If the guy was a combat soldier his I.D. dogtag would be either blackened or covered with a green patch\cover, that's one of the first things they teach you in basic training, so it doesn't reflect the sunlight and reveal your position when you're laying in ambush in the field.

Its a M653. The weapon pictured has a M16 A1 lower receiver, no grove in the barrel for an M203 to be mounted onto, (the M4 has one) also the rear sight is a wheel type sight and the windage and elevation configuration is completely different from the M16 A2-A4, and the M4 bloc of Assault rifles. Furthermore the forward assist id oval shaped instead of circular, this is only found on the A1 upper receivers.

You can connect a carrying handle so that it looks almost exactly like a short M16.

In this video the weapon is an M16, you can tell by how thin the barrel is.

Also, in the IDF, you dont get an M4 just because u want one. You only get it if you are a marksman, which means you have an optical sight on the weapon, do you see one in the video?

Its a CAR 15 or a GAU 5 used by the airforce and adopted by SF teams and Naval Spec Warfare back in the 70s to early 90s. America gave it to Israel cause we dont need it anymore and we like to piss of the middle east on a regular basis. It could also be a M653. Either way Im against American citizens joining foreign armies.
