Sony VAIO VGN-NW240F/S Laptop

When did you buy this? I have the VGN-NW280F, love it, especially the blu-ray. Although since the coding for Blu-Ray is usually 5.1, playing it though the laptop, the audio is really low. I use a combination of the FiiO E5 and Boosteroo headphone amplifiers, its does a somewhat decent job of raising the Blu-Ray audio, but I hope to find some software that would decode the 5.1 better. Anyhow, do you have this same problem with the low audio?

I've go this one and there are two cracks on the frame at the top of the monitor. I've been told this is common and I don't think it will cause any problems, but I'm looking into getting it fixed.

Hmmm that keyboard reminds me of the Apple keyboard that I own.

So it has integrated graphics, I somehow doubt Sony had gamers in mind. At the end of the day it all comes down to personal preference and what your going to be using it for.

It's a nice laptop, and it's great for general home/office use. In terms of gaming look elsewhere.

It looks like it's Sony's attempt to kill the mac book.

Not many new motherboards or video cards have come out though I understand what you mean. I think they should try starting a sub-account or sub-series that they have only motherboard, video card, etc. and tech update of course; so that us who don't give a rip about these laptops and cameras don't have to deal with them.
