Great album great band, Love the influences in this band, plus they bring their own sound, sounds like Smashing pumpkins in their shoegaze era, and My bloody valentine.

I saw this band live as they were a guest band for placebo. Silversun pickups are a great band with great music, however live, they are painful to the ears. The guitar or whatever wasn't set up right and it just sounded awful and overdominating. I love this song though.

I've seen them twice, and I understand what you mean by the guitar overdominating, because they are an extremely loud live band believe it or not. I think it probably depends on where you see them and where in the crowd you're situated -- also they're able to pull off some songs (Lazy Eye) a lot better than certain others.

To be honest, they just sound like Silversun Pickups to me. A LOT of people compare them to Smashing Pumpkins, but D'Arcy Wretzky herself has said in an interview that Silversun Pickups don't remind her of her former band at all.

@TheAmazingAnarchist1 I totally agree, people allways tend to compare art and music to other bands or artists/styles, and sometimes their pushing it hard. The sound of the guitar are sometimes similar to Smashing Pumpkings because of their ´´Indie nature´´ thats all, but Silversun Pickups have different drums(not better) and a lot more of good bass lines that make them be theirselves, and sounds great. littlebirdy
