  • .... he fails to mential all the teachers need guns and guns among adults is a good thing for prevention

  • this is why this show kicks butt. its clever and it teaches kids what to do in real life situations. now a days we have retarded shows that tell kids to eat candy till they get fat, act moronic to be funny, and do just the most dumbest things to look cool. Flapjack, Adventure time, and other shows like this are in my opinion brain mushers. Bring back the good old shows like this one.

  • @SFXBOXRANGER exactly what i was thinking haha

  • Static shock was thinking of bullying today when they made this

  • I'm glad there are actually some shows out there that talk about this stuff. I must though that I don't hate guns. I think they are good for recreation (in a safe environment) and for personal protection (because we live in a crazy world) but I agree that no kid should have access to a gun. I also want to comment on bullying. I thought I heard someone say that they hate bullies. I just want to say that usually bullies are bullies because they feel like that's the only way to make themselves lik

  • @silverguy11 i know staic shock was amazing

  • LOL he bitched up real quick, i loved this show man they need to remake this.

  • @FANGTHELASTWOLF right this show is is killer

  • This reminds me of Columbine, and the shooting Monday in Ohio.

  • @HollowAxer Amen!

  • this could of been avoided if nick would of told jimmy he was sorry or frieda could of just gave jimmy some ass.

  • so that's his dad..... no wonder why he needs a gun

  • Why are they still legal in ameruca anyway!? Whos idea was that?

  • Guns don't kill people.

    Bullets do.

  • @koshindan But the one's that make the bullets fly is the one that kills them. You're but : Guns don't kill people. People kills people!

  • Guns cause more harm than good. The only people who support guns are mentally unstable people that think somebodies going to break into their house at any minute.

  • I want to take all the bullies in the world and make them watch this. I understand poor Jimmy

i was picked on alot, made fun of, and get beaten after school. I thought boys are not aloud to hit girls. But i was wrong....If Jimmy was real and we went to the same school i would be his friend because i understand the pain he was in and we both can talk about it. I didnt do anything i was just different. I would never become a bully why would I?

  • Something else to point out, YOU DO NOT RUSH A DISTRAUGHT PERSON HOLDING A GUN!

  • LEEEERRRRROOOOOOOOYYYY JENKINS!

  • Kids; sometimes when Bullies take it too far their victims can snap and become violent.

Moral lesson: bully is a two sided blade. if you bully someone you are hurting them, and yourself. So don't be a bully.

  • @9foxgrl15 That's exactly what others are saying and what I'm saying. We need more mature people like you my friend. God bless you!

  • ...5:40 FAT ALBERT !

  • yknow, if static did a "take home message" at the end of each episode, it may have helped get some message across to kids.

this show had a lot of useful themes and stereotypes that kids should know.

  • Lessons of episode 24: Kids don't bully it's wrong and bad situations could come out of it! 2:35 - 3:17

  • i like the message and everything but instead of preaching gun abstinence preach gun safety the less a kid knows the more dangerous the gun that he can get a hold of

  • This episode was short but it really had a powerful message

  • Static's message at the end was surprisingly not corny =D nice delivery.

  • Nick's Father: My son is a ungrateful little shit.

  • nick picked on jimmy a few times and jimmy is going to kill nick with a gun, that's karma, and karma's a bitch

  • why did they change amazing cartoons that taught kids lessons like this one to stupid shows with lame jokes made by people tripping on acid?

  • OMG!!!! People die from GUNS??? I never new that :o Static, knowing is half the fight

  • uhhh the end message should of involved bullying 2

    just sayin

  • im so confused, yada yada yada, and worst of all i think im in love with richie

  • the therapist sounds like one of those nuts that try to make guns illegal

  • @Gormagon510 how? a bullet doesn't give a shit who its going for thats a straight up fact. this episode taught that guns aren't toys and good guys/bad guys are both at risk when it comes to them.

  • interesting how richie was clearly the one who got shot but you dont see any trace of a bullet who. Talk about censored. I figured as much though. Its a kids show after all.

  • Unlike all the ridiculous cartoons of today static shock teaches us values and responsibility

  • richie i used to hang out with static shock but then i took a bullet to the knee

  • I hate bulling poor jimmy

  • was he shot i didnt see anything

  • I'd like to see a cartoon nowadays that has the balls to confront this kind of issue

  • I have to admit...... This is the first cartoon to bring me to tears over an issue. It's cool how they show everyone's point of view, normally it's just an outsiders, but here it's actually showing the person whos being bullied, the person whos barely part and hurt, and how it doesn't just happen overnight.

