everyone shut up. this was done very well. it was preformed by a musical THEATRE club. meaning there was going to be acting you morons. this wasn't about singing the original hymn, learn to read. it was from the first sister act. all the solos sounded great, especially the last. good job girls!
Yes, the hymn has been around for eons, but this particular arrangement is from the movie SISTER ACT. Normally, the hymn had been sung downtempo, but the movie vamped it up.
i know what the hymn is from newsoftheworld....i went to catholic school for 7 years...this is musical theatre club...people like funny not boring...sorry

This is much better some of the other versions I've seen on YouTube!
1, it's pretty original
2, you guys are having a lot of fun with it!
3, the soloist has a great, free, young voice just like in the movie
4, the length of some of the notes you sing is just like in the movie, unlike in some of the other videos
