I hate to say it, being some one who's big and all, but skinny people (and by skinny I mean practically anorexic) look really nice in photographs. You can make bones pop out into really neet shapes. Like if you have your hands on your hips and turn your elbows out forwards your collarbones pop out more and your jaw bone and neck are highlighted, drawing more attention to the head and neck. Also clothing hangs better on you when your skinny, models are just oversize/overpaid coat hangers....
