Def not a sport model. all 2010's come with that manual shift gate on the shifter. You can get the SE's in AWD too. And LOL at "not the punch of the camry." Your driving a family sedan, not a racecar. If speed is a main concern, buy a camaro or mustang.
@transamman305 Only the SEL and Sport offer AWD. You can tell this car in the video is not an SEL since this one lacks some of the SEL's standard creature comforts, such as dual zone automatic climate control. You can also see the the speaker in the top center of the dash, designating Sony Audio, which is unavailable on the SE. If you were to build a 2011 or 2012 equivalent of this particular car on Ford's website, it would be an AWD Fusion Sport with only the Moon & Tune Package (401A).
Camaros handle like ass in the snowbelt. If there's snow on the road for 6 months out of the year, a Fusion AWD 3.5L is one of the fastest cars that mere mortals can afford.
@fubecabr "Good handling" and "snow" should not be in the same sentence together. Nothing really handles good in the snow...some cars just drive better than others in it. But I get what your saying. I got stuck driving a trans am in the snow one year. Surprised I'm still living to tell about it!
I am just wondering what kind of Toyota you are comparing this to. I currently have a Camry V6 and have been out looking at a few different cars lately, a Malibu V6, Fusion V6, Avenger V6 and none of them have the acceleration that my Camry does. The Fusion is a sportier looking car but I have driven my Camry to the lot, driven a Fusion and then got back in my Camry and I know the Camry is faster. The sport I am looking at has the 402A package which gives it all the things yours is missing.
@stubbyk86 Absolutely, this one is indeed a Sport. You can tell it's a V6 from the manual shift gate in the shift pattern, and from the video, you can tell that it's a Sport by the piano black trim around the gear shift, and of course the sound of the engine at 3:48. This was a Sport AWD in Sport Blue with black interior with the Moon & Tune package, which is designated by the Sony on the speakers in the top corner of the door as well as the speaker on top of the dash near the windshield.
I have this car. I love it. I get lots of looks. Its fast. Faster then my friends WRX and brothers Rx8. I could only imagine if it had an extra $15000 for an SHO.
i know awd will add weight an drop hp and torque numbers to the wheels but ill take extra traction any day,,i test drove both cars myself, the awd fusion sport and the fwd models, yes the fwd pulled harder but had a hard time hooking up.as far as comparing the fusion the camry, the camry is aimed more to a family sedan with sum sport hip to it so ovcourse its gonna be bigger, ill still take the fusion any day
the camry isnt even in the same class...the fusion sport is way faster any way. add bout 300pds for the awd. toyota is gay! and ugly.most people look at people who drive a toyota, like there douche bags. your not even driveing the best sport. the sport does 0-60 in less than 6 sec. its smaller cuz it is. mid size- full size. well said mr ryan. no way the cam is faster than te fusion sport. i hate people like this. so critical of american cars. theres no convincing these anti ford people. go ford
@97shobra I have driven both cars recently and the Camry V6 is faster. The Camry and Fusion are in the same class, midsize sedan. The next step down would be Focus/Corolla and a step up would be Taurus/Avalon. I am not a "anti ford" person, I am probably going to go buy this Fusion in a few days, I really like the car but it is not faster than my Camry.
@dragstar7039 Actually the annoying sound was the little wrist strap smacking the camera itself and I got some scotch tape to do the trick after I noticed this problem with my videos.
The only US brand car I've driven extensively would be Ford (About 7 years) before switching to Toyota (The second of only two brands I've driven extensively).
I dont understand why everybody slams their compartments doors in a car, also their doors. Its not needed dude. that's is why used cars are shit, nobody takes care of the cars and slams doors and hit buttons, instead of pushing them.
@JuanCarlosNieves This annoys me! I have a 96 vw jetta that I recently had some custom door handles installed and the internals replaced. It now closes and opens buttery smooth as if it was new. My girlfriend reefs on the handle and slams the door. It's a good thing I rarely drive it let a lone carry passengers.
the 3.5 is smooth and the engine is more isolated then the camry so the slightly harsher camry makes you think theres more POWERRRR i love fords new sony sound systems and the fusion has some sporting qualitys that i love
I just got a 2010 Ford Fusion yesterday and believe me I'm impressed. The sound system, the smooth ride feeling, all of it is a beautiful thing. But it's new so who knows waht will happen in the future.
The AWD 2010 costs about 28k that gives you 263 HP and 250torque.. only competitor I can think of is the Subaru Legacy with 265HP engine that about the same money. Ford reallly outdid themselves this time. Both have same fuel conception and what not, I think FORD looks better, as well the SYNC system is really neat. Bravo FORD. I want one :D
@wongmylesa yes, i have. ive driven many. ive probably owned & re-built more cars than you've ever driven. even tho i dont like that engine, that "pathetic" lincoln is a better car than any honda or acura in the same class.
I love my 2010 Sport. I have the FWD one, but if you have the money, I'd go AWD. The FWD spins like crazy if you smash the gas. I've got videos on here to prove it.
First of all I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport AWD...... And it is Amazing! The first thing i wanna address is the whole FWD and AWD....yes it normally drives in FWD ..... Floor that Car... most the power is coming from the REAR wheels. Sport isnt just power. I have NAV, Blind Spot Monitoring, and a Rear view camera .. The car you were driving had NO OPTIONS. They make the sport affordable for a younger crowd but can be LOADED
This one in the video has the 401A package, which is moonroof and Sony audio. My dad was driving, and he just thought the AWD system made the car feel heavy, which he didn't like. Then I drove a FWD sport, and he said he could feel a difference even in the passenger seat. I think part of it is the steering feel, because his V6 2007 Camry SE is as fast as this Fusion, but the Camry has NO STEERING FEEL, which the Fusion does... he probably just wasn't used to it for the 15 minute Fusion drive.
@MrRyan0258 even fully loaded these things are affordable. I bought a 2010 AWD sport fully loaded for 29 grand including taxes. It was on sale as it was the showroom car. In my opinion it's the best bang for the buck. It's not possible to find a comparable car at this price. The navigation is amazing, by far the best oem system. Sony did a great job
I've driven the 3.0L AWD Fusion SEL as a rental car in Alaska on several occasions in the worst conditions and thought it was amazing. Its AWD system wasn't as good as a Subaru, but it was close and still good. But its styling and ergonomics beat the shit out of Subarus. Unless you go with the STI, the 3.5L is probably faster than any of the Subarus too.
I'm planning on buying my first NEW car, Fusion Sport AWD, after my DoD clearance goes through.

