its a just called a stacked vocal. it's in the background tracks faintly for a more full sound when the whole group is singing. just about every group does it. so its actually still wes singing it

this video is a reunion of past gvb quartets. mark is on his own now. he has done alot of shows since. he still makes apperances with gvb productions.

actually medicbb83, mark isnt on his own anymore. Guy Penrod & Marshall Hall left the gaither vocal band and Michael English, David Phelps, and Mark came back so now there's five members (including wes hampton and bill gaither) he is currently doing solo concerts AND GVB concerts cause he had prior commitments before he joined but he's back now :)
