@UnblockedOne2 Obama wants at least $5 gas to ruin the economy, plus he needs to continue the 'green' con job, milking the tax payers out of billions.
@nastrobamas Damn!....................Nigga? Why you be talkin' ebonics wit me?I said dis ain't yo bidness.Them white boys from da big D kicked yo black ass at yo own game.Waz up wit dat?
@nastrobamas Obama is just as much white as he is black. I have criticisms with this administration that have nothing to do with whether he is black or not. Things are not black and white (speaking both figuratively and literally in this case). Please keep in mind that the current administration has gone back on almost all of its promises and has proven to simply be an extension of the Bush administration on a few different levels.
@ahhhhjjjj yall white boyz be on da tube hatin da prez cuz he black we be seein dah sit yall be sayin gettn rid o da bruthas not givin da bruthas jobs givin da jobs ta da crackas an tellin da bruthas cuz we black so fuk off all yall cracka racist
@nastrobamas There are indeed people who criticize the President for not being white. I am not one of them. I supported Obama during the campaign. I've retracted my opinion given his policies. He's far to the center for my tastes. The administration had a chance to repeal the Bush administration's "Patriot act". They didn't. So the Patriot Act is still up and running. Like I said, Obama is not free from criticism. Just like Bush and the rest of the Republicans.
Obama hasn't done one thing to bring oil prices down, everything he has done brings the price up. Also burning our corn supply is the most foolish thing we can do, are food cost are skyrocketing, Obama needs to go, we need someone who has some idea of how to run a bussiness, this guy has no clue.
1:04 This is the kind of shit that the democrats would be doing all the time if they truly wanted to win against the GOP. Illuminate that the GOP don't care about these things, and just point it out with irrefutable facts. Hammer that shit in the media.
The problem with the left on a global scale is that they construct their talking points for their base. They make the humanitarian arguments that win their voters, that they've already won. Win the right on the facts of economics etc FFS!!!!
FACT: Obama is the main cause of putting strict regulations on drilling, actually he has STOPPED most drilling altogether in the United States. the United States has the resources to be independent as far as oil but Obama rather give Billions of our taxpayers money away to countries like Brazil for gas exploration then he turns around and puts the fault on everyone else and tries to make himself seem like he's innocent, Obama's incompetence is killing this country...
@guitarhaus Is it true that congress can dissolve the EPA? I know this question may sound silly in this forum, but that may be one way around the Obama halt to drilling. By the way, Obama just said that 13 oil leases were being opened up in the gulf. Actually it's only 1, the other 12 are ones he had halted earlier.
@DevastatorsPissed1 Tax breaks for the rich and deregulation of wallstreet and banks will result in job creation and trickeled down weatlh. Who said that? Can you guess? Republicans are too stupid.
@pistolpete1st Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, Commodity Futures Modernization Act. In 1995 the housing rules were lossened by rewriting the Community Reinvestment Act. Is that the deregulation you were talking about? If so you must hate Bill Clinton. If you would look at any unemployment chart of the Bush years you would find that jobs were created. Then lost in the finacail crisis. And Obama still said he wants enegy prices to "necessarily sky rocket".
@DevastatorsPissed1 OH you are talking about the budget bills passed under clinton by a repblican house holding GIs pay hostage then claiming its clintons fault for the pay freeze they caused to get not just deregulation, free trade aswell , those bills right.
If you look at he charts bush lost 5 million more jobs then his admid. created and then lost more in the finacial crisis that he caused. Face it you have no arguement.
I can't believe it took you this long to try and fail again.
@pistolpete1st Unemployment was 7% after 9/11, it was down to 4% before the finacial crisis. Clinton was forced by the republicans? We both know thats not true. It was crony capitalism. Presidents are responible for what they sign into law and Obama still wants energy to "necessarily sky rocket" by the way.
