Clooney, i just ordered that same hood for my black 05 GT. But i am going crazy trying to decide if i want to put hood pins on it. I really dont like the look of hood pins, but they seem to be recommended for fiberglass hoods, on every mustang forum im on. Did you get hood pins after this vid, or does your hood raise or shake at high speeds above 70mph? Are you having any issues without hood pins yet?

@JDcat26 yeah i had to get them since i travel interstate all the time. it did shake at high speeds as well.

Where did you get it painted for that cheap? I've been checking around and people are quoting huge numbers to prep and paint the Trufiber Venom (GT500 version).

@dadecounty305pimp had to buy a relocation kit, and it puts the nozzles on the windshield wipers. I actually wish they were stock made like that.

@clooney531 I bought this hood but didn't wanna pay for a relocation kit. Just get two nozzles from the back end of an exploer, (arm clip type). then get a T that's 3/16''. 1/8'', and 1/8'' then just run under the cowl, and run 1/8'' hose trough the arm's holes, and you can either zip tie or silocone the tube to the bottom. cost me less then $5 and works GREAT!

Just curious is this KI3Ts hood from the show,cuz Ive been hearing you have install the Shelby bumper before you can put the hood on,a lil confused?

@theawddrifter its not a replica hood but it was the closest one I could find that resembled the KITT hood from the show. But this is an aftermarket hood from trufiber com and is called a GTS-IV hood and fits on V6-GT front bumpers. So this aided me into not spending money that I really should have to. The hood I believe is 600 without it being painted and then added shipping.

The only problem is I live outside the US and the Trufiber website needs US shipping/billing address to be the same...but theres some other sites which sell it so I'll look around...have you seen the SMS Techco Butterfly hood? Now THAT's a hood...

Unfortunately mines only a 6er but I'm proud of it's daily use. I have the hood, borla exhaust, sequential tail lights, cold air intake, and some other non spec mods like rims, red brake covers shorty antenna and smoked turned signals.

Dude I love this hood, I want one for my 2009 GT but cant find one with pre-drilled holes for the washer nozzles. Did yours come pre-drilled?

@Se7vinDeadlySins Unfortunately they dont come with pre-drilled washer nozzles. What I did was buy a relocation kit for the washers which actually put them on the windshield wipers. Ill send you a post when i can find the exact site i got them from. Thx for the compliment as well.

@Se7vinDeadlySins Ok what its called is a CDC Squirter Nozzle relocation kit. if you search that then you'll get some sites. youtube doesnt let me post a precise link for some reason but i got mine from latemodelrestoration . com

@Se7vinDeadlySins hey i looked and I liked. I would recommend that you join the BMC, black mustang club, forums but the site is down temporarily. also i saw that you have a strut tower. If you are ordering the same hood i have from trufiber.. I'd ask if the hood will fit with that on there. cause its a tight fight on my stang with no tower.

You make a good point about the strut tower bar. Is your hood recessed downtowards the engine, or is it more like it is concave? I have found one that is concave and it looks like it will fit, but u r right I should ask 1st. I'm glad u like my stang (Thanks).
