I am with everyone here! Much Music SUCKS now! I used to record videos and interview segments off it when I was a teenager! Now it's washed out and unoriginal! The biggest problem.... REALITY TV! But second to that is it's not even about music anymore, it's nothing but reality and tv shows. What happened to the time you could throw a party and have MUCH MUSIC on your tv as the music and dance all night????? MUCH MUSIC IS A SELL OUT!

and as for people saying "the quality of music in the past while had dropped", I wouldn't say that, the focus has simply changed, Lets face it "rock" died in the 50's,then again in the 70's, then again around 2001, but honestly, the focus simpily changed, Where we have "hard rock" we have Soft Rock, where we had Soft rock we have Folk, where we have "Alternative" we now have "indie". Where we once had Metal we got the "cores" Hardcore/Deathcore/Grindcore, or Boy/girl band pop to Dance pop.

As much as i agree with most of the people on here how the over all quality of the channel has seemingly gone to shit, i would like to point out one minor detail people people seem to have forgotten, What was much music before other then a RADIO STATION that had a visual interface. Don't get me wrong, I loved Much back in the day. i loved the art that the artist added to there music with the videos. but it was just a radio station either way.

Yes, I too remember the days when Much Music was all about the music, and went out of their way to support Canadian bands. Ever since Moses Znaimer left (he was the executive producer for everything good on Much) the channel went to the dogs. Much sold out, and turned its back on good Canadian music like Moist.

Here's to the days where Much was something to watch, and Moist made you proud of Canadian music.

I agree. Music circa 1996/1997 was the best. I was around Grade 5/6 then. There was actually meaning in the lyrics instead of people singing about people's drunk nights.

Much Music has gone down hill. For those young folks out there, Much Music used to actually play music videos and now they show crappy reality tv shows. Also, the VJ's were WAY better like Master T, BIll Welchyka, Rick "The Temp", Sook-Yin Lee, etc.

Now they play shows about a bunch of hookers trying to cut a record deal (pussycat dolls), or a bunch of rappers showing how much money they can spend before their careers die and they're forgotten.