@DevastatorsPissed1 You clearly don't know what you're talking about, you didn't even research the contents of your right wing socialist talking points. You don't even acknowledge that it was a GOP controlled house that passed those bills. As for you fixxed unemployment numbers, bush still lost more jobs then he created, over a million more. You can't say the same for clinton. And you forget that it was bush that allowed for speculation of oil causing it to "unnecessarily sky rocket" by the way.
@pistolpete1st none of this seems so be sinking in. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, Commodity Futures Modernization Act which exempted credit defult swaps from regulation. Were signed into law by Bill Clinton, and neither of these bill have anything to do any buget bill, you just made that up. The Community Reinvestment Actwas chapioned by Clinton. None of this changes that Obama want energy to "necessarily sky rocket". Stop repeating what i say to you sound dumb
@CarnardP That's right! During all 5 economic crisis, the democrats were back in their home districts feeding hungry children. They had no idea what those rascally Republicans were up to.
@pistolpete1st No, we were too busy filling our pockets. By the way, how are your buddies doing these days? You know, the ones who lost all their money when the Republicans destroyed everything? Of course I'm talking about George Sorros, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barraba Boxer, and the Kennedy clan. As Democrats they seem to be doing alright. Did you hear Rush Limbaugh last week? He gave $500,000.00 to fight childhood leukemia. Still waiting to hear from your guys.
@earlyhemibill Oh, you mean the drug abusing, soldier hating, draft dodger. Well I took the time to look it up, he didn't, Not his money at least. You want to talk charity, Soros, Reid, and Kerry all have made contributions with their own cash to not just Leukemia research, but AIDS, premature births, FAS, Alzhiemers, Drug rehab, Habitat for Humanity, Katrina, Hatia, Wounded Warriors, ect. Has Oxycoton? No. By the way, other then exploiting charity for tax write offs, has he done anything for US
@pistolpete1st I did check online and it's true. I tried to paste the web address to this letter but it wouldn't go on for some reason. Go ahead, look it up.
@earlyhemibill I did, remember? Why don't you talk about why even if you could provide the link he is still a monster who hate America and its ideals. Why don't you mention that he has expilicitly told people to murder GIs, cops, teachers, doctors, construction workers, etc. simple for being liberal. Don't even try denying it TYT did a special on it: 3 TYT Rules On Violent Speech (Broken By Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilly...). Face it the wing is wrong, period.
@earlyhemibill Every year Rush has a fund raiser through his show for one day. He starts it off by donating some of his own money. Every year he donates more than the last. Donald trump called the show and donated $100,000 to the cause after Rush donated $500,000 of his own money. We often see people on the left having fund raisers but never hear how much they donate if any. Seems to me that they'd be OK with bragging about their good deed. They brag about everything else!
@earlyhemibill I check it out, he didn't donate 500,000 of his own cash. I checked his home page for info on it; none, so I checked his facebook: none, so I went to the ACF and LLS, guess what none. The only proof of it even being donated comes straight from the fundraiser itself. That said, it still doesn't a thing. The Right hate America and Americans, one good deed doesn't undo decades of crimes comitted against America. Why don't you mention the terroristic threats he has made to the left.
@CarnardP They also caused the tsunami in Japan, the earthquake in Haiti, tornadoes in the midwest, global warming, global cooling, Lady Gaga, continental shift, and most of all, Bush was behind the 9-11 attacks!
@RBaleog "Obama would kick Bernanke out of the FED if he wanted to put inflation under control!" I'll take it a step further. If Obama or any other president wanted to put inflation under control he would kick out the FED altogether once and for all.
Thank you for your interest in hydrogen on demand , please just click on this link website and then any device and start explore each hydrogen from water device to save fuel , increase power , clean combustion , no carbon deposit inside your engine anymore , more km beteween oil changes , and zero emissions , your vehicle will also last longer time .
Think about this, if all our farms grew nothing but corn and grains it still would not be enough to meet our transportation needs using 100% of it...... which means we would lose atleast 50% of our own food products, like to eat meat, u can't eat meat anymore, all meat producing animals require grain based feeds, have a dog or cat, theyll have to b put to sleep, almost all of your pets food is grain. Just the tip of the iceburg but I think u get the picture.
