  • I must've been high during the 9/11 attacks... I don't remember asking anyone to go out and torture for me...

I find it so funny, that some are playing off waterboarding like, 'Oh, it's not that bad... Bugs in a box, who cares?'

However if a Marine was overseas and having all this stuff done to him or her... We would be screaming for blood, and their saving.

This whole thing is fuckin' crazy, and I'm embarassed at some of it.

  • Your comment is particularly relevant to me, because my father is a Marine who was in Iraq, and two of my cousins were US Army soldiers who spent a year each there too. I wouldn't want this happening to them.

You're right, the hypocrisy is embarrassing.

This is not something we should be debating; torture is wrong, and I don't remember asking any CIA agents to go around rounding up people and torturing them, either.

  • My husband is currently serving overseas, and I RESENT the fact you are comparing our troops to known terrorists. Our soldiers are fighting to free and save lives, while those we've waterboarded live to do the opposite. NO COMPARISON. Besides, you do know what Islamic terrorists have done to our soldiers they capture, right? This argument is ridiculous.

  • Who said your husband was a terrorist?

What I said was there's a double standard. So it's 'not a big deal' when WE tourture, but if a marine was BEING tortured, with the same methods we down play as nothing more than a little water in the nose, we would be saying it's against the Geneva Conventions, something the last administration CHOOSE to ignore and wipe themselves with.

I'm FOR your husband and all troops, which is why I defend their honor over here, because our country DIDN'T.

  • Just by making the comparision between a Marine being tortured and a terrorist being tortured bothers me beyond belief. None of the 3 guys we've waterboarded are good, upstanding men. They have no honor, not a ounce of humanity. Their goal is to kill as many innocences as possible, while our soldiers go through painful measures not to harm innocences. So pardon me if I don't shed a tear for them. You do know that Al Qaeda doesn't fall under the Geneva Convention, right? They are not a state!

  • So torturing terrorist fine, torturing troops, not fine? Got it. If they are waiving a flag, have a 'god' on their side, then it's okay to torture.

I'm sorry you're so blinded by all the tea bag parties and GOP agendas, but what I preach is common sense and humanity. It's wrong to torture, just as it is to kill innoncents. So what you're saying is, is that's it okay to bomb Baghdad, take photos of us standing on top of POWs, and torture men who have had no trial?

    Truly moral of you.

  • I am not blinded by anything! Way to keep personal insults out of your argument. This is my last response to you, since any attempt for an adult conversation seems unlikely. I have felt the results of this war more than most Americans and pray for peace everyday. I live in the real world though, and know that there's a price to pay for it.

  • No one questions you or your husband have paid a price for this war. In fact, it can be shown through my responce, it's easy to generalize a few bad apples into the whole barrel.

However, the simple fact that you can't see torture is wrong, no matter who is doing it to whom, is disapointing to say the least. I pray for your husband's save return from this war which was started on lies and misinformation, and ended up tarnishing the good name of soliders who fight for freedom, not oil.

  • Scarsy is a loon

the bush mantra of the end always justifies the means even if it means selling out the principals this country was founded on

god i'm glad those wingnuts are gone

  • unfortunately, some of those wingnuts might still be hanging around DC, and new ones are being bred.

We need to get out of this position as one of the most socially backward industrialized countries. these aren't biblical times when we should take an eye for eye (at least not physically); the due process of law is what sets us apart, and these right-wing assholes are holding progress back.

  • God lord what a nut

  • ummm, we got maybe 1% of true info from torture and 99% goosechases... Torture ISN'T effective. All people getting tortured will say is what they think YOU want them to say.

  • scaroborough is a drunk,

  • Joe, Joe, Joe.......... please don't breed. You're clearly from the shallow end of the gene pool and your DNA does not need to be perpetuated any further.

  • USA has become a charade. Sad.

  • the torture ers are the reasons attacks come

  • oh, Scarborough has this all figured out, doesn't he.

