  • "We're not going to fight your wars . . . we won't join your corporations . . . " Well you threw those ideals out the window, didn't you?

  • Does anybody else recognise the song where the line 'well, its an altogether new thing!' is sampled in? i think it is my favourite sentence ever. The kids even look just like the band, I wouldn't be surprised if it was them :)

  • I believe I'm the reincarnation of Timothy Leary because I was born on the day he died.

  • @LOVE808s LOL

  • @LOVE808s

and Timothy was the reincarnation of Socrates, so how do you do great grandfather of modern philosophy! I've always wanted to meet you!

  • actually for being 9 years old that kid was pretty smart lol maybe we was on to something lol but anyway

    LSD FTW!!!

  • Why did the new mobile app take away the "share" feature?

  • @mcfaen Never!

  • Well I want to join a corporation so fuck you Tim Leary.

  • @AdmiralGilgamesh Get ready to suck a bunch of dicks.

  • @cyclos12 Well I'm gay so I actually enjoy sucking cock.

  • Leary's eyes......whooooooaaaaaaa. Lay off the sid, Timmy.

  • I can't believe I almost tried LSD.

  • @LiannaRodriguez you should have man it's not really that bad for you and it can take you were ever you want to go man

  • @LiannaRodriguez I can't believe you didn't.

  • Oh shit this is where Shpongle got that sample.

  • @Aarodynamicshiphop lol i wanted to use it in one of my songs for producing lol...

  • ya LSD was ok just tell that to the Manson family...I have dun LSD and it was ok but I would not call it a religious experience... And I sure as hell would not give it to kids and as for war the solders in nam were doing it before the west cost just to deal with having to kill women and little kids.

  • @roug26 you did it wrong.

  • who drinks a cup full of lsd? lol wat!

  • @Thor22289 LSD was not an illusion, it doesn't show you anything that's not already there.

  • Love it! I wish it was so openly taken and pure as it was back then

  • I wanted to try LSD...until I heard that it provides a "religious experience". No thanks! I've read the Bible 10 times without taking LSD! Perhaps, it makes sense if you're tripping?

  • @melgibsonfaggot "Religious" as in "Spiritual" but that's just because most people lack words to describe it.

It has nothing to do with the bible if you don't believe in it.

But dude, 10 fucking times? Why the fuck?

  • @Thor22289 I was mocking the children. They said taking acid was like reading the Bible 10 times. I'm not sure what they mean by that. Perhaps, just a simile of their part. As in, they are gaining some sort of revelation (of what?) through the use of LSD that they couldn't have otherwise had.

Then why wouldn't they just say "spiritual" or "otherworldly"? Even the word "spiritual" is too new age for my tastes. How about "unreality" or "far out!"?

  • @melgibsonfaggot Even "unreality" or "far out" are kind of lacking, I guess.

Most people who uses LSD are not so educated about it, so they have a hard time realizing that what they saw was just an illusion.

  • @melgibsonfaggot He simply meant that LSD can be more enlightening than the bible. I don't think phrases like "far out" or "spiritual" explain this phenomenon accurately to be people who haven't tried LSD. Therefore, it was best for this kid to use the simile he did to explain what it can be like to people with less experience. nuts

  • @Villageiddyit Anything is more enlightening than the Bible. But, what exactly will LSD do for your brain? Increase intelligence or awareness of subtleties not normally recognized by the abundance of "sleepwalkers" in our mundane world? I would try mushrooms, not acid. I'm not sure that pure LSD-25 or any decent acid can be found these days. (So I've heard.) Unless you know a chemist really well, you could be getting all kinds of horrible, deadly chemicals that are not LSD.

  • @melgibsonfaggot oh man ,, they are very old ,, now all know what they must do , :)

  • Turn on, Tune in, Drop out!

  • Check out the lords of the revolution documetary if you want to learn more about leary ! A finally well diserved doc about leary. BEST DOC EVER!

  • Ron Paul 2012 to end the War on Drugs, Default the Constitution, end the "Federal Reserve" and End the "Patriot" Act!!!! Yes Ending the war on nature is possible this election!!!!!

  • What are these CHILDREN doing taking LSD? they are talking bollocks. The adults here should be sectioned themselves.

