  • A 380 looks fantastic!!!

  • muito lindo...o melhor que vi até agora

  • what a sad load of fucks you all are saying stuff lioke 'beutifal' 'amazing' its 36 seconds of a plane landing get a fucking life and people have a go at me for watching the sunset

  • @insanegearhead hater

  • @thevidguy11 im t a hater just thnk your all sad

  • @insanegearhead it's a plane that represents 100 years of aviation and how far we've come from the first hot air balloon flown in the sky to a 277 thousand kilogram plane that can hold more than 400 people. if there's no beauty in that, than I don't know what is.

  • Such a smooth landing.

  • saw it take off last saturday from melbourne

  • Amazing:)

  • That is beautiful - love QANTAS!!! Spirit of Australia - how cool is that?!!

  • a380 is looks so good, damn

  • Nice and smooth landing. :-)

  • @raulox71 Yes indeed very nice landing!!

  • @riDDDiculous And the A-380, a beautiful mashine.

  • @raulox71 yes it is!

  • Arrival of the 21st Century technique! B R A V O !!!

  • Huge only for the biggest of airports

  • Huge

  • i live in LA and i see that come in, i have only seen it come in this runway. qantas terminal is behind the cameraman

  • is that the only runway it lands on or it uses the other runways on the other side too?

  • Did he say: Crap dude, in the start?

  • A380 what an amazing airplane!

  • Oh.. loving the eurotrash comments here too.. no doubt coming from America's more cerebrally challenged.

  • Qantas is the coolest airline - Australia rocks!!

  • If you are what you are fly in, I don't know, but at least these Aussie are not goofy or messy !

  • Hopefully this plane will be back in LAX soon after Rolls Royce finds a way for Qantas to operate it at full thrust after the engine explosion on November 4th, 2010.

  • i like it ! ;)

  • Nice to see the super mother in LA. Will we see the A380 super jumbo in other major US hubs like ATL, ORD and DFW. ORD's sister city in UK Bham (BHX) has had a visit and is soon to expect regular A380 Emirates flights from Dubai.

  • Nice video.

  • great video i love it!!!

  • Quite a bit of rudder used from 0:20 until touchdown. Nice landing from the Aussie Pilots too :)

  • This aircraft is a widebody. I guess that only the inner engines are reversing due to the possibilty of FOD in the outer engines.

  • Such a new plane to be "recalled" already

  • U can hear throttle back & great landing no smoke off tires ...

  • beautiful plane.

  • @burns1210 Uhh... The 744 looks like pinoccio!

  • Nice landing.

  • im surprised that there wuz hardley any smoke that u could see after touchdown

  • einfach......................unschlagbar

  • was besseres gibt es nicht................

  • Well it is a ROO

  • only one engine cowl opened up when it reversed the thrust

  • @pCf96 It only has reverse thrust on engines 2 and 3 for a few reasons; to save weight, save cost, less maintenance and most importantly, to prevent the reversing thrust kicking up FOD into engines 1 and 4 as they are often over edge of the runway where the grass is.

  • It's nice to see a video where Boeing and Airbus fans aren't at each other throats.

  • wow....nothin else to say...

  • I love the paint job on Qantas aircrafts. Also A380 is amazing machine.

  • @moveaxebx You love the paint job on Qantas aircrafts?? Really? But if they only painted the tail section!!

....the best paint job on all-time airlines was the "branniff international"...

  • Wow the wings even crosses to the other runway, what a mess lol

  • qantas a380 is never coming to lax again

  • Yes it is, the Qantas Airbus A380 has three flight per week to LA (LAX), there are 2 flights from Melbourne Australia per week, and there is 1 flight from Sydney Australia per week, the first A380 flight was done by Qantas and that came from Melbourne Australia to LA (LAX),

  • there is no aircraft in thw world you can compare to the 747-400, they're makin a new 747 :D cant wait the 747-800 :D kick ass

  • @DangerousMusicProd Oh Dangerous, Yes there is. I take it You come from the USA. The 777 will eat any aircraft in the sky for stability and comfort. I am a Commercial Pilot with many flying hours as Pilot and passenger.

  • @riplstrip Actually i do not come from US well actually im half american.. anyways. nvm.. i love the 777 really . are you really a commercial pilot. did you fly 777? and if you really want to know im australian and swedish and amercian dosen't make sense huh? mom = swe dad = Australian and amercian lol.

  • @DangerousMusicProd Hi Mate, Looks like you are a Swedausam. (Swedish,Aussie, American).

I am just a Swedaus. Father Swedish, Mum Aussie. I never flew a 777 but have been a passenger in them many times. Biggest plane I have flown is a Beechcraft B200. Just a little one compared to a 777. Emirates Airlines use them as their workhorses as they are so reliable and a stable flying platform. Good to hear from You and Happy flying.

  • @riplstrip cool well a beechcraft b200 isn't that small either. eheh i have been in a cockpit of a boeing 747-400 in flight and i got to sit in the first pilots seat OMFG best day of life. i had the thought going on in my head someday this is my chair.. my plane.. hehe. cant wait to get 18-20 to start my flight education :O

  • Go for it Mate, Nothing is as exciting or Adrenalin pumping as your first Solo flight. You will remember it for the rest of your life.

  • @riplstrip

I hardly doubt that! Although the triple 7 is a very good plane, the mighty A380 is superior in every way! Size, comfort, noise and economics. The only thing the 772-LR has over the A380 is range. But that is soon going to change with the A358-R. I've flown them both. 777-200LR (Emirates) and the A380 on SQ (Singapore Airlines).