  • torture is a war-crime!!! no mather if sick comentators are hired to justify this on tv!!

lesson from history... first it was the "terrorists"... than it was allways all ppl!! once you crossed that line, everyone else is also not safe from beeing tortured!!

  • wow @ them trying to justify torture

If we're goint to be a nation of laws and rules those rules and laws should be followed and torture is illegal..end of story

  • We're just repeating the same points over and over again...

Does ANYONE have ANY *concrete* information about a future plan being foiled by these techniques?

  • He's part of the machine that needs to keep you all fearful. Fear is an integral part of your culture.

  • I'm more worried about getting in a car accident than terrorists. this whole phenomenon is stupid.

  • People people. calm down. terrorists cant read. its all good.

  • "According to the May 30, 2005 Bradbury memo, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was waterboarded 183 times in March 2003 and Abu Zubaydah was waterboarded 83 times in August 2002."

  • i don't know how that woman puts up with that extreme human being day in and day out

  • he's right, we were willing to torture when we felt in danger.

  • i don't know about this "we talk"...last i remember when the subject first came up Bush said "We don't torture" and he kept lying until he couldn't any more. i didn't vote for Bush and his neo-cons who trampled on the constitution under legal cover for a legal department they appointed. that was corrupt. and based on historical facts about water boarding, i would have been against it no matter what. this is a disgrace and any attempts to soften it are disgraceful.

  • I am sick and tired of all the fear-mongering coming from tools like Scarborough.

To be honest, I would rather die standing up for my principles than to renounce all that I hold dear, just to cower in fear for the rest of my days.

  • i agree, but you know what Scarborough is a right winger and whatever a right winger says the opposite is true. notice how in the second clip he specifically said water boarding works based on the last seven years and the very next sentence he says let's find out what info we got from them and then we can debate it if it works. last i checked what information we got that stopped something imminent is classified so it may or may not exist. we just know people were tortured in our name. shameful.

  • Joe, you ass.

The agents that engaged in torture were not doing their job. They did NOT make us safer.

What they dd was to give people around the world a reason to fear and hate America.

What WOULD make us safer is to demonstrate to the rest of the world that we will not tolerate torture.

When we can show that we will stand on principle, we will take away a HUGE recruiting tool for extremist groups.

  • agreed 100% with you. I have an issue with no prosecuting torture, the president's policy he has taken. but at the same time i understand that in this political climate chasing after something like that can zap political capital with the right wing noise machine talking about it 24/7. over the long haul, the campaign promises and the domestic policy goals are what is most important. it's call prioritizing and Bush couldn't walk and chew bubble gum.

  • and how do we know we meant it was him not the Bin Laden guy we said did it?...because he confessed!...under torture!...HOW COULD YOU DOUBT THE EVIDENCE!!!....LOLOLOLOL!!!...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!......stupid...stupid..people.

  • the saddest thing about it is that we have held these people for years in limbo with evidence we can't show in court because it's top secret and that they can't see and since you don't know what they got on you...you can't dispute. the bill of right applies to everyone. we have zero prosecutions on these people. and the ones Bush released went into the arms of terrorism because now they were convinced america is evil.

  • hahaha u r really funny america didn't declare the war on osama bnladen 1st he first declared the war on america after the terrorism attack on the american embassy in nurobi, if u want the truth about these guys there is a christian middle east preaching show called daring question search in youtube for this episode "Jihad: Between Doctrine and Reality" u'll find it into parts. watch it 1st and reply. the presenter of the show is called rashid and he's an ex muslim.

  • UHH, excuse me, read my comment a second time. I didn't say anything relevant to what you are talking about.

  • No I'm commenting on "now they were convinced america is evil" they r convinced along long time ago, I was telling you to watch this show as they explain how terrorists think, for example one day muslims invaded spain, and called it "el andolos" now they think that they should took it back no matter what, Iraqi government was dealing with us so they r all treaters and should be killed, what did america did to them in the 1st place?! they killed nearly 3000 in 9/11 why?!! who's evil here..