  • As awesome and powerful as LSD is, I don't think they should be giving it to children that young, just as I don't think children should be baptized-- they should wait until they truly understand what they're doing.

I just wrote a post about Timothy Leary on my blog, Furthur. If you want to check it out, the link is in my channel. :)

  • How did Timothy Leery end up running for president, and why are they calling him Ron Paul?

  • @secretbonus He kinda looks like Ron Paul, don't you think?

  • @secretbonus lol sorry, I see now that was the joke

  • I love LSD and everything about it. But at 9 years old?? Lets get real folks, that aint a good idea.

  • @2727taterbug It aint goot to let 9 year olds watch TV either, just look at kids nowdays. That kid sounds way smarter then the average 9 year old today with their computer shit and whatnot.

  • Lords Superior Drug (LSD)

  • Love tim

  • Proto-emo cali kids= Boo Who club pt. 2.

..... the drugs aren't THAT strong!

  • @meatblob937 What?

  • @muramasa24 hell yeah!

  • however things are much better now and when i was talking about those dangerous thoughts this was about 10 years ago when i was in grade school soo no worries im not going to shoot anybody, hell back then i never even had a gun, but i enjoyed the thought, (private school filled with a bunch of little spoiled assholes)

  • i agree with veganpua about his opinion, i was forced into ritalin, then atteral and welbutrin to counteract the atterol. i truly believed that shit fucked me up and i dont forgive my parents for forcing it on me. it completely ruined my social life and gave me thoughts of suicide and even thoughtsof going to school and shooting up the kids who picked on me for being weird. of course the medicine is the reason for me being weird. i recently tried mushrooms at a lake and ive been happy ever since

  • Everyone who says "it's all in your head" has never taken LSD, Shrooms, and probably has never even taken a hit of weed, they probably did but was peer pressured into it like a tool. LSD is more Spiritual than Jesus himself.

  • @muramasa24 Maybe you should check out a science book sometime.

  • I think forcing children in school to take Ritalin to control them is much worse than giving LSD to children willing to take it!

  • @VeganPua Lets face it - this is what Judeo-Christian culture has come to : Ritalin vs LSD else crime !

Why not turn to Eastern : yoga, Ayurveda, Taoism, Shaolin/Judo martial arts etc. You can still send kids to church but they are going to ask tough questions to the priest.

  • I just gave LSD to my boss.

  • @powerfullogic COOL STORY BRO PICTURES OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN LAWL

  • Timothy Leary: turn on, tune in, drop out

Ray Manzarek (Doors): actually it was tune in, drop out, TAKE OVER!

  • @JordanG901278 bullshit! You're thinking of Albert Hoffman. He was a scientist. Timothy Leary was a bum!

  • everyones kids should try it. .fuck the government.right?

  • timothy leary was a religious fucktard. I smoke weed, eat shrooms, and take LSD... ain't nothing fucking spiritual about them.... IT'S ALL IN YOUR MINDS HIPPIES!!!

  • @trekkian88 leary was mostly interested in the psychological interpersonal reactions in patients under psychedelic treatment though.

  • @0:44 sounds like this doco condemns his efforts, calling them propaganda.

I think lsd doesnt have any specfic side effects, but rather an enormous collection of possible effects, some good & some bad. Overall i think people should be free to try it themselves, rather than be force fed disinformation in the same way as what 'reefer madness' did to pot.

  • what 9 year olds i was 13

  • theres something wrong with giving kids something that potent.

  • lmao @ those brain fried kids

  • @greeniem true, but for his age he was pretty perceptive, aware, and reflective of things.

  • @trakomako Hurp?

  • @trakomako Your a retard...

  • I read recently that Meher Baba, the guru from the East, who communicated only by hand signals, and did not talk, corresponded with Leary about the use of drugs. Meher, the guru to whom Pete Townshend gave his trust, did not believe in drug use- "God in a pill"-, yet Leary did. Sure would like to be able to read some of those letters.

  • 4 people need to "Turn on, tune in, drop out."

  • When I met Dr. Leary in 1981, we shook hands and talked for a few minutes. He was still like the 1960s, somewhat. Later, he developed a small software company called "Leary Software Development" Get it?

