  • Somehow reminds me of "Green Onions"...

  • class song,i cant tell you the songs that came from that 3 chord progression, ecerythin from blockbuster by sweet to orgone accumulator by hawkwind

  • I've always thought CH was enormously unappreciated. I had the privilege of seeing them in concert (Earl Warren Showgrounds, Santa Barbara, late '60s) and they put on a wonderful show (much better than many more famous bands). I even got to meet the Bear (he kissed my paw! sigh...). Thanks for posting.

  • yo knapp!?!? you forgot to introduce the song' nervous?

  • @ryefletcher LOL Dude, it's 2011. Not 1911. Guys like you almost ALWAYS end up having daughters who do nothing but go to NFL and NBA games so they can find a huge big black cock to tear them in two or they go to the salsa clubs to find a sharp dressed Latino to give her some of that Latin passion... OR you end up having a son who ends up being the next Eminem and gets married to an African super model. Curb the racism, asshole. This music is too cool for you and your bullshit comments.

  • @tropicalpimp i read ur comment and laughed my ass off at its truthfulness. This world sucks, i wanted us to be together, not to trade places lol

  • @ryefletcher why even come here u just show your ignorance ignorance is bliss, that means you are very very happy

  • the best is the beginning the beat comes rolling in it sounds mad fuckin heavy

  • A Classic

    Canned heat song!

  • good old days for sure

  • The Old Buzzard Blues Band willl be playing the traditional arrangement of this song at the Red Lion, Berwick-Upon-Tweed this Sunday 16 October 2011 with me doing my humble best to capture Alans tone and remember all of The Blind Owls multiple chugs and soaring notebends using his altered harp. Been listening to this track since 1968 and every time - I hear something different!!

  • oh man, what a groove!

  • I remember hearing this song on the AM radio in my parents' Chevy, and becoming totally mesmerized by the relentless boogie. I want to play harp like Alan Wilson!

  • What I love about this song is that you don't have to be paying attention to the lyrics to get it.

  • I love this song, I can just listen to it all day and night.

  • My dear mother left me when i was quite young

  • HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT LIKE SUCH A GOOD SONG!?

  • this was my first real musical experience, at 3, my dad playing me this from his first cd walkman, in headphones, i can remember every detail, the sound, the pattern on the bedsheets, the reflection in the mirror, the smell of the dressing table, the chip in the porcine of the teasmaid this was the moment that i began to recognize music as its own separate entity and as a language unto its self

  • @absoluteenergy1 Bullshit.

  • Thanks for it Ledzepman!!

  • now all i need is a car. bugger!

  • Only people without ears dislike this song because they know they are being deprived.

  • @DocG1337 instruments: awesome blues harp, guitar, drums, and that droning is a sitar. and maybe other stuff that I missed.

  • Rock bottom cool from the rock bottom coolest band.

  • Before I went ot NYC in fall 2010 I heart this tune very often till my departure flight to USA. From the moment as the airplane approached JFK over Queens till the my return flight I always heart this music in my ear. And even now as I think back to this journey I associate it with this music.

  • I <3 Canned Heat ! On the road again !!! R.E.S.P.E.C.T from France ! =)

  • If I was born in the 50's

I'd be bluesing around in the 60's

Rock 'n Rolling in the 70's

Rocking' and taste some Blues in the 80's

Then I'd get some good grunge in the 90's

Then I'll be listening to some Hardrock in Late 90's-being 2000

And then in 2003, I will suicide. I had a great life: Don't wanna make it any worse with the music of these days. Cheers.

  • @TIMxisxHERE That's the life I've always dreamed of

  • @TIMxisxHERE, no. On January 1st, 1990, I would suicide. Good music went away after 1990.

  • @talladegajunkie1439 Actually, it disappeared when Madonna appeared in 84-85 bringing back disco back kicking and screaming. Now we have her clones - Ladt Gaga, britney and so forth. We've been there ever since in my opinion.

  • @talladegajunkie1439 Nah some of the britpop/indie was alright.

  • @TIMxisxHERE lol dude thats what i kinda said to my mate a couple weeks ago.

  • There are certain pieces of music that have an ever lasting influence on you no matter what or where you are/were at the time the music first drifted into your ears, this piece has been with me over 40 years, will be till the day I leave planet earth !!!

  • @Childofthemoon1969 agreed....so much of my life is revealed to me when I just chill to this song...the beat sort of puts you in a trance...and the words are so deeply personal...yet a person feels like he could be speaking about you. Love these classic gems...you don't hear this "Sound" much anymore...

  • Damn this makes the hairs on my neck stand up!

  • What road is he talking about?

  • @miguelthedog The A120 just outside Bishop's Stortford.

  • @partygrv lol - excellent !

  • @miguelthedog he's not going on a road he is going on The Road, that which all roams lead to, the perpetual home of the displaced disillusioned poor rambling riding wandering hooligans. he's talking about bumming, hitching, riding his thumb, hopping a train, riding on, saddling up hiking gittin while the gittins good.

  • Makes me think of being a young soldier in the military/war. All by myself....

  • This will play loud.......you can crank it till it rattles the windows.

    I've been down that road..............
