I know I am a week late (sorry). This type of thing is absolutely unconstitutional because it is not an "extra charge" plate. Should taxpayers have to pay for "Praise be to Allah" plates? How about "Baruch Hashem" (Jewish praise)? what about "Atithi Devo Bhava" (Hindu praise)? Etc... What is fair to everyone without leaving anyone out? It's better to not admit any religions than to not include 99% of them. For an extra fee, they could have the plates, though!

Concerning Abe Lincoln. He certainly was not your typical nutroot bible thumping evangelist Southern Christian type yelling brimstone and fire - But he certainly admired the Bible a great deal. Infact many Athiest friends that I came accross have admitted that Lincoln was a closet Christian. Very simple, lincoln never admired any Athiest view...his biggest inspiration was the Bible. More of a non-conformist Christian if you ask me ! He wa not a member of any church, but he still prayed to God !

There are a lot of great ideas in the bible... heck, there are in most religious holy texts. If there weren't, then people wouldn't look towards them for guidance.
However, good advice does not make them holy or divine. Enjoying their advice also does not make automatically mean that you wholly subscribe to that religion either.

NO ONE is compelling you to subscribe to any religion. I don't care nor give a rat's ass as to what religion or ideology you believe in. BUT, with all due respect, you CAN'T and SHOULD NOT stop a goverment from catering to the MAJORITY. It's really that simple. America is clear majority Christian - hence Christians come first, Athiests much later !Let's say for argument sake, that tomm. a tyrannical govt. forces the majority of English speakers to learn Spanish in USA - would that be fair ? Huh!

Also, just because a few Chinese students who come to America love Chinese food ( rats snakes,frogs, snails, worms, etc mixed with soy sauce & vegetables) - using your warped logic about how "catering to the majority is a problem" - SHOULD the MAJORITY NON CHINESE AMERICANS ( whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Jews, Other Asiatics, Amerinds etc) be COMPELLED to eat Chinese food ????? Would that be fair ??? Is that what you Athiest nutroots want, eventually ??? Can't you juz drop the PC crap and get it?