  • @SeattleLA LoL =D

  • @mcfaen Hello from Seattle. I sure would like to visit your nation.

  • @mcfaen Hi. I wish Youtube would always notify me of comments. I just happened to go to this video and i see you wrote two weeks ago. Anyway, thanks for commenting.

  • @SeattleLA no i don't get it

  • @up2space Hi. Well, Leary always the one for playing with the minds of the establishment, named his small company that, because the initials were L.S.D.

  • @SeattleLA thats badass

  • @SeattleLA that's the coolest shit I've ever heard!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @SeattleLA no?

  • @ZangrilloJordan Hi. I do not understand what you mean.

  • @SeattleLA i didnt understand the joke haha

  • @SeattleLA he's a pagan?

  • @ihatecon I don't know. To this day, some people love his work, and some people still hate him. He seemed very interesting to talk to, but I know there were concerns. Cheers.

  • @SeattleLA oh, hahaha. I was actually making a random joke in regards to your comment about him starting a software company. I didn't exactly understand what you were getting at, but I've heard that lots of pagans work in the computer/ software industry. hahaha. It sounds weird, but I've heard it more than once. lol. That's why I said that though. hahaha

  • @ihatecon Oh, I understand now, thanks for your comment.

  • @SeattleLA took me a few seconds. good one though haha.

  • @partyman147 Yes, kind of funny and along the lines of his humor too.

  • @SeattleLA what does that mean?

  • @smallpotatoes989 The initials L.S.D., one of Leary's ways of humor.. I do not use it myself, though.

  • does any one know where i can watch the timothy learn debate against that CIA agent?? that looked good

  • im all for timothy leary but 9 year olds on acid just doesnt seem right to me

wait till ur brain is fully developed

  • fuck the government

  • @punkadelicfuzz

that's ignorant b/c oour government is not run by us

    it's run by the corporations

    pharmacy

    oil

    energy

    military industrial complex

    the vatican

  • @punkadelicfuzz FUCK the goverment

  • @punkadelicfuzz dont hate, live in love :)

  • i tell u this they can have all the whiskey they want i choose lsd and shrooms, and of corse thc.

  • @zeldagana and DMT and mescaline ect. All consciousness expanding substances.

  • dmt

  • Being born is when your conscious mind turns on(Turn on). Being alive is having it on (Tune in). Dying is just your conscious shutting off (Drop out).

  • @AcidDreaming

this is an interesting interpretation but I don't think this was the primary thing Leary was communicating with this slogan. by turn on we mean turn on the different levels of consciousness available to us. this is done through psychedelics, fasting, meditation, etc...tuning in' is then the process of becoming One with the often chaotic flow of energy in these realms. dropping out is the process of stopping your social behavioural games of melodrama. drop out of the bullshit.

  • Sure, TURN ON-TUNE IN-BUT DO NOT DROP OUT-once you been to the place of ego death you need to come back and re connect with your friends and family-spread the love and stuff you pick up-the hippies dropped out and become useless. To change the world you need to integrate with it-some folks will not want to trip the light fantastic, so its up to others to bring back the goodies for them. We are already live in a post LSD world-imagine how much further we could go...the future rocks!

  • Pas Quest-J'ai Envie!

  • LSD wil show you the virginity of the world is something like making virgin your brain like you learn the truth about life from the begining...

  • I don't advise kids that young to take acid, but boy was that one wise, smart kid? I first tripped aged 18 and realised a whole lot about myself that I disliked. I changed because of it...became a better friend, lover and family member. I no longer take drugs recreationally...I am 39 and have not smoked dope in years, nor do I drink alcohol. Teetotal. Yet twice per year, as I cannot find LSD (they locked up all the chemists), I take mushrooms. It is a journey for me, not an inebriating 'drug'.

  • @slitheen I think we should take 13 year old lads into the woods and give them acid-an initiation rite to manhood-when they see their infinite potential they may be less liable to be petty criminals. Obviously they would need some training in the PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCE. Drugs should be taught in school-we should accept changing our heads is a normal drive-its ignorance and prohibition that makes it lethal.

