How to convert DVDs to AVI format easily

I had used DVD Decrpypter just to rip DVDs to VOB.

I don't think it can convert them to an avi.

I have followed your video several times.

If it takes AK Gordion Knot three hours to to it

How can this do it in 15 minutes ?

The video is incorrect - great instructions, tho - converts DVD to a single VOB file. Funny the uploader has not commented regarding this.

You need another program called AutoGK to change the VOB file into an avi.

It does seem like this isnt complete, i've found another vid on the right which seems to finish the job, (trying it out now) it's called; 'CONVERT DVD TO AVI (DIVX/XVID) WITH DVD DECRYPTER & VIDOMI'

This doesnt make sense. If you picked ifo why would it come out to a avi format if you chose ifo? Am I wrong or did you not finish your video correctly

I have red disc where reads TDK DVD+RW 1-4x 4/GB DATA/VIDEO RW DVD+ReWriteable. I recorded my Playstation 3 gameplay montage and i need help with converting them to avi or something that i could edit them with Windows Movie Maker. I followed closely the instructions but it didn't work, I got just something VOB-file that i cannot open and the original IFO-file and then i got the Stream Information thing.

im using dvd-rw and when i record and after i put dvd in computer it says dvd is empty and i finalized the one disk even though its rw and it worked so i dont know why it wont show up? Some help please

hey, i tried it by finding another video, and it stayed as ifo file, then i noticed on your one, it didnt have the ifo file selected in the settings under ifo mode. is there any specfic setting to make sure it comes out as avi, becaise mine came out as vob, and on windows movie maker it was just silent and black.

I know that nobody is going to respond to this comment to help me, but it's worht a try anyways...for some reason, every time I try to convert a DVD with chapters, and I select all chapters, it does a random jumble of 20 seconds of footage along with scrambled sound, and when I select just one chapter, it only does the first twenty seconds or so. Why is this?
