  • can anyone put on this play? do you need rights? i want to put one on but am scared to be put off by disney...

  • The way he says "What's this?" is so irritating... it's the same every time ;/ and you really canb't hit the notes at 1:08 ... so awful.. I cringed at all of it. Can't breathe at 1:31... it goes on...

  • He sounds just like Danny Elfman.

  • you are pretty! Good the acting is pretty well done but i recommend that you should have worked on the set alittle more

  • Amazing! Altough it's impossible to sound like Elfman, your singing had the same feeling than in the original song, and before live audience no less. It would have been wonderful to be watching that play.

  • Great acting but th set... so bad

  • What is this???

  • how I met yoour mother and nmbfc ?! Best thing ever!

  • HOLY CRAP, THAT AIN'T JACK, THATS SLENDERMAN LOOKING FOR HIS 20 DOLLARS!

  • Really blew the budget on the scenery... lol jk, great acting

  • O.O HE IS "MARSHALL" FROM "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Wow, the movie is MUCH better. No offense.[:

  • weak acting

  • Costume is bad but besides that good

  • the voice doesnt sound right

  • Wow, his singing is great. A bigger stage would have made this so much better.

  • no... just no.

  • if i had the know-how i would love to produce a live show of TNBC, but all credit to them, this was a damn good effort!

  • very good job just wish it was a lil louder. still made me sing along though

  • I love TNBC, but this was... just bad.

  • this is awesome dood, the only thing i don't like is the lack of movement (like at the end hoped you would have "ran" into the tree with the christmas town sign and when the "dreamland" part came up i thought you would have made the same movements jack did as well) but aside from my nitpicks XD your voice was very good, it was all very well done as well great job dood^,..,^ (i just wish i could do something like this tho but i hate my voice XD)

  • Ruined

  • Bravo! Very nice. I plan to be a drama teacher :-D I should NBC :-DD

  • I think its fantastic. My only comment is jacks movement is more spiderlike and eccentric as opposed to just walking around. Which may have just been choreography fault

  • he is very good and i don't know what u guys are saying HE IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SINGER OF Nightmare before Christmas and he can't look like the cartoon, It is not possible.

  • He is not that good his makeup isn't good an he's too short

  • Its ok, could be better though.

  • Favorite this years ago but still love it

  • @sailorfan11 Thanks! :)

  • not lanky and tall enough. lolXD

  • "That's my blanket...it is" Ahh that was funny xD

But this guy did an amazing job, the emotion was there, his voice was great.

  • This guy is such a good Jack, but everytime I see the bald cap, I crack up laughing

  • @IHugShortPeople pshh bald cap!? That's allll naturalll baby! haha thanks though!

  • BWHAHAHAHA!

  • Can you upload the performance of This Is Halloween? Or do you not have it?

  • you make a great jack!

  • So is this musical available for schools to do?

  • great job, this is a really tough song to do. Keep it up, good work.

  • I do like this cover of it, such a hard song to do. Well done :)

  • impressive. really. we're doing this at my drama group, and i'm the one who adapted the script, am teaching everyone the songs, choreographing it, codirecting it, and playing jack. yeah...it's a small group. anyway, we've been having trouble giving people stuff to do on stage during this song, and this has given me a few ideas.

listen to me go on. this is seriously well done. wish i could have been there to see the whole thing.

  • I'm so excited I get to be shock in my school play. And I went against 10 other girls :D

  • A pity about the quality of the sound, for this was a wonderful performance!! Great job!

  • "thats my blanket, it is"-lol

  • his really badass at singing

  • Oh yeah, i forgot one mroe thing: It was very very good, even though it's a very hard song to sing!

  • Very, very, very good! I wish we could do nightmare before christmas! He's a very talented singer :D

just one thing, he could practice on the Jack-ish moans and sighs. Oh well, its still good :D

  • o.o

am i the only one thats kinda creeped out that he's watching these girls with out them knowing it?

  • wtf O-o

  • lol who dosent love this movie. only two people , losers and oggie

  • You sang with amazing charisma!!! I'd like to hear your voice on good recording equipment. :D

  • Great job.

