@punk4godx20 Why does it MATTER? I honestly don't care if they're a Christian band or not, I listen for the music. This is why I normally don't listen to Christian bands, because people get all worked up about them needing to stick permanently to certain ways, which in all honesty, is exclusive. Let them be.
I dislike this song; why should Christians have anything to do with other gods/goddesses? Metaphorically or not, I believe Christians should stay as far away from "godless myths and old wivestales" as possible.
"Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly." 1 Timothy 4:7 (NIV)
in christian wise, if you sing christian songs you don't turn your back on god, why be christian if you do stuff that ain't christian. and i don not know relient k

if thats there imagination, they suck!!!!!!! No stupider song could ever be sung like this one. they shouldnt say there christian, when this album has nothing to do with god. no wonder they stopped singing
I personally think this is some of Falling Up's best work. Yes it will be criticized by those who do not read between the lines and don't specifically hear God mentioned. I think they have really branched out creatively in this album and that's why I like it soo much. For everyone bashing the album go read the interviews With Jessy. They haven't converted or anything this is just an extension of his creativity as an artist.
All of you are making a mockery of everything you are saying, you can argue all you want, ridicule, judge, and then some. But it doesn't matter, its youtube and no one cares if your religious or not.
Lmao... Like everyone said before me, if you take the lyrics literally then yes, this song will sound... out of place in the Christian genre. HOWEVER, the album is based on a FICTIONAL STORY. FICTIONAL. Not NON FICTION. Falling Up's songs and lyrics are full of metaphors and similes and... things that just don't make sense. Don't just look at the lyrics and blink. Read between the lines, people. :\
That is so true! ^^ Sometimes, though, I can find their metaphors to be a little confusing or hard to decipher, but sometimes the deeper meaning jumps out at me. They are a very unique band :)
100% agree... i think you deserve some kind of distinguished recognition for this comment.. u truly hit the nail on the head with what FU really are about
wow....falling up has regressed with every album....crashings was by far the best...dawn escapes was pretty good....but from there its aweful, nothing close to the original....they went from screaming a little, to no screaming, but some good riffs, to no energy, no nothing
People need to stop taking this album so literally. It's a screenplay for goodness sakes. It's supposed to be figurative and cryptic. I'm sure all of the members are still very much believers in Christ.

Of course here go you christians who Have to Insult EVERY religion except your own.
Dear lord, I love you, as you are one with all gods. But your followers are nothing like you. Please forgive their ignorance and rudeness.
You so called "Christians" Should really try to be more like your God. Because all you ever do is insult everyone and shove yoru faith down every ones throat.
I realize not all christians are like this and I do appologise for the generalization.

@CzarNichloas Just because they're christian doesn't mean they have to sing just Christian songs. Look at Relient K. They're Christian.

dude. I have to agree with you. I'm a Christian and I can't stand it when people say the love God and all that and then are complete jerks!
I hate it when they think they are so much better then everyone else and go around condemning people. That's just wrong.
But I can't say I'm perfect. No where near!!! x3 But I just thought I'd just say this. You make a good point.
...
I do like this song, though ^^

OK...read about the album!!!! It's based on a fictional play that Jesse wrote!!!
If they did convert, I hope they're happy, because...who cares what religion they are? it's about the music.