What you don't realize is that plants can not produce in "endless quantities" each year, when you narrow that down to what is called a growing season then they can actually only produce less then half a year, ie.... corn will not grow with 18 inches of snow on top of it.... so although it is renewable the yearly yeild is limited and given how little farm land is left, it just simply isn't enough.
Now there's a great idea, lets put all our corn production into ethanol.... fine, lets also throw out atleast 50% of all our food products because almost every contains corn and/or wheat..... hell, we might all starve to death but atleast we can ride while we do it. Here's a better idea, why don't we use our own drilling rigs and drill for our own oil right here in the US & only sell our surplus to other countries. Other countries that do it only pay like .5 cents a gallon, requires common sense
@Bronzecop I sure do wish you'd told me 24 yrs ago that as the wife of a lowly construction worker I had money and control becaues it makes no sense to purchase goods or resources from another country that we have right here in our own back yard not to mention all the jobs that are lost here at home when we do stupid crap like that.
Hey but I can see in u the perfect makings of a future politician, maybe u should run for office....
And according to what I heard our fuel reserves are full, if Odumber wanted to he could release some of our fuel reserves to help ease the price of gas, as one of our other presidents did but that wouldn't fit into his plan to destroy this country now would it.....
Oh and don't complain about the price of gas until you've filled up with a tank full of diesel fuel, which I might add is a byproduct of making gas, cuz diesel prices are alot higher then gas prices.
Now theres a great idea, my hubby should ride a bike to work, which bike do you recommend to haul saws, nail guns, air hoses, hammers, chainsaws, ladders, walkboards, a 400# air compressor, miter boxes, misc. tools, lumber, etc. ? Oh & it should have a bumper hitch 4 his trailer when he has 2 do metal work? All those things u take for granted some poor peon built, houses, ac, plumbing, etc. What time should he leave for his 30 mile bike ride? I'm shocked some of u can tie your own shoe laces.
Wall Street wants gas prices high. How much do we pay at the pump for speculation? This is a bi-partisan effort. Also Ethanol in gas is a fraud and drives up food prices.
Measured in real money - silver dimes minted prior to 1968.
1 dime will buy you 1 gallon of gas.
The actual price in US dollars is going up not due to speculators, but due to the money the Fed is providing to everybody to be able to buy the future contracts. The money that is printed is the reason the prices are going up in that money.
In real money - silver/gold, the prices are lowest ever on record in US history.
@romanmir01 Thats not entirely true, speculation does raise the price gasoline. You are discribing inflation due to devaulation. That too raises gas prices, but not at the same rate. Speculation is in poor man's terms a process of artificial inflation for profit. By claiming manufacturing, shipping, and/or supply and demand will increase or decrease to cause massive investment or withdrawl. This gives consumers the burden and wallstreet and CEOs major profits.
@pistolpete1st you don't understand my point. Where do you think the money comes from, which flows into the futures contracts for any asset class?
Think about that question for a moment, and realize that banks and various 'investment' firms, such as GS are getting FREE MONEY from gov't, so they immediately turn around and exchange that WORTHLESS paper (because free of interest money is worthless and there is more and more of it, so you gotta get out of it before others do).
@romanmir01 Thats still inflation due to devaluation. You are right though, at least about how they make a profit in loans. But do you understand how they do it? By making loans and trades without collateral but rather credit of it purposed value at the time (this is where speculation comes to into play), and then the FED has to print that money at its dollar ammount devalueing the dollar and driving the dollar value of said item and then sharply dropping it as the speculators cash in.
No. "HIGHEST LEVELS EVER CAPS RAGE" were under Bush back in 2008. The average price was $4.25. And since when does the president automatically decree oil prices? You realize that the reason we have the House of Representatives and the Senate is to prevent dictatorships right?
@KelsR58 That was during peak summer demand. It wasn't in early May. So yes Obama's $4.00 gallon of gas is the highest EVER during the non peak summer. You do realize that all of the Liberals blamed Bush for the Gas prices saying he was trying to make his friends rich. Looks like it's Obama's turn to take the blame.