  • This was one of my favorite episodes. I love how this show actually relates to the real world and how it tries to teach us.

  • I had such an uptight high school that if you even brought a picture of a gun they'd flip out.

  • A kid brought a gun to my school about a month ago, he was seen with it, and was removed from the school grounds before school started, he never intended to even take it, he was just transporting it, and oh boy do I hope that never happens again.

  • Thats the only way to take care of a bully. Im just sayin

  • the girl took off her glasses so many times

  • bullies don't seem to undertand what goes on in our minds. you drive use insane to the point where we want to kill you..literally.

  • when I was in jr high school..I brought a knife to school.....for the same reason..I know what this feels like......

  • that's one way to take care of a bully

  • That fat student in the end, should grab those 2 jerks' heads and smash them together.

  • This is like that episode from Degrassi

  • @201220005 the one where jimmy(drake) gets shot?

  • @FreezerFlasher yeah

  • This episode made me glad to be british guns are illegal and not a common thing to own....i've only ever shot a shotgun at a clay pigeon shoot and i'm glad we don't ever have to worry about kids bringing them to schools....k we do have a knife problem but it's better then a gun problem

  • What I don't get is why Frita even sorta likes this guy who's openly an asshole.

  • @naddestroyer unfortunately girls seem to like assholes

  • @ptptptman Yep, even when they tell you to your face they want a nice guy they start dating the asshole. I'll never understand women.

  • i lmao when richi got shot!XD i know its wrong but idk i thought it was funny...hmmm somethings really wrong with me:P

  • Thank you Static

  • This redefines an arrow to the knee.

  • @theknightswhosayfrak not funny, not funny at all

  • bully:"whats that?"

    Jimmy : "a gun"

    me: face palm

  • I hate Guns !! Really i do!

  • Nick's Father: I don't have a son.

  • @jacobbbbba What are u racist

  • How retarded are these kids I mean jumping the guy with the gun

  • this sends out such an important message

  • I love how he asks 'what where you thinking keeping a gun in the house where a kid can get it!' Did he realize that kid was a freshman in HS? Plenty old enough where the dad should have taught the kid to use the gun incase of an emergency.

  • I'm just thankful my "Nick" graduated. One more time of seeing him, I would've totally lashed out to kill.

  • Lemme rephrase: What kind of job does Jimmy's dad have that requires the use of a gun?

  • @GhostPlanetFilms Does it matter? I'm pretty sure all this is taking place in the US, you know we have a right to own a gun to defend our homes. Expecially now. You know home invasions are on the rise? And you know that those crooks use illigal guns. If I can save my family by shooting a criminal so be it.

  • @pcgamernum1 I couldn't agree more! I mean, I wouldn't try to kill them with a gun. If I could, I'd shoot 'em in the foot, ankle, leg, or arm somewhere. Just a non-fatal area.

  • @GhostPlanetFilms Agreed if possible. They teech you to aim center mass because in most cases you don't have much time to think about it. Better to get a hit and kill than a miss to injure when you're life is in danger.

  • Comment removed

  • how many times is that lady going to takeoff his glasses

  • this episode made me feel sympathetical

  • why would you try to beat someone up that has a gun

  • @Blackcomedy100 I'll tell you at my tenth highschool reunion. :D

  • If for no other reason shows like this should be remembered because they taught people something instead of half an hour wasted on absurdities.

  • white people always make things worse.

  • I hate bullies and guns but what i hate the most is bullies dont get in truoble

  • Bullies shall suffered for what they've done.

  • :/ Gotta learn.

    No bullies.

No guns. xD This show was really good for kids to watch. Taught them lessons.

  • @RawrCutie101 Actually I watched this show when I was a young teenager and I liked everything about this show except the "gay little lessons" that I made a concerted effort to ignore because TV isn't supposed to be educational, unless it's Bill Nye or something I watch specifically to learn.

Kids DON'T get taught lessons, generally I found them lame... really lame.

  • @LaoGahn Interesting. I suppose that is just how you view it then huh? I honestly think shows that are nothing but stupid people doing pointless things are, pointless.