  • "the bill of right applies to everyone" but not the terrorists :) lets c what happened before 9/11 one of the terrorists pilots who was supposed to fly the fifth plane (I can't remember his name) was arrested as he was training in a flying agency and he showed no interest for taking off and landing!!! they used the polite ways with him "bill of rights" and they couldn't get any other information from him about the other terrorist !!! when they capture u they will be v. nice with u I guarantee !!

  • for 8 months the mantra was 'bin laden bin laden bin laden!!!!'....hmm...cant find this bin laden guy...find this khaleid sheik guy tho....hmmm....we mean it was shiek sheik sheik!!...and we got him!!!...mission accomplished!!!....LOLOL...pathetic sheep..wake up!!!..fuck you scarborough you shill.

  • It comes as no surprise that Republicans like Joe are always willing to use God, to alledge their moral superiority, when they are the ones who condone and support the torture of other human beings. They behave just like those that we are fighting against, and appear to be completely oblivious to the teachings of the Christ they claim to represent. Hypocrits, liars and cowards all, they will cling to any rationalization that continues their egocentric, selfagrandizing power trip. Shame on Joe.

  • Joe is an ignorant piece of trailer trash from north Florida. The bottom line is torture is illegal under the laws of the United States of America. Torture is illegal under a number of international treaties that the US help draft and signed. The US has prosecuted many foreign soldiers for these same torture methods. You can give it a nice sanitary name like "enhanced interrogation" but it is torture plain and simple. You can prop it up with 911 bs but it still violates US and international law.

  • what a shithead

  • Whether he is right about the future remains to be seen, be he was 100% right about the past. After 9/11 everyone in America screamed and cred to "get those people no matter how." " And to not let this happen again." Well that's what happened, and now that we are safe, it's again time to act PC and go. "oh we wanted justice but we never wanted that." Certain things have to be done in order to keep us safe. Some of which, you may just be better off not knowing about at all.

  • 'those people'? almightykenshin..who are 'those people'?..guess what...'those people' that did it died on 911 too..idiot...funny how this khalied sheik suddenly became the 'ring leader'...after bin laden couldnt be found.....how convenient!.LOL..its a pathetic obvious joke..torture to get a scapegoat to keep people happy!..this loon confessed TO EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED INCLUDING HURRICANE KATRINA!...theres nothing better of knowing about, or suckers like you take over!

  • Why do you people always resort to insults if a person won't conform to your way of thinking? Everybody is telling me how I should feel about everything, and why I chose not to, I have to be called every insult you have at your disposal.

  • The question of getting hit or not hit depends on your stupid actions. If u are an arrogant asshole who have no regards for other beings, than your ass will get hit sooner or latter!

    Were u not safe before 9/11? Coz The notion that Bush torture somehow kept u safe for the last 8years is a naïve and retarded one;

nd keep in mind that when those leftover Iraqi/afghan kids (orphans) grow up and realize what happened to their parents, brothers/sisters/family, than tell me how safe u are dumbass!

  • Yeah. Fuck the constitution and the law. Joe says torture works. So screw all of ya.

Screwing the constitution because you think the ends justifies the means is fascist. Next stop: Nazi Germany, 1940.

He who would give up even a measure of his Liberty for a measure of perceived security is worthy of neither and will lose both.

    -Thomas Jefferson

  • Thank all of you for being upset about this. This video is soul-crushing, but it helps to know I'm not the only one shaking with rage right now.

  • right on.

  • History has shown nuclear bombs are effective should we drop a couple of those on Joe's dumb ass

  • Listening to Scarborough is torture in itself

  • ye man I want to waterboard his ass

  • water boarding is very effective... In 1675 it was used to confess witches with 100% success even when used on devote Xtians.

  • "Safety"...... Principle........ hmmmmm..... not a tough choice at all... I'll take principle..

  • Terrorists hate America because of conservative scumbag pricks like Joe Scarblower!

