Yep, the liver is on the right side of the body, so to hit it you would need to kick with the left foot. The kick shown would hit the stomach or spleen area, but not the liver. I think the jaw part was just the set up for the kick to get the hands up or expose the rib area.

Maybe some tournouas have roules... but Pankration as a Martial Art has no rules at all it learns you how to smash your enemy and cut him into pieces there are moves to squeez his eyes out as well...