Just my thoughts on it. I like shows to have a little meaning in them. Guess that is just how i am.

  • @RawrCutie101 Eh, I'm not saying that pointless shows aren't dumb, but I am saying that kids are fairly unlikely to learn from shows. I felt it was lame and everyone I knew thought they were lame. Kids don't think the same as an adult.

I don't mind shows with meaning now, but I didn't think they were in any way "cool" a few years ago.

Honestly I prefer books and shows that are specifically meant to be educational to have meaning, personal preference. Not so big on overlap though.

  • @LaoGahn You have a really good point there. I guess I never thought of it that way. I suppose when i was younger I Never thought of this show as being something that was teaching me things until i got a little older.

So yeah, I guess kids won't find the lessons in shows. More from being in school or whatever.

Yes, I agree on that. Books are good ways to learn something. Unless they are kind of pointless in themselves.

  • @LaoGahn I watched this when I was a kid, too, and I didn't ignore the lessons. On the other hand, I do remember seeing this episode and being scared by the whole gun thing.

  • i remeber i used to be scared to watch this episode but it's easier because i see guns and here gun shots almost everyday now

  • I know I've been posting too many comments but WOW WOW WOW WOW WOOOWWW that was a good episode! The ending is like a Captain Planet or Jem cartoon, though.

  • @Technus Afraid so.

  • @xma456 AND he's voiced by Phil LaMarr!

  • @superdan294 So do I. And I'm gobsmacked, too. I've never seen Richard Horvitz pull off such a powerful voice performance.

  • @101388ejd Ditto- in Primary School! In England!

  • This is one of Richard Horvitz's best voice performances ever!

  • Kids next time someone bullies you punch them in the face

  • @midnightswordsclan

wow.. u really wouldnt care if ur kid bullied someone? shows how good of a parent u are. i dont let myself get bullied.. specially since i have some anger management issues. but if my kid bullied anyone hed for sure get a whooping to know what it feels like.

  • well sorry static everything that u said at the end mostly likey doubled

  • Nick’s Father: I told you not to hang out with your no good friends, they’re the bad influence. Now you got a bigger problem, because you’re suspended from school due to your bullying with Jimmy. When you become older, I want you pack your things and leave this house. I don’t want to see your face anymore.

  • @depthruins2k39 no, jimmy was a little bitch, if you can not fight you deserve to be bullies. If my kid was bullying someone, I wouldn't care, if the kid hated it so much he should of fought back.

  • @Midnightswordsclan When I was in school, I get mad and confront the bully who pushed me too far. Then we get in the fight and the principal stopped us. He knew that I got problems, so he gave me couple days in campus, and the jerk got a week in detention. After the incident, every student were afraid of me but I don't care about that.

  • @Midnightswordsclan Right, because all men are created equally muscleheaded and moronic.

  • hmmmm hes shot but no wound....now thats an interesting combination -_-

  • @darkenedangelwings4 well its a kids show i dont think they wanna show a guy with a hole in his leg bleeding out on the floor

  • @Imsoobored101 i know :P just stating it for fun lol

  • Always some crazy white boy shooting up the school yeah i said it

  • @Mattraction513 it's true every school shootings have been white people. You have never heard of a black or mexican kid going all postal in a school

  • @Midnightswordsclan Hell yeah black kids shoot up the block white kids shoot up the school

  • @Mattraction513 That's racist against Blacks AND racist against Whites.

  • @TheLadyWhoLunches Im only joking

  • @Mattraction513 I'm really sorry; I saw that out of context.

  • @TheLadyWhoLunches No problem

  • The dad must have thought that as long as he keeps the gun locked up, nothing will go wrong, but a smarter option would have been to buy the gun while Jimmy was in school, lock it up and not tell him about it or just be a responsible father and not get a goddamn gun!

  • @Zack91974 He bought the gun for protection. The constitution, though outdated, allows the family man to bare arms however the law doesn't allow you to use it. It's a tool of protection and protection alone. It's debatable whether it's responsible to not get it or to get it for protection. Either way you're right. The child shouldn't have known and the key should be somewhere hidden. Not on a keyring to the house.

They aren't toys and more programming like this should explain that.

  • This is a hard episode to watch, bad high school memories.