Maybe i get some thumbs down, but FUCK its my opinion, if i like more Honda or Toyota its my problem!!
Yeah but actually the AWD wasn't what my dad thought it would be. He said the car felt really heavy, but then we drove a FWD sport and he thought it felt completely different, more like his Camry SE
I have a Tour video of this vehicle (Not the best) but it shows every feature in the car. I will do another video very soon.
TheYoungCarReviewer 1 month ago
its a sport model, 5:53 the shifter is shown, notice the +/-. all other models have the thumb button, not the gate which is specific to the manumatic.
can also tell by the grey trim its a black on black leather interior. colored inserts have same color trim (red / blue).
and the color is electric blue metallic, not the off the wall color stated.

gearhead291 1 year ago
@gearhead291 Uh I have a J30 with an intake. It's not course. It's growly.
Jseries engines are really refined. It's coarse because ford does not do a good job refining their motors.

@wongmylesa Course Vs. growly, is only an opinion. to you, it;s "growly" to me its course.
gearhead291 1 year ago
@gearhead291 Thats retarded. And the thing is, You could have only made that comment while mentioning an intake.
Because the fact is, The J series engies are really refined... Quiet & Smooth.
Ford has never made smooth V6 engines.
Can you belive that ford puts a fusion engine in a Linc? Wow. That's just pathetic.
Have you ever driven a Honda or Acura V6 ? At this point I doubt it
wongmylesa 1 year ago
@wongmylesa yes, i have. ive driven many. ive probably owned & re-built more cars than you've ever driven. even tho i dont like that engine, that "pathetic" lincoln is a better car than any honda or acura in the same class.
gearhead291 1 year ago
@gearhead291 What would make you think that an MKZ with a Fusion engine is better then an Acura TL? If so then please explain how?
The TL is Faster. Has Better techfor the most part. TL has better fuel econ. The TL is larger then the MKZ.
wongmylesa 1 year ago
@wongmylesa the acura is just plain UGLY inside and out IMO.look at the grill on that thing !! im not talking about an mkz, im talking about a mks.
gearhead291 1 year ago
@gearhead291 Looks are an opinion. The J series has always had a spot on Wards Top 10...
ALL REVIEWERS HAVE SAID THAT THE TL HAS SOME OF THE GREATEST INTERIOR IN ITS CLASS...
No problem... Lets talk about MKS...
Performance wise.. The MKS is STILL SLOWER. Even with EcoBoost!! Hell The Normal TL is only 0.5 seconds slower to 60!
The ecoboost gets An avg of 5.7 0-60. Edmunds,Autoweek,Motorweek all say so!
The Acura TL 0-60 in 5.2 MT 5.3 A5. Haha, and TL is faster around the corners as well!
