@bubbles867 Do you think the new kit means a return to the specialist infantryman role of ww2 where each soldier was a specialist in a particular weapon system so that you can have depth of fire?
Do you think the fire bases in Afghan need metal storm systems as they have been seen in the past to have too few soldiers, especially because of the media focus on numbers & force concentration?
@martin50325- not that ur post was in support of the argument currently going on between bubbles and tht but tht is in a way the piont i was trying to make. Half of the guns on there arent being usaed with the regulaur army and only some with the SAS
half of the guns is pish like the barret sniper rifle cause we dnt use tht for sure and one of those veichles was not being used and is being taking into considoratuoin but not being issued so get ur bloody facts right
bubbles867- not 2 cause an argument but i no my stuff on the ground standerdly use the SA80 A2 or the GPMG, yes i no some of the kit is changing now but the fact is were not in conflict within northen ireland anymore and we didnt use the H&K weapons beside a few lucky troops and regulaur troops dont use any H&K only the SAS like u no
@Mrcheesypeanut All H&K weapons were used and were being used in Northern Ireland and Iraq by close obsxervation troops of the regular army , plus my mate was using the H&K 55 whilst in afghan in my tour , so maybe i suggest you know a little about what you're talking about.
one thing all these weapons lack is bullet proof shields to protect the users face and hands. Its all crap currently. At the moment the factories just wanna produce weapons with the minimal amount of materials to save on cost. This fact alone proves they do not give a shit about the users safety. WHat a bunch of kunts the mod really are. They don't care about life
@bubbles867 yu are right it is l85 although the Army its self refer to it as the Sa80. Im a recruit at the moment during one of my interview's i was talking about the weapons and i said l85A2 and my interviewer quickly corrected me saying its known as the SA80 mk2,not saying your wrong as yu are technically right but just the army refer to it as the SA80.
I read that the SA80 is scheduled to be replaced in a couple of years. That would be a pity because it's been made into very decent weapon over the course of time. I can't think of anything that performs so much better than the SA80A2 that it should replace it. It'll be strange to the oldtimers who had the 1st generation SA80s that soldiers are actually fighting to keep it.
Hey bubbles867 I totally agree. outypoo you are a retard full stop they are currently only issuing l85a2s to the service men in afghan and a few other side arms and the odd modified m16 to the sas as a field weapon
Is this supposed to be the British army or SAS, argue all you want but the standard issue service rifle is the L85A2 and in some case the earlier version, not alot of units carry side arms, if it gets close they charge, what have you been learning?
@Outypoo Most if not all infantry units and drivers carry side arms , the SAS is part of the British Army and as such comes into this catergory and also NO ONE use's the L85A1 that was phased out years ago.
@bubbles867 Little girl? I did not say the SAS was British army, some units use the L85A1 for training and if short even use for battle, so how about learn how to read properly and go home little boy, also "Most if not all infantry units and drivers carry side arms" where the fuck did you learn this? I think you have read a bit too much on wikipedia dickhead.
@Outypoo The L85A1 was considere dangerous for general issue in 2001 , as a result ALL A1's were converted to A2. NO A1's ARE BEING ISSUED.
And i know most infantry and drivers carry side arms as ironically i am in the British Army and due to redeploy to Afghan in April , you fucking weasel.
@bubbles867 So you're part of Herrick? good for you, and suppose what you say is true, you being in the army and whatnot, your comments are kind of childish my friend, it'd be a shame if someone fired at you from behind if you're always like this.
@bubbles867 yeh they really dont issue the A1 dont know what the hell that guys talking about :P haha im not in the military and i know that it would be stupid to issue an out of date, unreliable weapon system for use on the frontlines. Originally the army (SAS always did) didnt carry sidearms but now its more of a welcome thing. is it not?
@Outypoo Same to you about the 'Bursting your bubble'. The Army (MOD) chose to converted all L85A1s into L85A2s because the bloody thing wouldn't work in winter and in the heat of Afghanistan... So they got Heckler and Koch to redesign the weapon and fit it with gas operated feeder...etc. Same with the cadet L98A1s they got redesigned. Good day to you. I will not reply to any comments because I rarely go on my YouTube Channel
@Outypoo you said 'in some cases the earlier version' wrong...only cadets get the a1 issued as they are rubbish, in accurate and unreliable. i didnt say it was dangerous, im probably the only one on here that has actually seen active service so dont listen to these idiots. u r correct on the side arms comment though.
@adtd13 Fully agree, i got mistaken, but say they lose all l85a2s and have some A1s in stock while getting attacked, then that makes everyone else mistaken about saying they will never use it in active service.
@adtd13 i work with the army cadet force and there not useless and they dont use the a1 the use the a2 with the fire selector removed so there only semi auto
@Outypoo You do realise the L85A1 was a less useful weapon, it generally blocked/had stoppages quite frequently (although it was an improvement from the original sa80 design), and even the cadet forces have adopted it. The L85A1 is no longer AT ALL used.
@bubbles867 I really don't want to burst your bubble mate... But you can go on the British Army website and check equipment... As far as I can tell no Army personal carry sidearms (Only SAS). And the SAS is no longer counted as an Army Corps as all Servicemen from all three services can enlist to join the SAS if they want too, 3 years minimum in your chosen service is required before hand. By the way what Regiment you under. Good day gentlemen. :)
@Outypoo no one uses the A1 you stupid dick, not even army cadets use A1s anymore, its all A2 now.
not a single a1 is still being used in combat, and we do not have a problem of not having enough rifles, my school has over 100 and thats just for cadets
Im in Marine Cadets which at first sounds like a queer camping boys club , but its not , it actualy prepares you for life in the Marines. It shows you what it would be like fighting (We use L98A2 CR - almost identical to the SA80A2) And we did a 4 day war against 2 squads of 5 taliban (Actors with BFA-AK47's) And it was so hard. We had to carry full bergans with the equivillant weight a Marine would carry , We also got woken up at the crack of dawn fighting an assualt off. Respect to Marines!!!