  • kid on the left looks like johnny quest

  • This guy was a narcissist and an opportunist, overly recalcitrant and populist. He killed dead the flowering therapeutic, intellectual interest in LSD and the psychedelic movement that was gathering momentum in the right circles by reducing the whole thing to a series of buzz-phrases and pseudospiritual hot air attracting the wrong kind of interest.

  • @ApexBozo Yep, yep, yep, yep and yep. He fell prey to his own hype and myth. And I think he was willing to do or take anything to free himself of a depression that started in his early years. Such a legend; He couldn't muster up the courage to face and resolve problems all humans have to deal with.

  • been there done that watch what you take man strick 9 baby no good

  • @jdarkstar1 strychnine "contaminated" LSD tabs is a myth

  • Very interesting to hear Leary speak before he went to India& changed his name. Namaste

  • In other words, the only way to escape "The Ring of Power" is by ignoring Saruman's Eye (aka Mainstream Media).

  • @soothsayer76 why would you want to do that?

  • Perfect historical document. I wonder who that kid was and if he is still alive and if he has seen this film here on youtube and what he would be saying now. Actually he was pretty impressive about describing lsd as a possible spiritual experience.

  • Why the hell would anyone want to have temporary schizophrenic symptoms? All LSD does is interrupt the brain's ability to communicate with incoming/outgoing stimuli, and blocks its ability as well to function properly...which is what happens to those inflicted with schizophrenia. REAL exploration of altered states of consciousness ARE A COMPLETELY SEPARATE THING: no drugs or brain damage necessary and results are REAL.

  • @Boris82much If I may suggest what LSD does is interrupt the brains censoring of stimuli. Rather than stimuli going through our conditioning, our likes and dislikes memories etc it allows pure unadulterated perception. As Aldous Huxley describes it opens the doors of perception. Now how one is able to cope with that experience is another matter. Sure there are other ways to achieve this but not with the same certainty that LSD provides

  • @orissacube What you are saying is that it opens the doors of the subconscious, aren't you?

  • @Boris82much A more correct statement is that it temporarily removes the concious sense of I. Your sense of self built up by your experiences memories and cultural conditioning. It once again creates a state of virgin unconditioned perception which now perceives the world with the eyes of a new born. It removes the internal narrator that constant stream of thought which we mistakenly identify as ourselves

  • @orissacube Look, cube...I have flown at great speed through a velvet deep blue outer space with twinkling galaxies and unknown, neon red symbols all around me. I consistently focus my attention away from this 'physical reality' to perceive and learn, which has changed my life dramatically. All of this accomplished without any kind of brain altering drug. With LSD you are limited to only your conscious mind being temporarily turned off so you can experience what your subconscious mind holds.

  • @Boris82much You are very lucky Boris but most people are not as "advanced" as you and no matter how many years meditating or f doing yoga or believing in imaginary friends like Jesus they will never get to where you can get without a psychedelic drug or some trauma in their lives. Most people go through life with absolutely no direct experience of reality except second hand through some belief. Psychedelics albeit temporarily if used with care can put directly in touch with that outer space

  • @orissacube In other words, you are dependant on a substance which can only enable you to walk into your subconscious storage unit. So what? To me it's like almost all religions or New Agey beliefs; they all have a ceiling that either distorts or severely limits an explorer. You can be fooled into thinking you are opening the doors of perception, but all you're perceiving is what's in your storage unit and/or how the brain mixes it up. I experience outside and beyond all that. It's fantastic.

  • @Boris82much The use of psychedelics doesn't demand any belief it just demands that you take them. Sure it shows you the mountain top then takes you back down but most people don't even realise there is a mountain top. So many people turn to meditation and other methods having been shown the possibilities of this life through psychedlices. If you can do it without good luck to you but I know meditators of 20 years and they still have no experience of samadhi.and are as blinkered as the rest

  • @orissacube I'll say it again Cube; all LSD and any psychedelics can do is open the doors of perception into THE SUBCONSCIOUS. That's it. It's incredibly sad to me because you and others have been absolutely conned into believing you are experiencing cosmic consciousness...when in reality you are limiting and imprisoning yourself to only what your brain does with stored information. I don't meditate. And it's easy to learn how to focus your attention into alternate realities.