  • Middle Ages prove that torture isn't effective.

  • QQ QQ we put water in ther face QQ QQ they only cut our heads off and give your wife and kids a nice vid of them doing it.

  • Exactly WHAT information from Kalid did they get that saved America?

  • american pundit news stations suck

  • In judging a person always ask the question if that person would make a good dictator or not, if the answer is yes: he's a fucking fascist shithead and deserves no respect. And guess what, Scarborough would make hell of a dictator

  • just lost my respect for him

  • Scarborough is dumb piece of shit.

  • Waterboarding could've prevented 9/11, but 3000 lives are not worth saving if we have to pour water over the faces of the killers.

That's the logic of the irrational liberals that oppose waterboarding of terrorists.

Anybody with even a shred of moral decency can see what's wrong with this.

  • No attacks since 9/11, Bush officials must've done something right?

Ah yes, harsh interrogations (or 'torture' to liberals) did work, and people have not died because of waterboarding.

  • you that Ali will bomb washington tomorrow. so you drive to washington and capture Ali too. Because Ali didn´t know that Mohammed is in prison.

    Are you f. stupid ???

  • Waterboading a terrorist to save the lives of hundreds if not thousands of people is a bad thing?

If any of you can explain that, then go ahead, but you know as well as I do that there's nothing wrong with it.

I hope they contie to waterboard, and the people that are against it the victims of the next attack, then you'll think again about the positions you hold.

  • Bush administration officials have already admitted that torture has not led to a single piece of actionable intelligence and in fact has led to many "leads" which turned out to be completely false. millions were spent desperately trying to prove this information gained from torture but it all turned out to be nonsense given by these guys simply giving what they think their captors want them to say.

  • No they didn't admit that, you're making shit up now like the typical liberal liar

  • try consulting the google.

or just walk around wearing blinders in regards to anything that doesn't fit your fantasy.

  • google? enough said

Keep defending terrorists and making them out to be the victims, you're just making yourself look like an idiot

  • so you capture mohammed and he tells you that Ali will bomb washington tomorrow. so you drive to washington and capture Ali too. Because Ali didn´t know that Mohammed is in prison.

    Are you f. stupid ???

  • i never claimed a terrorist was the victim, i said torture does not lead to solid intelligence. god people like you are such irate morons - you are running down your list of anti-liberal talking points and the items are not even connected.

  • The whole point is to extract information that COULD be used to prevent another attack(s) , that's the only way to go about it. al-Qaida members will never give information of their own accord because if they do they know that their plans to kill more people will be thwarted by the CIA.

It's common sense, if people like you were running the show many more people would have already been killed by terrorists.

  • one example:

But a March 29 Washington Post story reveals that the torture of Abu Zubaida, touted by the ex-president as an intelligence treasure-trove, failed to foil a single terror plot and turned up scores of false leads.

space too short to give a good quote.

  • that's not even a quote to begin with, and if it 'failed to foil a single terror plot' then show me how it failed if there wasn't any more attacks after 9/11

What were the false leads? And is it not safe to say that any leads that have the potential to save thousands of lives worth looking into? Some maybe false, some maybe legit, that's the purose of interrogations and waterboarding.

  • i can't quote the newspaper article in 500 characters, go read it. i gave you the date.

the whole point of that article was that this specific guy was the one Bush used as his go-to to justify torture but it turned out that the guy was cooperative and gave everything he knew beforehand.

when they started torturing him he began yelling out made-up stories because he didn't know anything else. it was a horrible failure and Bush used it as his best evidence of justification by twisting the order.

  • thats what I am saying. If you capture one guy, his buddies know it and they change their strategy. They just move from one house to the other, other guys get in command and they won t bomb washington but seattle.

  • what does that have to do with torture?

  • when did they admitt it? can you name me the newspaper, radio station or morning show?

  • you cant say waterboarding is reason america hasnt been attacked again lmao. Granted we did get some intel from waterboarding but that didnt uncover a bunch of terror cells in the united states that is moronic.