@MrAbstractReality10 What's wrong with that anyway? Everyone knows Germany is the best gun making country in the world. It makes perfect sense to buy the best weapons doesn't it?
@nrjelley yeah no i wasnt saying that as a bad thing i was just curious is all. all the best guns come from germany and austria. i only say austria cause they make glock and those are my favorite wepons ever. mostly the glock 19

@chezzylee That is completely incorrect. Yes, you can get 'magnum' primers, but a 'magnum' firearm fires a round which has been named 'magnum' by the designer, such as .357 S&W Magnum, .375 Holland & Holland Magnum, and of course the .338 Lapua Magnum.
@chezzylee Now, as for American weapons...what, like the Italian Beretta M9 service pistol, the Belgian M240 machine gun, the Belgian M249 light machine gun, the Swedish M136 anti-tank weapon, South African M32 grenade launcher, the Swiss Sig-Sauer M11 pistol, the Swiss Sig-Sauer Mk.24 pistol, the German Hekler & Koch Mk.23 pistol...I could go on.
@MegaOllie4 Recoil is determined by the cartridge fired. Anything 12.7mm ( .50 cal ) or over you'll always see a muzzle break. Anything below doesn't require one as the recoil is managable.
I would say anything .300 Win Mag and above would require a muzzle brake to be able to fire comfortably. You can fire a .300 Win Mag without a brake but you won't do it for long.
I remember when it used to be called the SA80A2... One guy even called his, Sharon?... As you can probably guess, she played him up alot... Constant gas blockage and jamming... She used to work fine when someone else would manhandle her though!... After a while he just started calling her The Bitch... I respected my rifle though... I called it the SA80A2... I never had a single problem with mine...
@craign92 If you look under te Orbat of 3 Para, i am under the manpower of 3 Para. Its only called Guards Para when in a Guards regiment , in Paras its called 6 Plt , B Coy. You dumb fuck and oh Gaurd is spelt GUARD. Inbred cunt.
Im sorry if i dont know everything about all the weapons but i do know about the l85, i can strip an clean that lol :P, sorry i was just saying, go for the more obviouse weapons that people know, not the ones they dont, you acctually got most right, its been a while since i checked
If you wanted to avoid the constant parring from every one why didnt you just stick with the blatently obvious ones like l85, sa80 a2 LSW, and maybe l129a1,

