thanks a million! so hard to connect. stupid Apple.. anyways
Im trying to connect my phone to my Contour GPS hemet cam (has bluetooth card) and it just won't come up as an option on my phone though it comes up (but dont allow connection with) my Mac (not nessesary - I am trying to connect the iphone 3GS to the contour)... whats the problem?
after it says gathering additional information complete it skips the pairing stage... it just goes straight to "select the services you want to use with your mobile phone"
In the 2 years i've had the 3G I've never been able to get the bluetooth working, I don't know anyone with a iphone or ipod touch who has... Apple hasn't even addressed this fundamental problem in there firmware updates, so i'm guessing it's a hardware problem they don't want to bring our attention to.
I agree completely. Something as simple as bluetooth should not be this fucking difficult. I cant believe we all have to research this issue seeing as how we all know how to connect bluetooth devices yet its so difficult for iphones. I have an iphone 4 and thought for sure by now it wouldnt be such a fucking run around trying to get it to connect with my APPLE laptop. Apple makes the coolest shit but they do the worst business.
@NoLove4Babylon Apple do it on purpose they don,t want to bluetoothing things for free sending songs, photos, all kinds of thing apple shits me sometimes..
Thanks so much! I spent over an hour on the phone to Apple about this. I could not connect my new 3GS to either my iMac or MacBook Pro. I did find one weird thing however. On my MacBook Pro I could connect as long as I disconnected my Bluetooth Apple Mighty Mouse, then connected tethering via Bluetooth. After a connection was established, I could then reconnect the Mighty Mouse. To disconnect the mouse I had to do it on the Mac, not just turn off the mouse. Hope they fix this soon! Thanks again!
dont show your ip adress, if someone googles it it can get your first and last name your device its registered to and where you are down to the street name
Hi, Re Danny7930's comment...he is correct in most cases re posting your IP address however the IP that we can see ...192.168 etc... is the IP of the connection between your iPhone and your computer... it's not a external IP... many routers and modems us IP's that start with 192.168. etc etc.... so the IP in this case is not on that can be accessed from outside your local network. There are probably thousands of people around the world that are connecting their phone to Mac with the same IP.
Brilliant , i have looked for ages, I tried this on two iphone's and it done the job.
Thank you very much .

Great, great und many many thanks
I was going to go nuts!
And there aren't many useful contributions about this. well after one hour googling it was the only one.
Just one point; At least on snow you have to close the preference panel in order to save the changes. Only then it works.
Still d'like to know what on earth made it work at the beginning since 4 weeks and made breack down yesterday!
