105 more days until my Soldier returns home. We (Girlfriends, wives, and fiances) hold a silent rank. We get NO recognition for our battles of mind and heart. We have no ribbons on our collars besides the yellow ones we pin so proud. This is my first deployment with him, but his 2nd deployment. I never understood how hard it could be. Another song I suggest for the girls going thru a deployment; Theory of a Deadman, Wait for Me. It helps <3
My brother is stationed at Miramar. He is an F-18 mechanic there and although he isnt deployed, I still miss him like crazy since he is about 2000 miles away from home. It has been 7 months since I have seen him last and it will be another 3 to 5 months until I see his beautiful face again.

Thank you for all the comments everyone! We're actually married now :) We got engaged a couple months after he got back. Unfortunately he just left for Afghanistan a couple weeks ago so I came back here to watch this video for inspiration. Deployment #2, bring it on!!!!
@valhalla6277 Good luck with this deployment, as crazy and it sounds somehow you do get "used to it", my husband is back from his 4th deployment, and our daughter has been through 2 deployments at age 3, and I can tell you that even she understands that her daddy has to be away to keep us all safe.

Just curious but has the military given/offered you any advice and help about how to help your heroes deal with PTSD and adjusting back to regular American life from the horrors, tensions and terrifying experiences of combat and war? Does the shine of happy reunions wear off to the difficulties of adjusting back?
These heroes deserve everything we can give them for serving our country!
