hello there. I just got youkon nvmt4 night vision, and im not sure is he working like he should. I mean without ir light i almost see nothing!!!! there was cloudy nights no moon there. Can u see without moon, and ir light good ?
@princepersia1 sybris A gentleman an automobile. i guess at least that is what it say here at the bottom of the likes dislikes it was not the original it was switched by youtube so... ?
I ordered the Yukon SeaWolf 3x42... They are on the way to me as we speak... I too have always wanted NV and soon I will have it... Great video sir... Stay tuned for my video soon after I get mine... Its like I always say... Lets all learn from each other... Joe Tactical
I'm thinking of getting a set of those NV for UFO hunting, are they okay for the job? I blatantly cant afford any generation 3 sets but am a bit worried about blowing my cash on some gen 1's in case they arnt very good for looking at the sky. I'd be so grateful if you could give me the heads up on them.
@caponer123454321 if you plan to just look at the UFO's and not records this will can work alright. but putting a camera to the eye peace with a jig (rig, stand what ever)can work okay.
if you can turn off auto focus) and keep the NV in focus it will work. but there are some NVs with built in cameras talk to videofan88 he has one. but if you have the will to wait and save for a gen 3 it may be worth it. look through the comments to questions i have answered for more info.
@caponer123454321 Yes, they will work, I use them all the time. I was in the exact same boat as you and I am very pleased with them. Plus Yukon has always been an easy company to deal with if you have problems and the product is registered.
@SEETER1 I have read some where that some are wanting to turn to white phosphor screens they say sharper image. but I think at this point it is more a personal preference. I dont remember where i read that perhaps try to do a search on it 9withe posphate screen on nightvision or something like that) but i personally dont really know which but i have only used green. hope this help
Ich habe auch vor mir so ein (Yukon) Nachtsichtgerät zu kaufen. Bist du mit deinem zufrieden ? Was kostet so eine CR123A Batterie ?

I hope my german was not to bad and hope i was able to answer your questions
@AdaraLove I used my hands to attach to camera(but you could MacGyver something or buy the adaptor that the company sales)and I used a pv-gs320 Panasonic camera
@ewigkase1 can your monocular be mounted on a rifle? if so what kind of mount? can the NV monocular also be used during daylight if the device is off just for the 4X magnification as a regular scope?
@eduardomjan1973 you can only use these for night time because if you use in the daytime you will damage the tube , and even in the night if you let in too much light you will still damage the tube , BUT if you get a digital version you can use day or night with no damage at all.
cr123a 3.0v li-ion I suggest getting rechargeable RCR123A batteries because they get costly the one time use batteries. there are also known as camera(photo) batteries? hope that helps
Night vision scopes can excede £20,000, theres no point in buying one for less than £600. my mate bought a night vision for £300 and thought he was an sas sniper, turns out he fired 3 shots at a large dark object near a shrub and it turned out to be a mole hill.....you get what you pay for!!!
if most of your siting are in a far distance then I geuss it will work fine but if you have to go back and forth from a couple houses to a mile away then it can be trouble specially with auto focus. so it is great for stars and distance. also you need to either buy or make an adapter to have it to your camera. basically away to hold the NV to the lens of the camera.
no , ill be only looking at the stars with them , what do the stars look like threw yours are they faint , or are they bright and how many stars? just the ones you can see with your eyes? or the faint ones too, because the monoculer i showed you on ebay is almost the same thing, im probly going to get them
I'm thinking of getting a set of those NV for UFO hunting, are they okay for the job? I blatantly cant afford any generation 3 sets but am a bit worried about blowing my cash on some gen 1's in case they arnt very good for looking at the sky / stars. if you can get a camera that has infinite focus and high optical of 30X or more. infinite focus(inf focus everything is in focus) is great and is i hate auto focus causes more problems then solves. sadly there i dont think most cameras have this infinite focus. these features will help with using the night vision use.
hey thanks man i was really iffy about those yukon optics because my dad said that if it is that cheap its gotta be a peace of junk because theones he and his boys use in iraq are like 5 to 6 grand. im gonna get one of these and use it for deer hunting no joke! thanks again
With all these kids running around with the "Night Vision" from Call of duty it won't be an different than if they all used flashlights. I'm gonna look outside and see a dozen kids hiding in the bushes giving away their hiding spot.
I believe I have seem them before they were included with COD, They are a toy, goes for like 60 i think, probably wrong. But def. under $100. So yeah... I doubt it
Nope those are kinda like toys I was gonna get it since I do alot of astrononomy so I needed one to see the stars better but those from call of duty are toys so I wont be getting them! they are cool looking but its a toy this however in the video are not so much of toys! They are great and I beileve u can see in real darkness!
uhhhhhh.... focus? i was hopin the x50 meant better peripheral than the 1x24 but i see that it really isn'tmuch better. i would sell mine if i could get 200 bones but i doubt that
This is a lot worse quality and more limited than the video, but: If you want cheap night vision just for fun take some infra-red LED lights (radio shack) and replace the ones in an LED flashlight with them, then take any digital video camera and shine the light in front of it. Small range and a bit of work, but it's pretty easy and fun. Cool video.
wonted to it is the many reason I got the thing but bythe time I had the thing they stopped showing up at least the really good ones I have not seen a good UFO for 2 years now :( but i can Imagen I could have filmed some good stuff with it.
there is an adapter for it to have on the camera also I suggest if use with a camera is the many idea get a smaller lens then the 4x50mm. I found it hard in ways will using a camera

For recording you better take the Yukon
Digital nightvision (5x zoom),
no Tube burn-out, even daylight use OK.
Excellent view, everything is sharp
compared to the chemical green NV devices.
