i got pulled over for no insurance..on vehicle,i had a traders policy,i choose to go to court, so i do,and the judge says, yes sir you have insurance,so im thinking fucking hav that, and then?and get this. get £110 fine for wasting the clerical assistants time at the police station? wtf??? i dint even go to the nick?im hard working british born and bred,thinking about changing it, FAST,fuck the system. they do to us

I said he was not in ountry as he wasn't, so they said no worries send in your licence with a cheque so we can see you're clean then we will re issue the ticket under your name for the workshop... do as im told, counterpart comes bak slapped with 3 points.. rang then up they had denied everything and threw away my registered letter explaining the situation ....
@lilgreenfingerpuppet A 'workshop' cannot be 'given' to the owner - the s172 requirement has to be fulfilled before anything can happen, in other words who was driving has to be established?
If you were offered a 'workshop' then why did you need to send in your licence?

i was told by the call centre guys to send in my licence and a letter confirming that i was the one driving as the owner was out of the country at the time of the "offence" and also past the 25 days so it had to be claimed. They told me to send it in so they would see that it was my first time send it back and then reissue the ticket under my name but instead i got points ... and no explanation as to why as i thought it was merely to check..
she told me to send in a check addressed to the HMCS which i did as i obv didn't read the form but it's the principle that pissed me off.. i had to send it in as the ticket was in the onwers name and addressed to them
The original NIP was addressed to the registered keeper & you opened it? You live at the same address & open other people's mail? Had you ignored it, he would have got 6 points & a large fine for failure to supply - you would have simply not featured on anyone's radar.
i knew i had been caught so i opened it as i was just over the limit so i just took all responsibiltiy and ye i live at the same address... the matter is settled now i just have to live with the points. I was never going to ignore it as i knew it had to be dealt with. the fact of the matter was, was that the owner wasn't back after the 25 day period so it had to be claimed so i am a law abiding citizen and did the right thing. They screwed up in the office
i was doing 38 in a 30 but there was a two lane road at some lights (red) and it became one so i was at lights and next to me was a high sided lorry to my left hiding behind that was mobile camera van covered by the lorry as the lorry started to move off i put my sped up to get in front of it before i got squashed and ran out of road before the two lanes become one (about 10metres) i went on to gain some distance between him n me and slowed dwn to 30 again
@lilgreenfingerpuppet You cant break the speed limit just to get infront of a slow truck. You shouldnt have to speed to get past a slow truck stopped at the lights. That said, you can't expect the DVLA to care, its setup to make it difficult to challange a fine.
