@purplewolfpimp I have this board and I was wondering how it worked as well. Though the idea is innovative, it's hardly as exciting as the video makes it sound. The hybrid crossfire only works with a handful of low-end graphics cards (which are listed on the AMD website). It would only be acceptable for watching movies and light gaming with the graphics turned all the way down.

I ended up buying a 4830, which doesn't utilize the hybrid crossfire.

This board is solid, but if you have a digital monitor w/o an HDMI port, you'll need to install a DVI capable video card to get a true digital feed. The GA-MA78GM-S2H has all three ports. Also, the Gigabyte board is a micro-ATX form factor, so you'll have more case options. I also like the BIOS in the Gigabyte board better. That being said, the ECS board has an attractive price. GL

This is a bad ass mobo. I just picked it up. Its not Asus but comes in 2nd to it. workin with an 8800 ultra it screams went with the 5000+ am2 black and it rules. the expandability is going to be nice with 8gb memory per socket available. Although samsung has not released their product at the moment. It should be up to 2 years before the 8gb sticks come out heck we dont even have 4gb. but the fsb speed is MASSIVE on this mobo and overclockin a 5000+ to 3.2ghz each core is nothin. from 2.5

Runs very good. I installed many games and none of them is lagging ( apart from Crysis ^^) im Playing on 1280x1024 FSAA 8x AF 16x all High, Sega Rally and CMR Dirt have around 50 FpS.

Just awesome. So if u want a cheap Motherboard with 780GChipset buy!

I get concerned because they are always the cheapest. I did build a Duo Core with a ECS and I've been using it for over a year everyday pretty heavily for multi track audio production and video work and I've never had the slightest problem with it.

HD2400 (like 2400 PRO), HD3450, and HD3470. Not even a match for an X1950, but a great way to get great generic performance (like video stuff) out of almost nothing.

Hybrid crossfire isn't really intended for modern gaming. RAM is cheap though, so you can pile in 2x2GB+2x512MB and do 2GB crossfire with a 1GB capable 3450.

I own a 780G Mobo from Gigabyte. And that thing is smoking. The intergrated Graphics is just wonderful, My mobo has 1 pci-e x26 2.0 slot. When i paired it with a 9600GT it went alot faster with the HD 3200 and 9600GT in sync!