  • @Boris82much You are so off the mark that I almost don't want to bother to reply Subconscious is an easily misinterpreted term if you mean underlying desires and constructs to a persons personality LSD and other psychedelics in the right setting remove the ego that is the sense of the self both conscious and subconcious. It returns consciousness to its pristine naked state that we had as children before wew were imprinted with cultural baggage and experience.Like a zen master

  • @orissacube No, Cube...you don't understand. The subconscious is that part of your mind that stores all you've experienced, thought, perceived. It doesn't block or edit. It simply stores everything. Your conscious mind is the editor. It's designed to, at times, block certain memories from the subconscious which could be too traumatic or harmful, as well as perceive and interact with what the physical and nonphysical senses gather.

  • @Boris82much LSD blocks the editor from editing when the door to the sub is opened. Whether LSD can be therapeutic or not is not for me to say. My point is that LSD can only allow entrance and walk-abouts into the subconscious. That's it.

Real exploration, to perceive and explore beyond what is stored in one's head, is an ability ALL HUMANS are born with. All of us are born hardwired to project our attention into alternate realities, make use of psychic skills; no special talent required.

  • @Boris82much You/We are mixing up consciousness with conscious when I talk about consciousness I mean the underlying undiffertiated ground of being that we all share that religions may call god or spirit it is the level behind everything including subconcious and concious with all its conditoning let s call it unconditioned mind. THat is what LSD allows access too in the right setting

  • @Boris82much

the problem is your conscious and subconscious dont communicate well lol

there like an old, bitter, married couple

One of them thinks there right, the other is undermining them

eventually confusion sets in and fucks everyones shit up

but sometimes they find common ground and get along haha

  • @Boris82much maybe schizophrenics are geniuses gone wrong

it all depends on how much u can handle while u balance the good and the bad

  • @PrincessDesert Schizophrenics are people who possess brains that are for some reason being systematically destroyed. They can actually lose up to 25% of their brain mass within a few years. Their symptoms result from that brain damage and destruction. And the exploration of consciousness, altered states of perception, other worlds never ever requires you possibly damage any part of your body or psyche. Never.

  • that kid is so awesome... he's the cutest boy i've ever seen

  • Listen to themaster before you cantskipp faster. Triplaster was an enlightening ride for me...met a bunch of em along the way, even one of Jerry's buddies around the Tennessee day . Stay in school until you know how to redefine one.....;)

  • That kid is my new hero.

  • lsd will get you so high

  • @kunluv Well, yeah, its LSD of course it will.

  • It woud be interesting to follow those children up to see if there were any long-term effects from taking lsd in childhood.

  • @sptfgpn So would I!!! I'll bet ten-to-one those two nice kids

are now either extremely fucked up, or else long dead.

I know so many kids that I grew up with who fucked themselves

up with drugs, and I know NO ONE who benefitted from them,

    including LSD.

Remember Art Linkletter's daughter, who jumped out a window

during a flashback? What did this madman Leary have to say about

    THAT?

In Muslim societies (e.g., Saudi Arabia) those caught dealing drugs

    are beheaded. I see why.

  • @Weasler455 i benefited from LSD, and if your friends were with me dropping acid, I would have saved them

whether u take drugs or not, u need to be saved, acid just helps

Muslim societies behead their women if they express freedom (like what acid helps u express)

  • The mexican indians give peyote to very young children...I think they make them eat it in religous rituals LOL

  • The same caution applies to LSD as marijuana - if you have ANY tendency to mental illness or it runs in your family, you need to steer well clear of mind altering drugs. I have seen a 'hairline fracture' in a person's sanity turn into a gaping chasm of insanity, which they have never recovered from. LSD and pot can turn a mildly disturbed person into a danger to themselves and others, even after the effect of the drug has gone. I smoke dope and took trips as a young bloke but like most, I'm OK.

  • Very disturbing. The damage has been done. Look around. The best part? AMAZING music. The worst part? Spiritual anarchy.

  • Phsst!>you lookin?

  • LSD was the CIA's experimental drug that was used in their Mindcontrol program. It was tested on soldiers and god knows who else. LSD blurs colors, thoughts, sounds and vision, it makes real ones demons, as well as ones angels.