  • Torture has always been unreliable at best... and the face of pure evil at worse. Terrorism is the price we pay for a free society. I didnt ask my govenment to waterboard individuals. This ass-hat saying waterboarding should be allowed... has to face his creator someday as he believes, I wonder what his defense will be.

  • Comment on this video

  • scarborough you are damaged. waterboarding is very effective at getting unreliabe information.

  • You're a tool JOE. Torture does not work you fucking moron . Ask the Mossad and IDF. Where is Zbigniew Brzezinski to bitch slap this asshole again???

  • This American never asked the CIA or the military or anyone else to torture. I never for one moment thought it was acceptable.

  • No attacks since 9/11, waterboarding IS effective

  • wrong, what about the cyanide attacks? after 9/11

  • "No attacks since 9/11, waterboarding IS effective"

    Are you really that stupid?

How many foreign terrorist attacks happened on American soil before 911? ZERO.

If we had been experiencing attack after attack, then implemented a torture program, and then the attacks stopped, you MIGHT have a point.

As it is, all we're doing is giving extremists a justification for hating us.

  • Ah, boo hoo, the extremists might hate you if you try to prevent them from killing you again, too bad I guess

  • Terrorists will attack again not because we do not torture. Terrorists will attack again because we DID torture.

  • Becuase of waterboarding those attacks will be stopped

  • Terrorists will attack because that is what they do. President Obama is a bigger threat to them then Bush ever was because is making an effort to make them even more of a fringe element then they already are. It really is silly to think terrorists are just going to stop because of anything we do or don't do they will stop when they either get what they want or when they are unable to recruit young men and women so desperate that dying for a cause is the best they have to hope for.

  • you, are an idiot

  • 911 is the only terror attack that was came from across the U.S inside the U.S that has ever happened. this dumbass is already calling it a cycle.

  • I think you're forgetting:

The 1996 Atlanta Olympic games attack.

    The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

The 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Those are just the ones close to home - there have been dozens on military ships and bases and embassies over the past 25 years.

Read a book or something, son.

  • I think he was talking about foreign terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. the attacks of 96' and 95' were domestic terrorists. the '93 attack is a valid point though.

  • i tink u need to read my comment more closely before debunking my knowledge. I said attacks that originated from outside of the U.S. None of the above attacks originated from outside.

The kind of bombings your talking about can NEVER be stopped unless citizens are barred from purchasing ingredients. Its funny you say choose to use those bombings as examples. They were mostly carried out by americans with the exception of World trade bombing (which was carried out by European immigrant muslims)

  • I like Scarborough better than most conservatives, but what a jackass on this issue. Where do rightwingers get this b.s. that "waterboarding kept us safe"? The interrogators say it's bore NO actionable information. Full stop.

  • Wow, you usually don't see news anchors NOT being poltically correct and speaking with a rational mind, but but but, this is about the terrorists' rights and not about their victims, right?

    No....

  • Liberals invented this Website

    Liberals invented the Nuke

    Liberals invented Google

90% of all Nobel Prize winners are very liberal

The first man on the moon was a liberal

The first man in space was liberal

Liberals outnumber conservatives in the world by 5:1

Liberals have the lowest subscription rate to porn, as opposed to conservatives in the sin insurance belt which it is the highest, by far

Liberals revolted against England for non-representation

Liberals are more adaptable than you

  • Crazy pills?

  • The worst part is this the show DC insiders watch. And they wonder why the net is stealing their audience. Do they live in a false argument world?

Keep shouting as you run off the cliff and get even more radical for a smaller slice of the pie.

  • Why do his "co-hosts" just sit there and let him babble his bs?

  • Because co-host is just a "babe". Not meant to talk much in the first place. Conservative style, enjoy it while it lasts :)

  • "Its still torture" was my favorite part

  • Let's waterboard Scarborough.

  • Scarborough is an idiot - he's such a coward and lives in fear.

