becuse when i put my songs in nothing shows up its just the song for 3 sec then i go back to the main menu

If you're talking about how to place files in place, then the folders go like this:

StepMania > Songs > Name (Song Group) > Song files

If your song only places for 3 seconds, that means the steps don't exist. In the 'Song files' folder, you need to have the mp3 or ogg, and a SM and DWI file. That SM and DWI files are what contain your steps.

its keyboard problem. Some keyboard does it, some doesn't. Mine used to do it and once I switched the keyboard, beeping were gone.

it's because most keyboard don't let the computer register any more than 3 keys at once.

are you hitting all 4 arrow keys at once? Cause i understand that some keyboards beep when you hit more than 3 keys. I'm on a laptop and it's never done it. Try going into stepmania's settings and setup your keys using the letters. I usually do DF and JK and use both my hands to play stepmania.

Yeah, all at once. And switching to letters would kinda feel awkward. I play one-handed, so I'd have to either move my hand to the other side, or move the keyboard, and the letters wouldn't line up quite as well for me. I'm too used to the setup of the arrow keys to be able to change well to the letters. Maybe I could set them to the numpad, since it's lined up..

I think it's that the timing of the 4 keys are just nanoseconds apart, to ensure the computer registers all the hits, but as for the beeping, this usually happens when you HOLD keys, not press them.