  • Reminds me of a book I read for school called 19 Minutes... The book changed me

  • @mrkaminsky1 Good reference. But that book is lot more violent lol

  • @Amdragfan2 Couldnt agree more

  • they make it sound like 4000 is a lot in the world.

  • "Maybe everyone learned a lesson from all this" Silly Richie , People History, religion, school will tell you people learn nothing

  • i use to have the same propblem from 2nd grade to 8th grade this happened untill i started showing them i wouldent tolerated it any more. if i had'nt told the people in charge I would have gone berzerk on them on and I am no week kid, Who knows what i could have done to them with out a gun and I not that bad of a marksmen eather.

  • 4:57 - What did you have to say about yourself?

  • If yaul bullies, dweebs and twurps out there are reading this message, yaul better cutt that "yo mama stuff out" and all dat "bullying shit out" ppl these days will kill over that kind of stuff

  • Comment removed

  • @chelsgirl66 Same here

  • What is this a freaking public service announcement?

  • Hell no static! Jk

  • Every school should have security cameras installed and guards around campus.

    No bullying and cheating

  • @pixieperfect567 its a cartoon retard it aint real lol

  • @doggypower1 its funny how some retards try to connect fantasy with reality lmao

  • @hiwo91 One person's fantasy is another person's reality.

  • @TheLadyWhoLunches thats retarded shutup

  • @hiwo91 What I mean is, yes, this is just a show, but if you look past the superheroes, you can apply it to your own life. It's a sad fact, but kids do bring guns to school in real life.

  • Once you guys are done watching this episode listen and watch the music video 99 ways to die by Megadeth

  • This is my most favorite episode in the whole Static Shock series.

  • Oh it hurts its not lik on TV "advice to all the wannabe gangstas"

  • From part 1 -

About Nick, "Best Personality" my ass. Should have demanded a recount, seriously.

  • Whipped that gun out like a straight up "G"

  • I can't believe how emotionally weak people are

  • This is so bias. I don't see why people need counseling after such a minor incident. I don't see why humans are so self destructive. "How can you keep a gun that a kid can get to?" completely retarded statement. Counseling, brainwashing and unnecessary. Bullies, weak and brainless ego seeking parasites. The bullied, too emotional too weak and too unintelligent to realize what they can do. Police, law and order keep us from performing real justice, retaliating shouldn't be a crime.

  • @spinalglacier A minor incedent? Are you kidding? wouldn't you be distraught if your best friend got shot by another freind of yours.

  • @spinalglacier

    >retaliating shouldn't be a crime

So basically you're OK with more Columbine-esque shootings happening in schools without anyone doing anything to stop it? Great logic there bro.

  • @spinalglacier MINOR??? most people are paralyzed just for SEEING a gun, imagine you were just there in first row....and the person shock was someone very dear to you....and don't come with the very poor excuse you wouldn't enter in shock too...fear is self defense and is not to be ashamed of....AT ALL...

  • @spinalglacier and lemme guess your so superior right?

  • @spinalglacier

My response part to you 1:

I can see where you're coming from to a point. But either constantly bottling up your feelings inside, or constantly demanding others do the same, is dysfunctional if that's your ONLY strategy.

I admit your strategy gives you much better armor against life's hardships, but it also protects you against real friendships, or compassion, or the more positive relationships in life that DO require you to risk being "hurt," or risk exposing vulnerability.

  • My response part to you 2:

Of course it's biased. Everyone in the entire world is biased in favor of something-or-other.

Furthermore, I agree UP TO A POINT that retaliating shouldn't be a crime, but that depends on what method you choose to retaliate.

What happens if your retaliation is disproportionate to the actual offense? Someone punches you in the face, so you grab a gun and shoot them? Why not simply punch them right back?

And you risk setting up a "cycle of revenge" that NEVER ENDS.

  • @MartialArtsMaster If he shot that guy, GOOD. Sorry but good riddance. If it causes the cycle of revenge, well the dude shouldn't have oppressed him in the first place. People can choose to continue to participate in the cycle or to get out of it. Very much like how it's technically all on him to decide whether he should pull the trigger or not. Who ever wants to avenge the dead bully CHOSE to continue the cycle of revenge and NOT the kid who shot the bully because they are ALL PARTICIPANTS.

