  • I still have my old Dreamcast XD

    2 infact!

  • 1:11

How come there's a Goku on the Dreamcast?!

  • I will never forget the gaming of the 90's and early 2000's, especially the era of Dreamcast!!!! :')

  • they should have an Anniversary of when ps2 kicked its ass.

  • R.I.P. Dreamcast. 1999-2001

  • Ecco the dolphin is literally Dolphin Olympics 2 the flash game XD.

  • I Miss sega consoles so much.

  • miss my dreamcast

  • The only thing good about the Dreamcasts short life is that stores like Best Buy and Toys R Us had brand new games for $5, I got so many good games for $5.

  • One of the greatest consoles ever. Hopefully sega can come back with a new console and get back to dominating the console wars

  • @WeaponXSigma can they really do that? Isn't too late?

  • @TheFoxshot Its just wishful thinking on my part. It probably IS too late for that but still. If not then I hope Sega does pull it off

  • I know virtually nothing about video games nowadays, yet I can still name almost every game in this video. The Dreamcast meant a lot to me (and the same one I've had since 1999 is still hooked up to the TV next to my bed).

  • Not gonna lie, DC had its share of shitty titles, but man the good ones were way ahead of their time. I still remember playing Soul Calibur for the first time and how it took years for the game to beat visually.

  • I want a Dreamcast now.

  • the Dreamcast will be missed

Fuck SONY and Fuck Microsoft, they ruined everything

  • @seanMmaguire1 I hope you know the Dreamcast's failures were also Sega's own fault from their past issues with previous hardware and screwing over both consumers and developers.

  • @TsukentoX yes I know about the piece of shit 32x and SEGA Saturn but the Dreamcast more than made up for it.

I believe that a SEGA Dreamcast comeback is quite possible in todays market

  • @seanMmaguire1 It didn't, actually. Sega was already reporting having lost millions in the beginning of 2000. By the end of 2000, they barely sold 5 million units in the US (around 3 million, if I remember correctly). Out of its entire lifetime, it only sold 10 million units worldwide. That's a very weak number compared to the previous Nintendo and Sony consoles, including even Sega's own Genesis (which sold 20 million in the US alone).

  • @TsukentoX But in terms of hardware it was beyond anything else on the market.

a true gamers console it was

  • @seanMmaguire1 No question about it. It really was the last gamer-centered console.

  • @TsukentoX

Even though I never had one, the Gamecube was the last completely gamer-centric console to be fair, even more so than the Dreamcast. Not that I'm saying one's better than the other, but Nintendo were more sincere with their long-term fans than Sega were last generation.

  • @strykah92 That really had nothing to do with it. The Dreamcast had a larger variety of different games targeted for gamers of different ages that suited each of their preferences. The GameCube, while a decent system, really didn't have that. Especially when it lacked in the online department, nor had as many different genres of games available such as Fighting games or RPGs.

  • @TsukentoX

Fighting games I'll agree the Gamecube is lacking, but the Dreamcast controller really ruined the experience of fighters for me, at least the D-pad on the Gamecube just flat-out sucked, the Dreamcast's on the other hand is freaking dangerous =/ These guys made the Saturn D-pad for Christ's sake, what was wrong with it?

Anyway, RPGs? No wai! You have no idea how long I've wanted to play Tales of Symphonia and LOZ Wind Waker. xD

  • @strykah92 Dreamcast had an arcade stick. :P

And while ToS and WW were fun, they can't beat Skies of Arcadia, Grandia II or Phantasy Star Online.

  • @TsukentoX

Regarding the arcade stick, I'm not gonna lie, I do like the look of it and I want one, I feel kinda bummed out that Sega didn't throw in some stock Seimitsu parts though. PSO and Grandia II were multi-platform weren't they? Sure they probably ran the best on Dreamcast but I wouldn't exactly call them reasons to get the machine.

  • @strykah92 Grandia II ran better on the Dreamcast. The PS2 and PC ports were riddled with problems. :(

  • @seanMmaguire1

Well hey it's your own fault, you got a PS1 instead of a Saturn remember? =)

  • @strykah92 actually its my parents fault cos they bought me the PS1 and lets be honest the Saturn was a failure

  • Comment removed

  • @sonicbje Yes, it did.