  • i love this!!!

  • a little stubby haha

  • oh i like this!^^ Your a great singer!^.^ I loved the vid^^

  • singings not bad ive always wanted to see a live nightmare before christmas, my biggest problem was the makeup/costume i understand sometimes youre working with limited resources and can't always get the exact look youre goin for but it doesnt seem like they tried. the acting was good tho!

  • was this a school play?

  • Dude you sound just like the original!!! You're amazing!!! Keep up the great work!!! You rock!!!

  • holy god! you sound almost EXACTLY like the guy who sings it in the movie! i thought it was until it said it was the first time you sang it! wow!!

  • I agree. I don't think he did that badly.

  • this is really great, the courage for you to get up there and use your might and expressions on live audience is tense, and you made it. Im proud of you. I certainly cannot do stage performances. Ya, you may need to work on some improvement, but i really dont care because this performance you did was impressive, good job!

  • he can't sings like Danny Elfman XD

  • I don't mind you don't look like Jack at all. You sung it pretty well.

  • Nice voice :D!!!

  • lol this was kool but lol the bald cap looked kind of like a condom O_O

  • Sorry but he can't sing and that's a cheesy costume.

  • jack the registrated sex offender king

  • YES!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!

  • i enjoyed it! i can see why it would be hard to sing with a mask. good job!

  • He only had a bald wig on, I don't think he sung very well.

  • wow he sounds like jack!

  • you got the voice of the pumpkin king, I'll give you that

  • Awesome! I wish you had done it at my school.

Good singing too, considering that there is like, NO place to even breath in that song.

  • i tried to get my school to do this as a play when i was at school! they shot me down HARD!...but kudos to you :)

  • u are good...but i think that nightmare before christmas can't be traspose in theatre sry 4 english

  • Tsk Tsk an actor using a microphone! Well it was good for your first time and this was posted three years ago i assume you've gotten much better. You should post a vid of you trying it again!

  • Some of these comments are really mean. He's not a horrible singer at all! I think he sings this well, especially considering it's a tough song. He acts it well too. It's obviously not going to look exactly like the cartoon (no human being is as spindly as Jack!), and if this was just an intro to Rocky Horror you can't expect a masterpiece of a set. They did a commendable job! I'd like to see all the haters try to do this themselves...

  • Well thank you. :)

  • i aggre what's this is very diffacult 2 sing and act and if u comepare it with the real song it's very good ( because the nightmare before christmas is my favorite tim burton movie )

  • Amazing!

  • Meh was ok.

  • He looks like beetle juice lol

  • How would it be possible to sing then?

  • @Shad0wStalk3r if there was a special mic inside it?? or some way for the voice to get out?

  • @VICTORIAvampireMETAL Well, answer his question smart ass. Duh it isn't going to look like the real Jack, Jack isn't a real thing, he's clay!

  • i agree!

  • the guy was running out of breathe

  • I've always thought this would be good for translation to Broadway. A longleggedy, spindly star who's also a song-and-dance man would do well, like Hugh Jackman before he got ripped, or someone in the mold of Tommy Tune. Ken Page, of course, has been on Broadway (The Wiz) and could come back...

  • A broadway production would be absolutely fantastic and wonderful.

  • Comment removed

  • Also pitching on on this, I've been thinking about that for the last while. It would make for a VERY impressive show if the costumes and sets were done right. Ah well... we can hope.

  • It would almost have to be done by Tim Burton himself, wouldn't it?

  • Possibly. I know that this is a petty thing to relate to, but the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland when decked out Nightmare Before Christmas style is quite impressive. The environment is dark but everything it bright reflective/neon colors. Quite unique really, I think it would look amazing live if it were done like that.

  • How the hell would they do Oogie Boogie?

  • I would like to know how the hell they bought the rights to DO this.

  • as long as they didn't do it for money it should be ok

  • Okay, I can see that being okay. You have a point.

  • @noahsdad61 Or perhaps a puppet actor combo

  • Looks like the old guy from the six flags adverts

  • come on

its hard to re act a animation like the nightmare before christmas live

they did okay for being live

    give them a break

  • I WANT THAT PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL!!!