Face of the industry: B747 (love the classics)

    Modern en innovative: A380

  • "mighty A380??" Rofl! It's a french piece of shit! Evidently you don't follow aviation to closely. Of course, it isn't as big, however, not only is the Boeing 777 the "vastly superior" machine but the new 747 coming out (as with "any") Boeing jet is always going to be of incomparable quality when compared to this overhyped, underpowered cream puff!

  • @badtolzstandby

None of your statement makes any clear sense. Clearly it is you that doesn't follow aviation closely. You've used it's country of origin as a negative, and haven't stated any positive of the 777 or 747, yet have somehow called it "vastly superior"?

    Please explain?

  • LMAO, yeah, that's what it is! Whatever you say.....Damned eurotrash

  • @badtolzstandby you mentioned the 747-8. If its sooo much better then the a380, why are there only 2 passenger carries (lufthansa and korean) to order the plane? Incidentally, both those airlines have also ordered the a380. Compared to the airbus, which has clocked 244 orders (not including options) from 18 major airlines, the 747 has only got 33 passenger orders... I think the airlines would know better then you, so they buy the a380.

  • I think you took it all wrong. Let's leave the "particular" jets (777, 747, a-380, etc...) out of the equation, ok.

In short, french products are like the people of france themselves..........Need I say more.....

  • @badtolzstandby and what are French products like? Because i think the French are great people...

  • @badtolzstandby Yes you need to say more, unless you're content to appear to make nothing but petty infantile innuendo.

  • @vr6only You're right, but you're comparing planes that are pretty much ten years apart, and the 772 is a derivative of a plane from about 20 years ago. Of course the A380 is going to outmatch it on almost everything. I'm sure the 787 will be just as dandy as the a380 if not better.

  • @vr6only totaly agree with u :) the only prblm with most of ppl here is: they never put their ass on the a380 and still talking shit about it !! most of american should travel to europe and asia to see a totaly other world:) i been on 777-747-and on most of airbus, including 380-emirates, it a awesome plane

  • it's a beautiful aircraft...not as beautiful as the 747 maybe, but still beautiful

  • the other day i saw the a-380 land on 24r which believe is the shortest runway doesnt it only land on 25L

    ?

  • Nice landing for such a huge aircraft

  • OMG best landing with AirbusA380 what i see reali good:)

  • took a qantas a380 from LAX to Australia. it was amazing even in economy!! :D

  • Imagine looking at this and seeing it land, that would be amazing!

  • If only other Pilots were this good. Great Landing.

  • 2 questions, why didnt it6 smoke so much?and why did it have 2 reverse thrusts?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • First, environmental friendly.

Second, to reduce the amount of debris cause by thrust reverser. It would damage both runway and the engine itself.

  • What else can You expect from the Best Pilots in the World? Ans 2. The runway is so long, and the all up weight was low.

  • Very little weight on Board. I think that answers both questions.

  • u stupid

  • Smoke free engines, just their green nature, and it only needs 2.

  • QANTAS=Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Services.

If you did not know that.

  • Awesome info! I didn't know that seriously!

  • I love the 380! Especially the back view of the wings with the flaps and spoilers extended.

  • great video.... awsome plane.

  • oohh

  • HUGE plane

  • That was a really soft landing for such a large plane! Props to the Pilot. Go Qantas!

  • PERFECT LAND !!!

  • perfect landing!

  • woah only reverse thrust on two engines?

  • Sometimes it is not required all engines for reverse thrust, or that`s what i think! :p

  • o thank you

  • only engine 2 and 3 products reverse thrust in a380

  • The reason of this, is because the wings of the A380 are too wide to be using reverse thrusters on all 4 engines.

  • @BrothersButler

yeah, apperently it only needs to engines in reverse to stop it :P

  • @BrothersButler Yes because the approache velocity is equal to the A 320 !!! So no need for four reverse thust. The responsible reason for such a low speed is the huge wings !!!

  • @BrothersButler Yep, the outer engines are near the edges of the runway, if not over them, so I believe there is only reverse thrust on the inner to help protect the engines from sucking up bits of grass, dirt etc

  • @BrothersButler i dont know but they only use 2reversers

  • @BrothersButler it dosent have reverse thrust on the outer engines as it only needs

  • @BrothersButler Only one reverse-thrust because the engine is so powerfull, that it does not need four of those...

  • @BrothersButler yeah not sure why in my fsx lufthensa a380 it does that too?!

  • @BrothersButler 'Cause it dosen't need them

  • @BrothersButler fuel saving and reduce engine wear

  • @BrothersButler Actually all 4 engines have reverse thrust but the inner two engines are the only ones that have the triggger to set the reverse thrust. I think Airbus didn't want all four engines to have reverse thrust because it would be to strong and might cause some serve winds in a 3km radius.

  • @BrothersButler yes, and the reason being is because of the vacuum design airbus applied onto the a380, which allows the plane to approach at slower speeds;therefore, needing less stopping power

  • @BrothersButler the outer engines reverse thrust would destroy the land beside the runway.

  • @BrothersButler only 2 reverse thrust because if 4 may cause a very heavy damage to the airport :)

  • wonderful colors and airplane !!

  • I remember when Quantas first took delivery of the 747 with RB211 engines, 1973? and flying from Melbourne to Frankfurt. It was an amazing flight. You could go upstairs to the bar and Guess what? - the pilot actually had the door open so you could look into the cockpit and say hello. Great days and for me a great airline. Friendly, professional and seemingly laid back. Are they still?

  • awesome

  • What a majestic sight! Go Qantas...I am so proud of our national airline!

  • it depend upon the pilot skill.

  • i was on that flight & the landing was as smooth as it looks in the video.
