  • Martin Luther King Jr., you would have changed the world we live in today were you still here. You changed the world back then, and I hope that the man who shot you is going insane realizing that he will be part of the reason that this society is falling apart, that he is part of what you spoke of in this speech. In this desperate hour of need for all of mankind, I pray that you will send us deliverance in some way, and prove that we are nothing but animals ourselves. R.I.P Martin Luther King Jr

  • Somehow I was close to crying to this!!!

  • "...cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love, Sam Witwicky. My name is Martin Luther Prime. I come from a distant planet called Cybertron. We need your help in retrieving The Cube."

  • That's okay, I didn't want to sleep tonight anyways.

  • @BlueSparkShot me either... freaky deaky man aha

  • Happy MLK day

  • Happy Martin Luther King day, everybody =)

  • This send shivers down my back...EVERYTIME!!

  • Linkin Parkk.<333(:

  • We can try to stop ourselves.. but we will not be able to escape the inevitable..

We cannot stop the tyranny of our leaders nor our greed...

We can try to stop the cries of despair and agony, but it is...too many...

We can wish and attempt we can stop this madness, but it will only lead to a bitter fate...

  • @gtglolrofl Maybe one person can't, and maybe two people can't. But if it's something you belive in strongly, you won't even think that maybe your attempts are futile. You will do it because it's right. And when you fight for good, it never goes to waste. Never.

  • Music, film and art bring people together. Politics, religion and money (greed) separates them.

  • Beautiful. Brilliant. Excellent.

  • please check out my tribute/version to this song using the same speech.. just search wisdom justice and love on my channel :)

  • like if you got creeped out by this.

  • a beautiful song and speech

  • okay!

    - type in youtube 'rainy mood'

    - play both this song and that at the same time,

    sounds amazing <3

  • so powerfull

  • if you wanna hear the entire "A Thousand Suns" album, just go to my channel...each and every song is streaming for free there

  • @LinkinParkTVPwnedYou or bought the album

  • if you wanna hear the entire "A Thousand Suns" album, just go to my channel...each and every song is streaming for free there

  • @LinkinParkTVPwnedYou don't do promotion for something illegal, please the artist work hard to make this, you destroy the music industry, you should be banned from youtube

  • this may be the most powerful and depressing speech ive ever heard

  • @Atlis07 its powerful because it is true and its depressing because its what is and has been happening since forever lol humans have always treated eachother horribly without dignity like each is better than the rest instead of treating eachother as equals being kind and humble and loving everyone because the fact is we are on this planet TOGETHER and if we dont change soon we will be an extinct species

  • I thought it was cannot be weapon solved with wisdom justice and love

  • Sovereign.

  • The best thing ive heard in a while, am glad Linkin Park have returned!!!! And this song has much to do with what SquallRinoa89 said, people need to remember they are just human beings, no more, no less, lets just follow wisdom , justice and love. Its what differs us from a program, an algorithm, all that were, all that is and all that will be......

  • fantastic.

  • cool

  • thats creepy at the end

  • thats creepy

  • This speech by Martin Luther is about how we as human beings are becoming more and more ruthless towards each other. As the song progresses onwards, King's voice becomes increasingly more emotionless and robotic just like we humans are becoming so emotionless to the point that we can do such horrible things, as mentioned in the speech, to each other.

Is what this song is trying to mean.

  • @SquallRinoa89 Oh... that's what it means? All I could think of when listening to this was a Terminator. Seriously, look at a picture of a Terminator while listening to this. Kinda creepy, huh?

  • @SquallRinoa89 Deep shit man. thanks for explaining it.

  • @SquallRinoa89 Its humanity at its best isn't it?

  • @SquallRinoa89 Cool story, bro.

    LOL!

Jk, that was beautiful, man. :')

  • im sure you guys knew this but i think the reason his voice goes robot is because the song that plays after this on the album is played in the new transformers movie its an amazing song and and speech

  • @Marksmen44 The reason his voice goes robotic has nothing to do with Transformers...

  • Am I the only one who wants to hear the rest of his speech with the music in the background without the robot voice ending?

  • Martin Luther King. Genius.

  • This is Amazing!

  • Who made this speech, this is amazing!!!

  • @viperattack100

One of the most notable civil rights activists in the 20th century; Martin Luther King Jr.

  • @AndrewMcGlade You, sir, are amazing.

  • Listening to this, thinking of the innocent lives lost ten years ago.

  • @BunkerDudes you know im not saying that its selfish but other and much MUCH more tragic things have happened but that's the country that we live in only thinks of itself, like the Janjaweed in Africa currently SLAUGHTERING people taking the innocence of children by making them commit horrific acts of genocide, but that's the world we live full of conceded, vain, people blinded by their white picket fence on their yard.

  • @ThePistolero909 Ya, I know. It was 9/11, so I just thought maybe I could post something about it on this video. It's a nice song tho.