  • It like many hallucinogens, some of which can be less harsh or less likely to be mixed with other chemicals (mushrooms are better because of this), can break open ego and make us aware of our shadow beliefs. Unfortunately, people that are not strong enough or not emotionally ready to become unfrozen, can become damaged as a result. For others though, the experience can lead them to become more self aware, and aware of god.

  • children should not be taking lsd, they dont need it. Nevertheless, this video simplifies this story quite a lot. Most people that take LSD or other substances for spiritual purposes would NOT want children to take it. The right sees one small extreme group and assumes that this represents everyone. Overall, I see this as a propaganda piece.

  • The kids are actors

  • Turn on to God, tune into miracles, and drop out of playing ignorant games with low IQ people.

You live in the past, too bad.

And you like little children too. My O my!

  • @IwillfollowChrist, I laugh in the face of your imaginary god, and all other "gods".

  • You can only have a bad trip if you arent prepared for the trip...it's not like playing russian roulette you have to also be in a good state of mind.

  • Albert Hoffman, the guy who "discovered" L.S.D. wrote a book about the whole thing. READ IT. Then make Yur own opinion.

  • what!

  • All of you fussing about a bad trip.

Just have 10mg of valium (on prescription of course) at hand while your tripping but dont take it. If you feel like things are getting too much, see if you can ride it out, i.e stick some down tempo music on and drink some tropical juice. If its still too much take the valium then allll will be well.

  • To all open minded individuals out there: teach me how to make LSD! Better yet, let us teach the world to make LSD. We will obviously not make any as it is a Schedule 1 controlled substance, but we will learn how. Learning is not nor will it ever be illegal, and knowledge is one thing that the powers that be cannot control. Message me, I am eager to learn, and equally as willing to teach others what little information I do have.

  • @shambrawk

read tihkal by alexander shulgin, has it all there and more

  • I've often wondered if I would have been better off today had I not got into the drug scene at age 11 because it was "cool" to do at the time....Peer pressure eats away at your mind and leads to a path that ends up at serious doubt...The doubt still exists today but the key is to deal with that doubt until the next time around!

  • @grandguignolplanet - You cannot smoke LSD. LSD molecules are very delicate and will degrade with even the smallest amount of heat. Even at room temperatures the molecules will slowly begin to fade away. Of course, at room temperature's rate, it would not even be noticeable to the user for such a small amount of LSD to be destroyed. But with the high temperatures of a flame, the molecules would be destroyed instantly.

  • ya just like he said, the feeling that lsd gives you it to overwhelming to want to do every day, you would have to be downright out of your mind to want to do that every day imo, i can only handle it once meybe every 2 months if i had access to it, and it being addictive is completely a falcity, there is no addiction in a halucinagen use PERIOD dont belive anyone that tells you there is EVER!

  • what documentary is this from chaps? help please

  • @goodsirknight

you find this documentary in the "psychedelism" playlist of my channel "lsd the beyond within"

I strongly recommend to all of you to check my "ambient " playlist

none of you will regret it :-)

    best vibes

  • thanks for the info friend

I'll check out the ambient stuff as well, some great tunes there

  • your the reason i kill fundamentalists!

  • are you paid by dealers and corrup governs for saying that ?

  • trip on folks

  • Origins of Left wing lunacy

  • Leary is amazing.

100 maybe 1000 years from now billions of people will look back and go, you know leary was right.

  • @STPHNOWNAGE He's a druggie, nothing amazing about that. His mind was so fried by that crap he couldn't practice rational judgement anymore.

  • @calif1mc CRICK got the idea of the DNA helix from LSD-maybe everything on LSD is REAL-whether you admit it on not you live in a post LSD world-from AVATAR to the net to GENETIC RESEARCH to quantum physics to chaos magick to music technology-LSD gave man kind the evolutionary PUSH-if only those SLAVE GOD fools would grow up (MUSLIMS and CHRISTIANS...monotheism is fascism.).

  • @calif1mc You are a complete fool. I suppose being a footstool for a bunch of corrupt, self serving, bloodthirsty, lying capitalists is good enough for you in fact its preferable.