I still don't think people have gotten through their heads that oil prices will continue to rise forever until there is very little amount left. We reached peak oil years ago, it is INEVITABLE.
It amazes me how many middle- and lower-class Americans vote a straight red ticket when the Republicans do everything they can think of to bend'em over and fuck'em.
Obama wants america to loose the Caucasian- Alien war that is going on now in 74th hyperspace. What? He doesn't? No such thing? Well... Well fuck him anyway, he is Hitler communist. Republicans: FUCK YEA.
Did everyone just get stupid overnight? Of course Obama wanted higher gas prices. It was his campaign team that stated that while he was running for President in 2008. Of course the government wants higher gas prices. It's called TAXES! The higher the price of gas, the more Federal tax is paid! Gas is a guaranteed money maker and the LEFT wants to raise taxes on gas to "discourage" drivers from driving so much! BULLSHIT!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!
@earlyhemibill How can anyone say that one of our presidents wants ours or anyone elses people killed. As a Republican I am so discusted by people who think that Bush wanted those people killed on 9-11. Imagine if this happened while Clinton or Obama was in office. How would the left like it if the shoe was on the other foot? Bin Laden is thing, innocent people was another!
@pistolpete1st you are a delusional idiot, no-wonder you don't have your page with any pertinent information on it as you are simply a delusional fool talking shit, Obama is the WORST President and Bush is right behind him !!!! I don't believe there's any hope whatsoever for you as you are truly braindead....
@guitarhaus My page won't ever contain information of anything except what amuses me. If you want information, do what I do LOOK IT UP. It is not all that hard, but I guess in your mind facts don't need to be facts, just zingy and leaves you feeling statisfied. As for your tax dollar and Oil remark that was the GOP proposal, Obama merely signed it. The GOP would sent it though again with 2/3 to over turn the veto if he hadn't. Look it up, they have to put they name on the bill.
@terminaldeity The phrase "going back down" is subjective to your location, among other factors. I must correct my prior statement, it was only 2 cents, and only one station lowered its price. Here in Alaska, your comment lacks "truth value".
In any case, gas prices have always been a rollercoaster of big gains and small drops. They raise prices immensely, then lower them slightly to keep us from rioting, and we get used to this cycle. It happens over a long period of time so we just accept it.
if i was the president i wouldnt care about what im not allowed to do, i would force elections to be publically funded and completly eliminate corruption. i would explain this to the U.S. and let the people decide and not the corrupt politicians around me.
Alas, the poor, ignorant, racist, illiterate, jealous, self-hating, belligerent, rude, disrespectful, segregationist, elitist, incompetent, lazy, short-sighted, pathetic, delusional, apathetic, selfish, schizophrenic ,unAmerican Obama haters. You all disgust me. Get over yourselves. You are always the FIRST to take a government handout.
Cenk can be so stupid sometimes... every time the US does some little invasion gas prices go up... all the middle east revolutions are making gas go up... come on... Cenk dont be a sellout
@markmotarker No, speculators on Wall Street are using the middle east revolutions as an excuse to jack up oil prices. Look up the OPEC member countries. Those 12 countries contain 79% of the world's known oil reserves, and of the 12 Libya is the only one with a revolution going on.
Cenk comes with a well prepared argument and presents it very well. You come with a childish "you are stupid, you sellout" argument that makes you look foolish. Stop talking..just stop please.
awww shit I really hope they don't cut the CFTC budget, the CFTC is doing a crap job as is keeping the specs in check. Parabolic moves in commodities are coming up, good thing I like trading them :P
Actually, Obama doesnt want gas prices to be high per say, but his decisions have caused gas prices to be high, the same reason why the price of all commodities have risen. It was Obamas administration that decided to inflate the shit out of our currency, and go into massive debt.
Choices of consequences. Bailing out and supporting a failing economy, has consequences. This is one of them. This was Obamas choice and now he has to deal with it.