  • @MartialArtsMaster For every action there's a reaction. I understand that. But even when people avoid bothering others, they still get hurt because people hate difference. People are intolerant. People like to oppress those who are different. I think oppressors should die. I think they should be oppressed for oppressing others in the first place. I think self defense is ay okay. That doesn't mean I think a farmer should shoot a guy for accidentally walking onto his property.

  • I value human emotions more than I value human life because we are all going to die. We know what happens. You live, you feel you die. To me, what matters is HOW we live. If someone is suffering I want them to stop suffering. If a bully is bullying because he's suffering in the first place, heck I'll help him out too. But if it's just an all around sociopath who bullies people because he/she ENJOYS it well who needs this parasite?

  • Nah jk, I think humans are a hopeless cause and we're all always going to kill each other over tiny things or big fake political things. WOOT cops, soldiers, bullies, nazis, hitmen! They all exist baby! And I met them all! People suck! Oppressors will continue to exist in this flawed society where one has to step on others to get up to a high pedestal in the first place. Coal miners, child laborers, suicidal factory workers, do we think about them? No cuz we're hopeless so lets die

  • @spinalglacier Wow... that is really dark... it's sad to say that a lot of it is true...

Still think you're an emo asshole, though. This world may not be perfect, but it's all we got. Why not try to make it better? Better than giving up and waiting for death, that's for damn sure.

  • @00411392 Hahaha, and what are YOU going to do? Be a cop? Be a politician? Or are you going to be a real ass nigga and break some nazi skulls with a baseball bat? Either way, you'll be hurting people who don't deserve it whether you mean to or not. I suggest being an activist. I suggest looking up Anarchy, looking at yourself and thinking about whether you actually care about other people and animals at all.

  • @spinalglacier "Hurting people who don't deserve it" - The Nazis murdered over 11 million innocent people in cold.

  • @TheLadyWhoLunches You aren't understanding what I'm saying. No matter what you do. Whether you want to kill nazis for the rest of your life (nazis which probably have nothing to do with the holocaust because this is a completely different generation), become a cop, lawyer, politician or even a cashier at Mobil, you will hurt people you don't mean to hurt. The money you handle is tied to every blood spilt for it to continue circulating. Everything we use and buy is made by overworked humans

  • @spinalglacier Sorry, I can't say EVERYTHING is made by suffering but a lot the luxuries we use are.

  • @spinalglacier I don't know of any Nazis who are not murderers or very close to it, but you're right; I did not understand your comment, and I apologize. Your view is very cynical, however. I'm not saying it's bad, but a cop saves more people than he hurts. Yes, we all hurt people, and it's unfortunate, but we should do what we can to be kind to others. If enough people did that, the world would be a much better place.

I like your activist suggestion :)

  • @00411392 Well-said! Don't listen to that response you got. All great people have to deal with crap like that. Your words ring true. You should be proud of yourself. I'm proud of you, and I don't even know you! Kudos to you for trying to make the world a better place.

  • You know this show wasn't great but this show can take on certain issues that not a whole lot of kid shows could do.

  • jackass: im sorry

    jimmy: no your not

    lol

  • i wanna feel all sad and stuff but i cant i mean look at the Top Comments

    its just so damn funny

  • I like the ending where V learns to help people who are builled. that was sweet. and NO i'm not gay for saying that.

  • those kids are STUPID! jimmy puts down the gun and attacks them. dumb dumb

    dumb dumb DUMB!

  • that episode sucked

  • wow big deal, he got shot in the leg, and virgil is freaking out like he got his face blown off

  • @donhale1

If Virgil hadn't responded to Richie being shot in the leg with at least a minimum of concern for his friend's well-being, I would have scarcely classified Virgil as a "friend."

To give you the benefit of the doubt, however, I'll assume that instead of being insensitive, you're arguing from personal experience, as though you see incidents like that all the time for some reason.

In areas where shootings aren't common, however, someone being shot in the leg IS a big deal.

  • @MartialArtsMaster HAHAHAH u would be right if this wasnt a town where bang babys and mutants run things ,,, sooooooooooo....maybe u should leave ur culdesac

  • oh my freakin god what is those two guy's problem?!?!?!?!?! He was lowering the gun and they just went and atttacked him?!?!?! SOOOOOOO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pixieperfect567 yeah, all the bullies i kno wouldve tried to be his friend after tht, make him feel accepted
