how do you know if its crying wolfs head your shooting at? i mean can you tell the difference?

@TheFucker55 It might be hard but look at the shape of her body. The average human head is curved at the top, like a bowling ball basically. Try and look for that. It does take some practice but you'll be fine as long as you look for that curve on the head! Hope I helped.

-Simply, follow her footsteps.

-I think stay under the truck and snipe her bitches.

-If you're going for no kills use the mosing nagant and just line up a shot on her head.

-Use Night vision.

-Make sure you dont shoot her suit it will i think make her move (just get her head).

-And finally if you have completed the game before, use the rail gun (get it charged to 3) and then fuck her up good!

@asiashuffler Crying wolf usually camps at one spot for a very long time, you could do that but then again you could just take your time getting to her and blast her

The easiest way Ive found to beat Wolf is to hide under the truck you first see to the right of you and wait  there with a sniper rifle... ((I use the Mosin N.))

From there you can attack the Frog Soldiers without them finding you, and can snipe wolf when she shows herself. Best part is that even if she finds you there, there isn't much she can do except throw a small explosive on the ground that dosen't damage you much (( on Solid Normal anyway and she'll only do it once and run away again.

i did the same thing as girlyanimeboy, wasn't nearly as awesome as this guy in the video but it got the job done.....i actually planted mines around the truck too so when she got close she would run into them as well...also note this strategy takes FOREVER, so impatience need not apply

The story is that her village was attacked she and her brother ran away to this little house. Her brother started to cry. She heard soldiers so she grabbed his mouth tightly but after that the footsteps were gone and the brother was not breathing and the wolf part was that she had a pup that after that toke care of her or something I skip thought Otacon.

no its for various reasons like all the others had some form of extra scenes, oc had the most and was the first so her little trip to satan's madhosue was new, by the time it got to here it was so boring, also wolf just poped up although that was the case for mantis she had more significence, oc and rav had build up to their fights and her story was the most odd rather than horrific, the others made more scense

I can agree with some of what you said but if you would've fought crying wolf first and octopus third. You would say octopus is your least favourite because you heard the stories and they're all the same. I guess it's just a matter of opinion and I respect your opinion.

true, you always have a higher regard to soemthign that came first regardless if what comes later is just as good, like zelda's orcarina which was the first 3d and twilight princess came later and while as good people hold OFT higher

i also founded ocarina a boring game i hade the game i loved it then but if you take a look at it you can find some mager propmblems in the story line it was fun ain its time but it has a lake of interest

I HATE CRYING WOLF (its the only boss fight i hate, mainly because the frogs ruin everything, i can't see in the blizzard so i put on NV goggles and the frogs find me because they hear it) any tips

On Solid Normal.. Urm buy the moisan nagant (think thats the name for the tranq snipe) When you start off head right and there will be 4 frogs MAX, after that head out right and as you keep going, a frog will be layed down beside a tree, 2 frogs circle the buildings. If you take those out, you're pretty much free to roam around. Just NV goggle through the whole thing and always check with the tranq snipe to see if the area is clear

oh solid normal, thats why it looked like i could get past most of the parts easily, not this part of coars, even on liquid easy i have a lot of troubles with wolf ( thanx for the advice it will help) i am just about to play extreme on mine, but nice walkthrough, you found ways i couldn't find (i rushed through the game and knocked out everybody i saw)

oh yeah on the gekko part, trank its legs, than take out the m4 and just spray at the center of its head when it falls, you could kill it

You can use this exact same route on big boss extreme. This is the route I take to get BBE. Trust me it's the easiest way possible.

Well she got lucky dude. This boss is completely random and that person got lucky because she was always beside her. It's really just luck

well, sometimes, they can just do their strategy until she ends up in the place they want her to be, that can happen, even though her placing is random, sometimes where she starts can fit a good strategy, all you need to do is quit the game about 10-15 times and she will probably end up in the perfect place

I don't do that :P I just face her straight up, but my fastest time is 3 hours and 20 minutes. That's slow compared to people doing it in 2 hours and I got no idea how they do that

my fastest is 3 hours and i think 40 minutes since i usually mess around, put a playboy down to distract a guard and have fun knocking him out, it could be less if i do the resistance trick but i don't want to use it

Good job, man. I've never even attempted a no alerts/kills run simply because of this boss battle. Because I spend more time trying to avoid FROGs and trying to recover psyche than I do looking for Crying Wolf. It's never connected to me to actually neutralize the FROGs initially.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes crying wolf is one meanie, especially on the boss extreme. Do what i did, tranq the frogs on that side, and basically run that way, crying wolf is random but 90% of the time, shes in the area of when i first shot her. Hope i helped
