@flamesword300 the variable zoom has really massive sway while ADS. the recoil is not affected by optics but when u fire a sniper at 9x mag itll be massive and u probably will lose sight of what u were shooting with the first shot. when u fire with the 2.4x it will feel like it has less recoil because u can see more

If you need replica weapons for your behind the lines series, why not just buy some airsoft or airguns. i would suggest an airsoft gun as they are more realistic and you have a wider range of weapons to choose from for example, i would love to see a episode on the sa80 (l85), you could probably get one for around 350 - 380 odd pounds and as, likely you live in England just buy some spray paint if you need a two tone or just scratch off the bright colours so it looks as realistic as the real one.

polite correction: the holographic sight was actually not identical functionally to the red dot sight in mw2. Zoom-wise they were the same, but the amount of aim-assist was greater on the holographic than it was on the red dot, so it was actually better
