I want to say plains garter snake. Harmless.
Please know that 95% of U.S. snakes are harmless. Your chances of coming across a dangerous snake are very slim, and being stupid enough to get bitten by one are slimmer.

Garter snakes have 2 likes down their back...(yellow, and orange)...I'm a professional corn snake breeder...you learn lots of stuff from the expos...