  • This is a beautiful speech showing how one man can change an entire nation from racist to friendly, loving, and caring. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a hero to many people someone who stood for what was right and not to get even or for revenge but for peace like or reply to this if you know what I am talking about.

  • I love Linkin Park<3

  • Thanks Linkin Park, cus of you I'm still the person I want to be, and not a person who walks with other people

    Thanks

  • join dis channel for hd video

  • love

  • First it feels sad making us reflect upon what we've done... then it gets VERY scary as Martin Luther King Jr.'s voice get's distorted.

  • @Archer2509 And finally he becomes Optimus Prime

  • @maxjohnsonvideos Peter Cullen is the only Optimus Prime

  • How can someone possibly dislike this? Such powerful words....

  • Am i the only person tht kinda gets kreeped out lol

  • @2peezed31 yes if you understand the song you wont get kreeped out

  • @2peezed31 i get creeped out knowing this shit is still going on some 40-odd years later. MLKJ would be ashamed.

  • This is probably the only music, if you can consider it a song, that has given me chills. It is just so haunting and mysterious. Amazing.

  • I don't think war would of been so cataclysmic if people weren't so obsessed with evolving weaponry.

Humanity is soo not an evolving species. It's devolving. I hate how people can say "they're the smartest species on Earth". Well at least the other species aren't fucking shooting at each other.

  • 26 people don't get the messege.

  • u know when this guy first put up his account i agreed with him. i totally hated the album. that was then this is now and ive completely changed my lind

  • I think Linkin Park is obsessed with transformers a bit too much now XD

  • All od you do realize that 1000 suns is based of the Manhattan project

The atom bomb testing it Mexico

So think Catylst ( catlysm) Iridiscent meaning many colors , burning in the sky

    and yh

  • I don't know if LP wanted to say smth with this song, but if they did, They showed that this speech is still urgent and they showed its importance it in a great way.

  • KILLUMINATI !!!!!!

  • this is the beginning of iridescent

  • @teag17 It's also it's own separate track.

  • This track is one of my favorite in their album... sci-fi in my opinion

  • This isn't scary. It's inspiring, yet haunting..

  • imagine this as a video, of martin lurther king standing up at a podeum at a church... then it cross-fades to what he is talking about... (orphans, burning with napalm ect) then as his voice because distorted also does the video. I reckon it would be amazing to see something like that :P

  • It doesn't matter how often I listen to this... or if I listen to it once a year... I get goose bumps and this brings me to tears every time.

  • I went to a show in Tampa and between songs they did creepy stuff like this. It was awesome.

  • Martin Luther King Jr. is one of those historical figures that I look up to. I hear his words and I can't believe how amazing they are, and then to hear them in a song that I love by a band that I love is priceless

  • Comment removed

  • SO SCARY!

  • where did megatron come from

  • cannot be reconciled with wisdom justice and love.

  • very Nice :)

  • Hey they should include this in front of the iridescent video!

  • can someone freakin explain WTF is this this not a frekin song i dont get it this documental wattever they are are to short and no song .??

  • @lexnircola It's part of the theme to do with the album. It actually has a very deep meaning. People will take of it what they will.

  • This is the most interesting track I've ever heard. It makes me think of so many things at once. Like the humanity of this world is slowly deteriorating into the machine is was destined to be

  • what a great speach

  • its "cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love"

  • sounds like 'it might be reconciled but there's no justice in war"

  • sounds like to me "Do not be weapon solved with wisdom, justice and love" ...

  • this is cool

  • im gonna sound like a noob but what album is it from? i used to have it but it got lost. :(

  • @DBZandBleachFans26 A Thousand Suns :)

  • @DBZandBleachFans26

    Its from a thousand suns

  • This is the best work LP has done in years.

  • Stop Talking of transformers in Linkin Park videos

  • he sounds like Andross :p

  • after the nalpam bombs got off...

  • when i first heard this song i cried. it was so sad. what king says and how his voice gets distorted is so depressing and it makes you look at humanity's cruelty. i mean, linkin park's never done something like this before. they have a lot of values and deep messages of life for us in this album and i appreciate it, unlike mainstream haters who can't mature from lp's overproduced nu metal sound. but to be honest, i dont think lp knows what theyre doing sometimes when making music

  • @RetardedAndRandomTV From Hybrid theory to A Thousand Suns, look at the theme of each album, it shows how a person progress in life, a boy so rebellious, to a man who voice out for the world. If listeners, hater or not, are able to see it, they should come to their senses. Linkin Park's songs are more than just music, they are inspirations of life.

Its understanding people like yourself, make the world a better place. I'm now glad, because I know I'm not alone.

  • @SyndicateOfTheDamned Your comment says what I have been trying to tell people who hate their new stuff for awhile. You are quite awesome ^_^

  • @SyndicateOfTheDamned Omg, I got chills by reading your comment. that's so true. good analysis :)

  • @RetardedAndRandomTV you're a clown if you don't see the point.

