  • just look at her face on john barrymore's hygiene question, LMFAO!

  • can u post the whole documentry if you please?

  • I dont think bette davis was a better actres than Joan was,Joan didnt get as many chances to be as versatile as bette davis or Katharine Hepburn did.

  • Man, that interviewer was asking some harsh questions. Joan tried to be as tackful as possible.

  • I have no idea if the stories of her are true but she was a fascinating woman - She is absolutely riveting.

  • If only Crawford had been alive to address her daughter's allegations. I am totally in the middle, I just can't decide whether I believe they were true or not.

  • Wow John sounds like an assehole. Wonder what Drew thinks of it?

  • @EffLabels try reading some you might understand the man.

you think 2 minutes of comments makes the man?

    you stupid clown azz

  • @JadeTomZ Try reading my comment properly, "clown". I said SOUNDS like an assehole, not IS an assehole. There is a difference. I am commenting on HER experience with him, not the man himself

  • She really was a beautiful young women - it's hard to believe she was the person described by her daughter, adopted.

  • Who could upstage the great Crawford at this point? With those enormous eyes, that sleek figure and her marvelous acting? She's great in this film and didn't take a backseat to any of her illustrious costars.

  • what upstaging? they're flirting & putting up fronts before each other's character, while hiding their private troubles behind doors. joan had great chemistry with lionel tho.

  • oh the little stenographer... god i love her!!!

  • It's hard to describe the unique talents of John Barrymore. His portrayal of the Baron in Grand Hotel is so utterly beautiful. He's not upstaging Joan in this scene, he's just responding to her. He's giving an understated, intelligent, amusing, myriad sided performance. I can't think of any actor today who could come close.

  • Kudos to Joan. She was luminous on the screen, and with all due respect to Bette Davis (who I also adore), I think she was a great actress. She got a little mannered later on in her career, but in the Thirties, she ruled!

  • Two titans, though obviously back during "Grand Hotel" Barrymore was the bigger star.

Crawford was so great. While Davis was arguably the better actress, Crawford was more energetic.

Thanks for posting this and all the other great videos.

  • It was true that JB didn't like to bathe very often. He also didn't like doing love scenes where he had to kiss a woman....apart from Dolores in The Sea Beast of course!

  • you cant upstage Joan Crawford.

she is just divine. i love her voice