YOU FORGOT A COUPLE like the steel toe capped boot aimed at the face or the the baton for the back of the head, or the bottle of Scotch tucked in ones uniform !
@xmoroseguyx The Bren Gun as last used prior to the 7.62mm being standerdised in NATO. It was the rechambered from .303 to 7.62mm and renamed as the LMG and last used in LIMITED service in Desert Storm
@OfficialBiscuit Bit like your statement you just made there. Unlike you i am actually in the Army so obviously i know what i'm talking about. You don't.
I believe the prob with the early SA80 types is that they patterned the weapon's operating system from the AR18. However, they used a single operating spring whereas the AR18 had two operating springs. So what Heckler & Koch did was replace the spring with a stronger spring and polish all corners. That's what I read, anyway. Personally, I feel they could have done the adjustments in Britain. Hechler and Koch's "mystique" seems to hypnotize some people.
@bubbles867 Iranian Embassy anyone? or was that not a British Army regiment doing the business? that flyfishers caught himself a right turd of a comment there.

Why does the .50 snipers all have a weird kind of flat ending at the barrel? And why don't al regular snipers have it?
MegaOllie4 8 months ago
@MegaOllie4 Its called a muzzle brake. ultimately it reduces the recoil to manageable levels so that you can shoot more accurately.
bubbles867 8 months ago
@bubbles867
Oooh, thank you! Do you as well know why not all sniper rifles have this muzzle brake?
MegaOllie4 8 months ago
@MegaOllie4 Recoil is determined by the cartridge fired. Anything 12.7mm ( .50 cal ) or over you'll always see a muzzle break. Anything below doesn't require one as the recoil is managable.
bubbles867 8 months ago
@bubbles867
Oke thank you very much!
MegaOllie4 8 months ago
@bubbles867
I would say anything .300 Win Mag and above would require a muzzle brake to be able to fire comfortably. You can fire a .300 Win Mag without a brake but you won't do it for long.

What about the FAMAS?
HandMekeysYouFuCoSkr 8 months ago

I remember when it used to be called the SA80A2... One guy even called his, Sharon?... As you can probably guess, she played him up alot... Constant gas blockage and jamming... She used to work fine when someone else would manhandle her though!... After a while he just started calling her The Bitch... I respected my rifle though... I called it the SA80A2... I never had a single problem with mine...

liamcampbellhaha 10 months ago
@liamcampbellhaha No , i got all of them right. I didn't get a single weapon wrong.
bubbles867 10 months ago
If you wanted to avoid the constant parring from every one why didnt you just stick with the blatently obvious ones like l85, sa80 a2 LSW, and maybe l129a1,
liamcampbellhaha 10 months ago
@liamcampbellhaha Well firstly , wouldn't it be better , if you actually got the weapon designations right when you quoted it yourself?!
bubbles867 10 months ago
What sources did you use cause like 80% of this is pure bullshit
liamcampbellhaha 10 months ago
@liamcampbellhaha 80% bullshit or you're talking 99% bullshit? Any L designations you can get from the MoD, try doing some research you retard.

Sa80 A2 half decant bit of kit. How ever im lazy cleaning and i got stoppage during FISH. Needless to say, i poo'd!!
TheBigrodger 1 year ago
@MrBEAST127 Why should i do that??
bubbles867 1 year ago
I believe the prob with the early SA80 types is that they patterned the weapon's operating system from the AR18. However, they used a single operating spring whereas the AR18 had two operating springs. So what Heckler & Koch did was replace the spring with a stronger spring and polish all corners. That's what I read, anyway. Personally, I feel they could have done the adjustments in Britain. Hechler and Koch's "mystique" seems to hypnotize some people.

@IDudeIDaryl1 The A1 wasn't very good withmultipl jammings and failings. So they eployedH& to update it.