Actually Obama does want high gas prices. Obama needs $1 billion for his reelection campaign and OF COURSE Obama's biggest contributors are Wall Street and the oil companies. Don't listen to what Dems say, watch what they do. If you noticed Bill Clinton endorsed Paul Ryan's plan just like Bill Clinton sowed the seeds for the crash in 2008. Dems may say one thing but most of them are bought and paid for by Wall Street, Oil and the military industrial complex.
I am well aware. Our government allows you to take stocks in all of our oil and give us shitty prices. Ah well, we're fortunate to be in 1st world countries, even if the economy isn't that good.
What do you expect? Conservatives have defective brains, it's been proven, and pretty much all corporate executives and politicians are psychopaths no matter how you slice the symptoms.
So what you end up with are a bunch of delusionally paranoid individuals who either have no capacity to empathize with others in any way, or who actually get off on the suffering of others. And the hallmark of the psychopath is their capacity to "fake" being as normal as can be.
I wouldn't mind if there was a conspiracy to raise gas prices. I think prices should be really high to promote green energy. Only when things get detrimental does change ensue, sometimes people need a litt;e shove in the right direction. Ride a bike people, take a walk.
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 Well in some cities it's simply unrealistic to ride a bike everywhere you'd want to go. And even done whenever possible, the high gas prices still hurt the middle class more than the rich. For example, where I live, the nearest market is a 20 min drive, there is NO WAY I can go grocery shopping by biking. And guess what, I have to make that drive 3 times a week. So no, high gas prices is hurting us.
In the short term, yes. But consumer outrage would inspire companies to design more efficient vehicles that would consume very little to no gas. It would suck for the first year or so but in the long run it would get better. Especially if the government started a program where they bought old gas guzzlers in exchange for money to be used to buy more efficient vehicles. I'm sure something would be worked out eventually. I mean, gas will run out eventually either way you look at it.
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 I agree with you but not everyone can just "ride a bike" when they're 30-40 miles from where they work, or the nearest place they can get a lot of their necessities. I support green and renewable energy and I try and push for those changes, but riding a bike just isn't doable for people in rural areas like where I'm from.
Yea, some bus system or carpool system would be ideal. I was mostly being facetious when I was saying just ride a bike. But really, there are a lot of people than can actually ride a bike but they choose to drive instead, and to them I'm being serious. Unless it's like 105 degrees out, then you probably should just stay home and forget about going anywhere for any reason.
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 " Ride a bike people, take a walk. " Is that your message to Senior Citizens who now consider Gasoline a luxury. I would be more impressed with Green Energy if the Liberals and Progressives who want it would invest their own money in it.
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 - seriously? You don't mind that corrupt traders are raping people out of sheer greed? Look, it's one thing to put a green energy and mass transit tax on fossil fuels, and you can make a case for that. But endorsing high prices just to reward wealthy pricks is, well, just kinda special.
I think oil should be taxed, then the money should go to green energy. If gas prices are raised too high, the US government should give some other options where possible such as buses, or make car pooling a more attractive option. If we tax oil then the money is not aiding the wealthy, it's aiding the entire country by investing in the technology of the future.
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 Actually in europe, they tax oil to make it purposefully high. Its not like the US has this giant supply. We only have like 2% of the worlds oil. We import almost everything. Tax revenue invested in green energy would work.
@olegsemenmn Nooooo, replace expensive ass gaosline with extreme cheap ethanol from Corn. Why do you think Tim Pawlenty wants to cut susidies for Ethanol production in Iowa? Not one person at his speech clapped for him when he said that.
@hanksnow82 Why? The bio-gasoline made from corn & the bio-diesel made from canola are re-newable sources that can produced in endless quantities each year, not each millenium.
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 "Ride a bike people, take a walk." Great idea so the United States can look like China did twenty or thirty years ago. No thank, why don't you take a walk? When the political whores and pimps give up their planes, trains and cars then I'll start walking. If you want to fall for that green energy bullshit hocus pocus be my guest.