  • damn. nightmare before christmas is a musical that is impossible to be performed well live. The cartooniness of the characters is what gives it such a weird mood to it.

  • ....omg... horrible...

  • no no no no no no no hes not going to fast ehough and hes way of pitch, and take beaths when he shouldnt be... OUCH NOOOOO

  • he looks more like beatle juice

  • Why is it these are all crappy video's? Wasn't there one professional video man at this performance? I have been through like 100 video's just trying to get Ken Page singing as Oogy boogy in good quality.

  • FAT ELF IN THE BEGINING!!!!!!!!!!

  • o.O

i though that jack's head was more....

    Spherical

    and other thing

THAT'S THE MOST HORRIBLE CHRISTMAS TREE THAT I HAVER EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!

but you made a good performance

    good for u

    :D

  • i thought he was an alien the first time i heard of him! i was so stupid back then! lol!

  • your welcome! and u did a pretty good job! especially for your first time!!! =]

  • actually i love it!! i always wanted to see it on stage! =]

  • Thanks! It was my first time singing in front of people so I have some stuff to work on. But I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D

  • Did you do the whole performance or just that scene. Personally thought the singing was great. Good job. My school is looking to do the performance of Nightmare before Christmas, but we can't find where to get the legal rights. Can you tell me how you did it?

  • Thanks! Ya it was only that scene. Every year we do a pre-show to the rocky horror picture show and pick a theme. Since it was only that quick song we didnt bother getting the rights or anything.

  • You did great for your first time.

  • its ok

  • Thanks.

  • lmao, he does look like uncle fester, no offence bt tht wasnt the best

  • I GOT A KNIFE!!!!!

  • a fake jack how dare he does that his heads to big and he has hair

  • I think it would be extremely difficult for any normal person to look like Jack or a skeleton. Love the bowtie :) and the performance! Keep up the good work! Would have loved to see it live.

  • Thanks! :)

  • No Im not kidding KILL ME NOW!!!!!

  • Shelby why don't you stop watching it every two weeks if it's driving you to suicide?

  • the choreography is bad and also the costumes...but I think he sings well...

  • OH GOD KILL ME NOW!!!!

  • jack looks creepy but good job acting

  • he looks more like uncle fester than jack :p

  • i think that this would have been better if you haad some better choreography

  • This was just too weird for me to see all the way. The actor makes Jack look more like a zombie than a skeleton.

  • What the hell?

  • ....terrible singer....IT BURNNSS!!

  • fall out boys whats this was wayyyyyy better than this...

  • I stopped it. I'd LOVE to go to a pantomine for NBC, but it would be a HUGE disappointment if the singers didn't take their breaths at the right times :/

  • ya that's definatley what I struggled with most. I even asked for help on figuring out when to do it, but the heat of the spot light and running around makes you shortbreathed so easily.

  • like the costume.

    horrible singer

  • Lolol.

  • This guy sucks. He's not a terrible singer (not that great, either), but he's too fat to play Jack and he doesn't know how to pantomime him.

  • True the pantomime job could of been better. But I do dread the day I see someone skinny enough to play Jack ;p

  • Oh there are actors that skinny. If you haven't yet, check out the Zombie School special feature on the Haunted Mansion DVD. lol

  • I will make that my top priority tomorrow. I will search for this man that is as thin as a stick. haha

  • That blanket stole the show, man. You must be a proud parent.

  • haha, I think they thought it was a skirt being lifted up.

  • GREAT JOB!!!great costume too.i have the same one.but why didnt u get the mask?its not that expensive.oh wait,is it because u wouldnt be able to sing with it on?

  • Yes that was it unfortunately

  • WAY. TOO. FAGGOTY. AND. UGLY.

  • I had no idea the actual Jack Skellington from the movie was attractive...weirdo.

  • Jack Skellington from the movie WAS attractive...lol.

  • BWAHAHAHHAHA!!! I know, right? Who would think that a skeleton could be so lovable and cute? XD lol!

  • Way better than Fall Out Boy's rendition.

  • no one has the south park stuff from last year do they?

  • Petitpas is the best Jack EVER.
