I brush and floss my teeth every morning and every evening. I use a regular soft brush in the evening to remove all food and build up from the days eating and in the morning, use my electric toothbrush to remove build up that forms overnight by bacteria and anything left over from my breakfast. I also use mouthwash that contains no alcohol as this can irritate the gums. When brushing, be sure to not apply too much pressure and do not use a raking motion. Brush gently and go up and down =)
Thanks so much for posting this. I've been neglecting my teeth for years, and I was certain they were all gonna fall out. I haven't been to the dentist in 5 years, cause I was certain they would tell me it was too late. I finally broke down and got a cleaning yesterday, and it was the best thing I ever did. It turns out, I have a few cavites and a mild form of gingivitis, that is totally reversable. It's never too late to start taking care of your teeeth!!! I know I will be from now on.
God damn, this has seriously scared me. As a kid, I barely ever brushed my teeth. I deeply regret it now, and i'm 15. I have symptoms of Pereodontitis. I've been starting to brush my teeth more now, and slowly but surely cutting down the amount of sugar I eat.
@josewegsonty1998 Braces make it more difficult to clean, but they don't ruin gums. If you have braces you need to be more careful, taking longer to brush. Interdental brushes are useful to get around wires.
im 30 and I take care of all of my teeth, and I have all of them with only 3 cavities my whole life, they were when I was younger and videos like this made me take care of my teeth
I've had something similar like this, but not THIS far. The flesh around my teeth started to swell up and became red. It felt really thick and pretty soft. I started using tooth sticks and now it's as good as gone :D
sadly i didn't get the memo, i layed off for like ever, because me teeth were always healthy, then the bad habit of laziness turnedon. Now some of my gums are turning red. But im fightin
I have gum disease and i'm afraid to lose my teeth I have no insurance and no job so i'm kind of stuck. I'm in constant pain and not able to eat much.
@ ice8318: Diet is your biggest friend. Lay off sugars and coffee and such. In general, our diets are meant to be 70% alkaline and 30% acidic - most Westeners [myself included] don't follow this too well. It's why we have these problems in the first place.. .
Anyways, a healthy diet, my friend and you'll be all right. = )
This news is quiet alarming when most individuals do not realize they have this problem. Worse this problem is linked to internal problems in your body as well.
Nice video. I had beginning stages of gum disease, but I started flossing every day and I reversed a pocket and my gums aren't swollen. My dentist was thrilled.
does not brushing teeth cause tooth loss? or my teeth grinding? please answer!

I think you are talking about loss of enamel or root surface, rather than loss of teeth.

Gee. I thought if you were British, you were born with bad teeth and diseased gums.

The sad part is this is easily preventable with regular brushing, flossing and using mouthwash.
Good lord people take care of your teeth, it only takes 5 minutes after a meal!