It's his ilk that kills the women and children of other nations that then make them angry enough to lash out at this country

Hey terrorists you want to do the world a favor rid us all of these numbnuts.

  • OMFG, look at Joe try to drag children into this to validate that bullshit. I swear to fucking god every empty headed bandwagon riding scare tactic always involves children when everyone knows the children are easily the safest people in America. I am so sick of people try to push stupid shit and then hide behind the "paren cluase". What a fucking liar and coward. Joe scarborough needs to shut the fuck up and go hide behind his kids some more instead of trying to talk like a man

  • Ok sorry call me slow, but what the hell is he talking about? Can someone help me out..oh yeah and what is waterboarding exactly?

  • You are slow.

He's using a false dichotomy: either we torture people, or we die in terrorist attacks. I seriously feel ill listening to this. It enrages me to know so many citizens of my country will cheerfully and gratefully allow any act at all in the promise of some nebulous sense of safety.

What is waterboarding exactly? Five years ago, it would have been obvious to say "google it your damn self". At this point, I'm left wondering where your helpers are and why you're not asking them.

  • Joe never lets facts get in the way of his opinions.

  • Dude need to shut his pie-hole...never mind keep talking. Sounds as Z. Big say stunningly superficial about what he jumps up on the Soap Box to prattle on about.

  • Hey Scarborough you need to learn to back up your outrageous claims that torture like waterboarding "prevented" all these horrendous terrorist attacks involving major U.S. cities getting blown up

  • Fuck that guy.

  • The one thing that bothers me is that people are arguing whether waterboarding is technically torture or if it follows a law/treaty. I read a paragraph where someone tried to justify it by saying that it's not physical pain.

I think they're forgetting the fact that it is sick, sociopathetic and inhuman.

  • Joe doesn't understand that it is our insane foreign policy that causes terrorism in the first place. Then when terrorists attack he wants the USA to act even more insanely. We should apologize to the Nazi's and Communists who just wanted empire like we do.

  • ridiculous is right... why is Scarborough spewing the same rhetoric as the extremists he vilifies?

  • what is worth defending if we sell our souls torturing people?

  • i hate that blonde bitch say something debate wtf!!!

  • His co-host's comments right at the end sum up Joe's comments (entire philosophy?) quite well: "Ridiculous, ridiculous."

  • Joe, what's "perverse" are people like you, who are too mentally challenged to realise that waterboarding is against the Geneva convention, doesn't abide with due process of law....and you're likely waterboarding innocent people. What part of history doesn't wrap around that tiny mind of yours?

  • ok, so this is totally unrelated, but who is his cohost?

  • the woman who's job it is to talk joe down when he goes nuts, like she did at the end.

  • If we have another terrorist attack, I'm guessing it's more likely to come from republicans than Saudi's at this point.

  • Just like the first one..

  • Scarborough is scared of the Boogie Man.

  • Thanks for speaking for me, but I don't want anyone tortured. What kind of monsters do we want to turn into? Its best if we don't get too far off this planet.

  • he is such an ass hole!!!

  • Obama 2012! He is better than Bush! He is change! I love Obama I bought a t-shirt with Obama on it today for 40$

  • JOE do msnbc a favor GO over to faux noize where you belong!!

  • scarboro is a closet pothead !

  • astronut68.

.. actually I really hope Scarbourough is *not* a pothead .. If he was, he would be a big blow to marijuana legalization. Come to think of it, considering his broad hand gestures and overly dramatic presentation he was either drunk or tweaking on meth .. or a bit of both.

  • Torturing someone who is willing to die for the cause does not work as a deterrent nor does it get credible info. So what the hell is he talking about?

  • i think scarbrough is genuine fascist.

  • Why do Joey and O'Reilly look like they just ate a pickle?

    Because they LOVE THE PICKLE!

Anybody who lives in fear of terrorism

    is an OLD WOMAN.