I do walk... And so what you're saying is that until other people do something you won't do it? I think the greedy rich that fly in their private jets should give it up, but I also think that people that can afford to walk, bike, or take public transportation don't. And what are you talking about falling for the "green energy bullshit hocus pocus," it's not magic. If you use less oil there will be less green house gases. You're freaking hilarious.
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7" If you use less oil there will be less green house gases. You're freaking hilarious."Listen, I have no problem walking or riding a bike because I believe in fresh air and exercise. However I am the type of individual who believes in using critical thinking and questioning popular opinion. When I see a con man like Al Gore blather on about saving the environment while at the same time flying around in a jet and causing traffic jambs for miles with his motorcade I question it.
Then I don't see why you disagree with me. I'm not saying that people should fly around in private jets I'm saying the opposite. Al Gore is a hypocrite (everyone is but that's beside the point), and if he really cared about the environment he should stop. But does others hypocrisy justify your own disapproval of trying to end reliance on oil?
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 Look I think we should be good stewards of the earth. Do we make mistakes and cause pollutions and trash? Yes! However we are learning all the time from our mistakes. It is going to take time, effort and money to build an alternative to oil.In the mean time we need to realize that without oil we would not even have these computers let alone be able to correspond over them . Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. We still need oil and oil based products for now.
If you Americans were abit intelligent, make your representatives invest in green energy instead of bitching about, your oil monopolies make super-mega profits so obviously they are doing well, plus you give them free tax money.
.
Where is the problem? Do they need more free tax money?
Why don't cut the emergency living assistance to starving people like your far-right wants?
@underbjorn because there is this thing called freedom here. there is a consequence for everything and this is one of them. people can become rich. they can go soo high that they can manipulate the law even. there are social wars and blah blah bs. but then again, its better than communism like cuba.stop talking shit.im cuban.go spend some time there and ull love this country. matter fact, ALL other countries suck ass and are and always HAVE been jealous. yes U.S.A has errors, but dont we all?
I couldn't care less what an exil Cuban told me, the idea that everybody is jealous of the United States comes from the 1800s when people immigrated en masse from Europe because of liberty there.
Don't think the United States is centrum of liberty today, then you are an uneducated fool.
@underbjorn yes.europe got its ass kicked by america too,and licks its balls every day.what ? maybe 40% of europe is prestige? please.stfu. and it IS.suck it up and hate all u whant. europe is like pepsi is to coca cola..always the second best.so suck it up like i said, and admit.HAHAA.im uneducated hu? people like u are soo mighty...well,in ur weak brains u r.HAHAHAHAHA. U.S.A is ALWAYS on the table all around the world..it is THE COUNRTY THAT GIVES THE MOST.to poor and busness wise as well
@wspol624 LOL The world had cars in the 50-80's that got 50-75 MPG. Cars in the U.S. have just gotten heavier again due to safety laws....laws we WOULDN'T need to have if every needle dick in the U.S. didn't feel the need to drive a big ass SUV or Truck they'll never use.
@nightmathzombieethan heh, Safety laws are good. Requiring airbags is good. Please don't blame "regulation" on the free market's descision to make SUVs, please. It's stupid.
@Teremei I have no problem with Safety my problem is that in the US we can't have Kei cars & cars with superior gas mileage like the majority of cars bought and sold in Europe & the rest of the world. These regulations were put in place to deal with the average size of cars here. Kei cars aren't safe when being struck by a vehicle 3 times it's size and weight (SUV). If we didn't have so many of them on the road (useless trucks and SUV's) we could all be driving lighter more efficient cars.
@HomleandSecurity Yea, it's obvious he is the anti-christ disguised as a muslim atheist communist fascist. I just don't understand how no one else sees it! It's like they are all delusional! But not us, we see him for what he is.
your elections are fixed, BO is a puppet...it's a game. Obama was the president for peace BUT look where your country is. You are lost in the matrix, OBAMA will win 2012, cause America u so dumb!
why is it that these ppl keeping coming back to complaining that money is the root problem for everything , yet they are still 100$% in favor of the idea of money and it's use for the system? they're close but need that extra bit of realization
I do believe they want gas prices high to push alternative energy. The oil companies will invest in it, take the money and close it down.

