Women & Cigars: A lesson

Was this specifically for women or just a guide in general featuring women? I don't mean to troll or anything I'm just wondering.

@TheaterOfMemory I'm not trolling, I'm just saying its disrespectful to the cigar makers if you don't know what your doing... At least read up on proper etiquette before 1 spending money on something, and 2 taking the time to do something, especially when that something is very very revolved around etiquette. Cigar smoking have everything to do with etiquette and style. I'm all for beginners learning how to smoke and history, but smoking is like a ceremony.

OMFG. I wanted to reach through the screen and slap the s**it out of the salesman. Why is he a salesmen? He got almost everything wrong. They were good choices for cigars. That's all that the salesman got right. The shortest (The Fuente Hemmingway) would take at least an hour if smoked properly. I HATE salesmen like that!

have to say that's a pretty nice video for people getting into, I wouldn't even fret the negative snobs, truth of the matter is  most people make up their own "rituals" IMHO the only two things you should avoid are using Zippo's and never extinguish a cigar, just let it burn out.(putting them out is what causes that foul smell) also if you're really interested in cigar etiquette look up an article written by Zino Davidoff, who composed the original rules of cigar etiquette.

im always glad to see people introduced to the glory of premium cigars. just a few things i'd recommend... when lighting the cigar, start by toasting the foot. when using matches, make sure the sulfur head burns off before holding it to the cigar (it avoids introducing unwanted flavors into the tobacco) and slowly rotate as you light. these things make for a much easier and much more pleasurable experience. : )

yeah, there are no cigars that use tobacco aged 160 years. If they were talking about the Padron 40th anniversary, the tobacco is not aged 40 years, its about 5. Nobody in the cigar industry uses tobacco that old, it just dosent happen. Maybe there will be a cigar from the 1800s, but thats really doubtfull

you're right, there is not any cigar on the market with tobacco aged for 160 years, that's just ridiculous. He probably had a Partagas 160, which the wrapper is a 30 year old wrapper from a stock of tobacco that they had been storing since 1977 . The 160 stands for the 160 years that the company has been in business. That guy is an idiot.

My gosh who is teaching them about cigars is a novice them selves. OK wetting the cap is a personal preference which I'm am not fond of but did you see how they lit the cigar. I mean come on people if you going to get someone into cigar smoking let's teach them properly. Also what's up with the cigar shop recommending a full bodied cigar for a beginner. HA HA!!

Cigars are great! I love cigars but hate cigarettes. There is a big difference. Just like a fine scotch you have to aquire a taste for them but once you do, it's heaven. A few luxuries that the filthy rich enjoy that anybody can enjoy is a "Fine" cigar, A "Fine" Sctotch or "Wine" and great food if you can cook it yourself.

For those of you that Hate Cigars, I don't blame you if you smell the 2nd hand smoke of a cheap cigar.

I didn't know about warming the end of the cigar. I once saw George Burns say that he would burn off the first 1/4 inch or so before smoking. And, of course, never us a zippo.

Cigars Make Me Sick. Litterally. I Went Down To My In Laws One Day, And My FIL Had Been Smoking One.....I Seriously Turned Green. A Couple Weeks Later, I Found Out I Was Expecting. I Get Sick From Any Overpowering Smell. ;0(