  • Joe just had to bring "you keep my kid safe" into his rant. Education and a decent wage would have more effect on "my kid".

  • Mohammad is a patsy. he is a fall guy. I hate Scarbough and the Blond parrot.

  • If you close your eyes, you would think that it is dick cheney talking. Hey joe two wrongs don't make it right.

  • Wow. Scarborough can tell the future! Why isn't this being reported by the mainstream media?

  • Fear mongering ..101...Way to go Joe!

  • I hate joe.

  • joe let see you get tortur and see how you feel jackass!

  • it's obvious that Scarborough has no common sense and makes statements for shock value. Yet we still give his "words" attention. Americans like that is why we call Americans arrogant and out-of-touch.

  • we HAVE to torture in order for us to be safe is the most twisted thing I've ever heard. I wouldn't even tell him to go to Fox, just fire the asshole.

  • That woman is imagining choking him every time he talks!

  • Joe Scarborough fails at life.

  • Scarborough, possesed by Glen Beck!!!

  • Torture is not effective. Just study "The Crusades," it's right there.

  • US Torture = Terrorist recruitment material

    Simple as that.

  • I think Joe looks suspicious.

Perhaps some advanced interregation techniques are in order.

  • Joe Scarborough has saved America with his rhetoric.

  • I'd prefer to have terrorist attacks that have my country use torture...

In France, we more or less got rid of terrorist attacks (and believe we got a shitload of it and i was even close to one - 200 - meters in 1996) without using torture.

  • plz go over to msnbc and make these comments so that we can get this idiot off the air. He belongs on Fox.

  • What an ignorant cumsock he is.

  • Usually I don't comment, but really what an asshole is this guy.

  • joe and cowards like him are the only ones that are afraid

  • Joe is an idiot.

  • LOL Joe is such a fucking idiot.

If we don't torture people then LA will be nuked, great logic you dumbass.

  • Witness the GlennBeckification of TV conservatism

  • I believe he is a twit.

  • sorry, I never asked dick armey to torture anybody on my behalf....selling out the values that make this country great is not the answer

  • WoWOW! No way. WOW. oh....WOW

  • It is true that waterboarding and other forms of torture are effective at getting someone to talk. If you did that to me, I'd tell you anything you want to hear. I'd sing "There Ain't Nothing Like a Dame" and dance the hokey pokey for you.

These techniques are designed to get FALSE CONFESSIONS. We learned them from the North Koreans during the war.

Joe Scarborough is oblivious to the fact that none of the information the US got through torture was genuine. No attacks were prevented.

  • Even if attacks were prevented, giving up what makes us America to maybe-probably-kinda save a part of America is counter intuitive. It destroys what you are trying to save.

  • I agree with you 100%!

  • yea I always want to ask "What attack was prevented??".

He makes it seem that the only thing preventing nuclear holocaust is torturing of prisoners.

  • Yeah this is the Invisible Bogeyman supposedly lurking behind us all.

More people have died in the Mexican Drug Cartels deaths on the boarder than 9/11

  • More US troops have died in Iraq than in 9/11.

    Way to keep us safe...

If we don't waterboard every Muslim, Black and any minority we suspect, then LA will be nuked...tomorrow!

  • All of these fear mongers need to go live in a 3rd world country stricken by war and know what it actually feels like to live in fear even in your own home. I think they would have a few different things to say about how appropriate torture is, and why it doesn't work. Safety isn't everything, it is important, but living in perfect peace, which I would say the majority of the US qualifies as is wonderful, but not an excuse torture another human being. That is barbaric!

  • Send Joe to Iraq! Give him a uniform and let him go on patrol.

  • Not just Joe, but all of the lowlifes who support torture. I now, live in a place where I can get off of work at 12am walk a mile home by myself as young woman and I never have to look over my shoulder. It is wonderful, I love living in the US. But I have lived places where as a woman I couldn't leave my house at night without a man or two because I would be the easiest target. When I hear this fear mongering, I think back to that and want to spit in someone's face.