FACT: Obama is the main cause of putting strict regulations on drilling, actually he has STOPPED most drilling altogether in the United States. the United States has the resources to be independent as far as oil but Obama rather give Billions of our taxpayers money away to countries like Brazil for gas exploration then he turns around and puts the fault on everyone else and tries to make himself seem like he's innocent, Obama's incompetence is killing this country...
guitarhaus 9 months ago
@guitarhaus Is it true that congress can dissolve the EPA? I know this question may sound silly in this forum, but that may be one way around the Obama halt to drilling. By the way, Obama just said that 13 oil leases were being opened up in the gulf. Actually it's only 1, the other 12 are ones he had halted earlier.

DevastatorsPissed1 8 months ago
@DevastatorsPissed1 OH you are talking about the budget bills passed under clinton by a repblican house holding GIs pay hostage then claiming its clintons fault for the pay freeze they caused to get not just deregulation, free trade aswell , those bills right.
If you look at he charts bush lost 5 million more jobs then his admid. created and then lost more in the finacial crisis that he caused. Face it you have no arguement.
I can't believe it took you this long to try and fail again.
pistolpete1st 8 months ago
@pistolpete1st Unemployment was 7% after 9/11, it was down to 4% before the finacial crisis. Clinton was forced by the republicans? We both know thats not true. It was crony capitalism. DevastatorsPissed1 8 months ago

Donald trump called the show and donated $100,000 to the cause after Rush donated $500,000 of his own money. We often see people on the left having fund raisers but never hear how much they donate if any. Seems to me that they'd be OK with bragging about their good deed. They brag about everything else!

AwohaliSagwu 9 months ago
What you don't realize is that plants can not produce in "endless quantities" each year, when you narrow that down to what is called a growing season then they can actually only produce less then half a year, ie.... corn will not grow with 18 inches of snow on top of it.... so although it is renewable the yearly yeild is limited and given how little farm land is left, it just simply isn't enough.
AwohaliSagwu 9 months ago
Now there's a great idea, lets put all our corn production into ethanol.... fine, lets also throw out atleast 50% of all our food products because almost every contains corn and/or wheat..... hell, we might all starve to death but atleast we can ride while we do it. Here's a better idea, why don't we use our own drilling rigs and drill for our own oil right here in the US & only sell our surplus to other countries. Other countries that do it only pay like .5 cents a gallon, requires common sense

Wall Street wants gas prices high. How much do we pay at the pump for speculation? This is a bi-partisan effort. Also Ethanol in gas is a fraud and drives up food prices.
wanker89 9 months ago
Gas is at RECORD LOW PRICES TODAY.
In real money - silver/gold, the prices are lowest ever on record in US history.
romanmir01 9 months ago
@romanmir01 Thats not entirely true, speculation does raise the price gasoline. You are discribing inflation due to devaulation. That too raises gas prices, but not at the same rate. Speculation is in poor man's terms a process of artificial inflation for profit. By claiming manufacturing, shipping, and/or supply and demand will increase or decrease to cause massive investment or withdrawl. This gives consumers the burden and wallstreet and CEOs major profits.
pistolpete1st 9 months ago
@pistolpete1st you don't understand my point. Where do you think the money comes from, which flows into the futures contracts for any asset class?
Think about that question for a moment, and realize that banks and various 'investment' firms, such as GS are getting FREE MONEY from gov't, so they immediately turn around and exchange that WORTHLESS paper (because free of interest money is worthless and there is more and more of it, so you gotta get out of it before others do).
romanmir01 9 months ago
@romanmir01 Thats still inflation due to devaluation. You are right though, at least about how they make a profit in loans. But do you understand how they do it? By making loans and trades without collateral but rather credit of it purposed value at the time (this is where speculation comes to into play), and then the FED has to print that money at its dollar ammount devalueing the dollar and driving the dollar value of said item and then sharply dropping it as the speculators cash in.

