I honestly have to agree with 04nevermind. Dave Grohl is one hell of a drummer, and to be self-taught in guitar, piano and drums like he is, is certainly an accomplishment. Grohl is a true artist from lyrics to notes. Gerard has written some decent poppy stuff, but only for those of the shallow mind and with a herd-like attitude with life. You want to listen to something deep, listen to "Stranger Things Have Happened" or "See You".
