for college, make healthcare more affordable, impose a spending freeze" . . . & oh yeah, & "I will forget that I am campaigning for president & flash back to my Vietnam prison cell!" - scary! And even scarier - Palin register's no emotion, and at the end just agrees "YEAH". Heaven help us.
lmfao, its because the socialist liberals almost have a complete stranglehold on our country and are choking the life our of us. obama and biden gaffe outnumber mccain 10 to 1. dont fool yourself.
I -wish- we were controlled by "socialist liberals" instead of the right-wing nutcake religious freaks that DO control our government (for the next three weeks). Maybe that way, we'd still have an economy, like Sweden, Denmark and Canada do (ALL liberal socialist countries).
That's not just a gaffe - that's a revelation on his psyche, how close in times of stress that is to his conscious. Sad and scary. As I said elsewhere I admire McCain and the sacrifices he's made for his country, but he's not the McCain he once was and his time has passed.
He's talking out his ass to get elected making promises he can't keep, sounding like a hypocrite and his "my fellow prisoners" comment, sounding like a flashback to his torture days, shows he doesn't have the temperament to be president.
McCain's mind is going. He meant to say "citizens," but said "prisoners" instead. This mistake, a bizarre word substitution, is exactly consistent with incipient Alzheimer's disease - the same disease that afflicted Reagan. The good news is: it gets worse very slowly. The bad news is: it never stops getting worse.
yea, that's what I thought or maybe Americans, just found it odd that he said prisoners...he's been dying to talk about the POW thing again. It must have been his subconscious talking.
sarah palin was his biggest weakness

What ever happened to the great economy that McCain kept saying we had ? Only a true fool would say the voters are whining over nothing
when everyone could see the economy was failing.
