  • i went to this, it was insane

  • Nik this is amazing footage, thank you so much... Interesting thread on the camera policy and link provided. I appreciate the footage cuz in lieu of getting my camera confiscated I was bangin my head so harsh in the front row 102A!. I would have had nothing but a blur on the film.

FUCKIN AWESOME CONCERT - annn footage to do it justice. Thanks...

  • Lol, of all the the gigs I've filmed, NIN have been the hardest. It's torture trying to stand still and film during one of the most body-moving bands out there ;) Totally worth it tho when I get to share it with awesome fans that really appreciate it.

Thanks for the kind words ;)

  • DONT KNOW WHEN IT STARTED! DONT KNOW HOW!

these guys kicked ass in hamilton

i seriously hope the professional movie of lights in the sky tour comes out, don't know why it's delayed.

  • cameras were allowed. as long as they werent professional cameras. Security didnt even care that i was doing j's the entire show AND filming too! Next time dont worry Trents cool with ya filming!

  • I think you and I got lucky. I know of others that were shut down during their attempts. Right outside the main center aisle entrance to the theater they had a sign to the effect of "No audio or video recording devices". Non-professional *still* cameras were fine.

Indeed, Trent himself is fine audience filming, but individual venues set their own policies, despite the wishes of the performing artist. Usually, the venue will *sell* the rights to film back to the artist.

  • Yeah I suppose we did.... I didnt know all that. Thanks! still good cam work brother considering you had to be all low key about it.... See you at the next show (?) GBD

  • Thanx man ;) I'm definitely planning on getting to the '09 shows, that's pretty much a given. See ya there :D

  • But yeh, after a while I noticed that security in my particular area didn't care at all. Sadly that wasn't the case for a couple of the 10x & 30x section tapers.

Rob Sheridan wrote post a while back explaining "gray area" of audience bootlegs and NIN's policy vs. the venue's and copyright holder's policies. It's quite interesting, I'll try find it.

  • Ah, here it is.. Rob's input/advice on the subject:

    forum . nin . com / bb / read.php ? 18,2426,9886 # msg-9886

(remove spaces... youtube doesn't allow posting links in comments, blech)

Rob Sheridan is NIN's photographer/art director/web designer etc.

  • The back of that guy's head was almost as entertaining as seeing them actually playing. XD

  • I was standing one seat from the center aisle, and rather paranoid of the security and ushers walking right by me taking the camera or kicking me out, so for the first half dozen or so songs I had to keep hiding the camera out of obvious view. I also didn't want to draw attention by opening the LCD screen, or looking thru the view finder, so much of the time I didn't know what was being filmed, hence the many shots of faux-hawk guy's head.