I wouldn't mind if there was a conspiracy to raise gas prices. I think prices should be really high to promote green energy. Only when things get detrimental does change ensue, sometimes people need a litt;e shove in the right direction. Ride a bike people, take a walk.
qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 9 months ago 40
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 Well in some cities it's simply unrealistic to ride a bike everywhere you'd want to go. And even done whenever possible, the high gas prices still hurt the middle class more than the rich. For example, where I live, the nearest market is a 20 min drive, there is NO WAY I can go grocery shopping by biking. And guess what, I have to make that drive 3 times a week. So no, high gas prices is hurting us.
2484Stryker 9 months ago
@2484Stryker

47f0 9 months ago
@47f0
I think oil should be taxed, then the money should go to green energy. If gas prices are raised too high, the US government should give some other options where possible such as buses, or make car pooling a more attractive option. If we tax oil then the money is not aiding the wealthy, it's aiding the entire country by investing in the technology of the future.
qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 9 months ago
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 Actually in europe, they tax oil to make it purposefully high. Its not like the US has this giant supply. We only have like 2% of the worlds oil. We import almost everything. Tax revenue invested in green energy would work.

@xxdonaldqxxx
Then I don't see why you disagree with me. I'm not saying that people should fly around in private jets I'm saying the opposite. Al Gore is a hypocrite (everyone is but that's beside the point), and if he really cared about the environment he should stop. But does others hypocrisy justify your own disapproval of trying to end reliance on oil?
qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 9 months ago
@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 Look I think we should be good stewards of the earth. Do we make mistakes and cause pollutions and trash? Yes! However we are learning all the time from our mistakes. It is going to take time, effort and money to build an alternative to oil.In the mean time we need to realize that without oil we would not even have these computers let alone be able to correspond over them . Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. We still need oil and oil based products for now.

@qwertyuiopaaaaaaa7 Don't you get it! Al Gore has to use all that fossil fuel so he can tell us to stop using all that fossil fuel!

Haha, yea right, "high gas prices".
If you Americans were abit intelligent, make your representatives invest in green energy instead of bitching about, your oil monopolies make super-mega profits so obviously they are doing well, plus you give them free tax money.
.
Where is the problem? Do they need more free tax money?
Why don't cut the emergency living assistance to starving people like your far-right wants?
underbjorn 9 months ago
@underbjorn because there is this thing called freedom here. there is a consequence for everything and this is one of them. people can become rich. they can go soo high that they can manipulate the law even. there are social wars and blah blah bs. but then again, its better than communism like cuba.stop talking shit.im cuban.go spend some time there and ull love this country. matter fact, ALL other countries suck ass and are and always HAVE been jealous. yes U.S.A has errors, but dont we all?
keenth7 9 months ago
@keenth7 ---
I couldn't care less what an exil Cuban told me, the idea that everybody is jealous of the United States comes from the 1800s when people immigrated en masse from Europe because of liberty there.
Don't think the United States is centrum of liberty today, then you are an uneducated fool.

@wspol624 LOL The world had cars in the 50-80's that got 50-75 MPG. Cars in the U.S. have just gotten heavier again due to safety laws....laws we WOULDN'T need to have if every needle dick in the U.S. didn't feel the need to drive a big ass SUV or Truck they'll never use.
nightmathzombieethan 9 months ago
@nightmathzombieethan heh, Safety laws are good. Requiring airbags is good. Please don't blame "regulation" on the free market's descision to make SUVs, please. It's stupid.
Teremei 9 months ago
@Teremei I have no problem with Safety my problem is that in the US we can't have Kei cars & cars with superior gas mileage like the majority of cars bought and sold in Europe & the rest of the world. These regulations were put in place to deal with the average size of cars here. Kei cars aren't safe when being struck by a vehicle 3 times it's size and weight (SUV). If we didn't have so many of them on the road (useless trucks and SUV's) we could all be driving lighter more efficient cars.