  • It's funny how this interlude is quite possibly the most powerful thing I've ever heard.

  • @CornadaTV I agree. To me, his " i have a dream speach" does not even come close to this one.

  • This speech is now scaring me!!!

  • I am headbanging so hard to this song.

  • They killed Dr. King.

  • In our last english lesson, we talked about MLK Jr and his "I have a dream" speech...

he was a hero in my eyes.

  • this song if fucking trippy the end is scary

Dr. king wasnt a decepticon was he?

  • The music aduio sounds like Iridescent.

  • @TheTremor209 it is

  • @TheTremor209 I think Iridescent follows on from this.

  • Iv'e always hated Linkin Park, then my friend made me listen to this CD when we were driving to school. and i luv it, it's got this crazy awesome twist.

  • @MrCircus177 Just try the older tracks. To some, LP may be an acquired taste.

  • @SciFiWebcam See, I don't like the older ones.

  • Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the best people this world will ever be graced with. His speeches were powerful and still raise a wonderful or somber feelling in you even after so long

  • @ABlackGuy55

His speeches are also still relevant. Every word of this can still be used to express the situation the world is in. The United States school system needs to study more than just the "I Have A Dream" Speech. They definitely need to cover the "Beyond Vietnam" speech. Just exchange Vietnam for Iraq and you have the same situation. The world is in bad shape, we need to love one another and stop trying to persecute each other for being different.

  • you can look it up on google.thats where i found it. :)

  • does anyone know where i can find the complete speech or atleast the name of the speech?

  • Hits you right in the soul, even tought it maybe wouldn't be what some people call a song, its stille my favorite song

  • He is talking about Vietnam. "burning human beings with napalm","sending men home from the dark and bloody battlefields physically handicapped and psychologically deranged". King was against the war.

  • As i say the words along with this track it brings tears to my eyes.

  • best track they ever put out. seriously.

  • Please comment =)

     youtube .com/ user/ TheFireStage

  • This whole album is just amazing. Linkin Park needs to make their next albums more like this!

  • this is the most amazing thing I've ever heard :')

  • this is the most amazing thing I've ever heard L')

  • the 18 people who disliked this video, are probably racist!

  • I immediately thought of World War ll. Sigh......goddamn Hitler....

  • 17 people don't know what it means clearly.

  • This song is absolutely terrifying. Especially the ending.

  • This song gives me chills.

    I love it.

  • i love it, i .love all there songs

  • That track was only 1:41 and i just bust out crying, what a beautiful track.

  • @LinkinParkTVPwnedYou you're awesome, the whole album in good quality

  • any one who dis like this video is doomed to a life of stupidity, niglect, blindness, and hate. This is the wisest and smarted person on earth GO MLK Jr. He is the greatest person in history

  • I come to this magnificent house of worship tonight,

Because my conscience leaves me no other choice.

A true revolution of values will lay hands on the world order and say of war:

This way of settling difference is not just.

This business of burning human beings with napalm,

Filling our nation's homes with orphans and widows,

Of injecting poisonous drugs of hate into veins of people normally humane.

  • Of sending men home from the dark and bloody battlefields physically handicapped and psychologically deranged,

Cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love. (x6)

  • Sounds like he's morphing into a Transformer ..hehe......

  • if you wanna hear the entire "A Thousand Suns" album, just go to my channel...each and every song is streaming for free there

  • <3 this song

  • Every time I listen to this song I try to analyze what the underlying message of it is. I believe that Mr. King's speech is expressing that our conscience becomes tired and frustrated of ongoing wars in our world. No matter how many times we try to convey the feelings of our displeasure towards wars and hate, as time passes, just as with the song, our wisdom, justice and love becomes distorted.

Mr. King knows how to tell it. It's a shame he's not around today to smack some sense into us.

  • @FaptzticSpaztic I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say not all of that is right. It's the new Transformers movie. Other than that you were spot on accurate!!!!

  • the computerized voice gives a creepy matrixy feeling

  • People have told me that listening to Martin Luther King (live) was great because he was a magnificent speaker. When I first heard this on LP's album, it gave me chills, it hits you "home". He really is an amazing speaker.

    Thanks LP!!

  • Although this is a great quote/speech I don't see how its a song and I think the ending is overdone. But I still do like it.

  • @AlexDXVI It goes into Iridescent. It's more of a transition track.

  • i thought it said "cannot be reconciled when there is no justice involved"

  • this is so simple but so powerful!

  • @MrMetallicaforlife how they hell did you only like this one? Waiting for the End, Catalyst, and Iridescent are better.

  • this is the only track i liked on this album......

  • Hmm.... The new terminator movie does go back in time to the first moon landing... This... Could.. Mean... NOOOOOOOOOO. MARTIN LUTHER KING IS A TRUCK.

  • man who the fuck put that stupid ass video about the filipino dipshit fighting in a beach brawl?

  • Wisdom, Justice And Love