  • UNA DE LAS MEJORES CONSOLAS DE LA HISTORIA DIFICILMENTE OLVIDARAN ESTA SENSACIONAL CONSOLA Y SIN TEMOR A EQUIVOCARME PODRIA SER LA MEJOR CONSOLA.

  • If only the Dreamcast lasted as long as other Sixth generation consoles like the Gamecube and the Playstation 2. In Japan, the console lasted until 2006, which is what I've heard on wikipedia. I dunno, I just which the US span of the Dreamcst could last that long... :(

  • @IViewVideos1 it's fifth generation console you idiot!!!!

  • @chugaafan1 STOP YELLING AT ME!!! DFFFFFFFF--

  • The Dreamcast was first released on 27th November 1998 in Japan. So it's actually over 11 years old.

  • @Ohsta6t2 Please read the video description. This is obviously a tribute to the US lifespan of the Dreamcast.

  • Forgot VOOT T_T

  • say what you like folks. but this was really a very nice console. for me it was far from rivalry with ps2 and xbox. but it had really good games... miss it!

  • Amazing, almost brought a tear in my eye.

    SEGA was so underrated :-(

  • I've still got mine, i love it.

I would never sell it and if it broke i'd get another!!!!!!

  • 2:18

hey, isnt that best sonic game of all times? :D

  • @Mazgid

    Nope. That's not Sonic 3 & Knuckles. ;)

  • sorry, but we have different opinions :)

Yes, i love S&K, that my favorite of classic and 2D Sonic games, but SA2 must incredible masterpiece of sonic team. And just a bit better than Sonic & Knuckles, of course :)

  • @Mazgid

Sonic Adventure 2 felt less like a Sonic game and more like Sonic thrown into the real world. It didn't help it was way too linear and the music didn't feel like it came from a Sonic game.

  • ok, Sonic Adventure 2 is relly less than "Sonic" game in this view , because S&K IS CLASSIC GENESIS SONIC GAME. Well, what have you expected from 3D sonic game? Still flying mushroom hills? I dont think so.

With SA1 Sonic's universe made a step in more advanced world, but in SA2 they have reached final step of that gradation. Great Gameplay, Fantastic Graphics, amazing Music, best Plot of all times and incredible voice actors- that best game on DC at all.

Also - that DC' 10th ann vid, not MD :)

  • @Mazgid

My last comment wasn't comparing SA2 to S3&K, but more of the series in general. Look at SA, for example. It had a better feel of how the level designs, music and gameplay should be like. :p

  • I am so glad I still have mine. This was the last good system for fighting games.

  • I think about dreamcast......and I cry because my mom broke it T.T, it was home to the 2 best sonic games that ever existed....also the last 2 GOOD voice acted...BEST should I say.

  • @LUISLAWRENCE99992009

El primer juego se llama "Demolition Racer: No Exit." Y la segunda es "Silver." :)

  • 9.9.99 quiero llorarrrrrrrrrrrr

  • I want to get a dream cast.

  • PSO music!! So many memories!!!

  • Oh yeah, love the sound track to PSO, Jet grind Radio was always my favorite sound track though

  • Best System ever.

  • Happy 10th, Dreamcast. I'll always have a special place for you in my heart!

  • nice it is a shame the dreamcast left so fast

  • wow Dreamcast

    awesome video!

  • That video was AWESOME.

  • the dreamcast was seriously wounded but the soul still burns

  • Damn man this song of Phantasy star online bring back memories. I give it to you best video I seen nothing can top it!! happy 10th anniversary Dreamcast's!

  • This video is great, great quality, good music and a fantastic editing.

    5 stars

  • Agreed!

  • Happy 10th Anniversary Sega Dreamcast!

you will always be remembered as a great gaming console.

  • year 2000 look at that fucking lineup

Capcom vs SNK, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Marvel Vs Capcom 2, SF3 Third Strike, Virtua Tennis

better than most of the games out now

  • No kidding. I still really miss the Dreamcast and the awesomeness it held. Its ratio of quality games beats every other console's.

I'm sure if everyone gave it support the DC would have a ton of crap titles like the PS2 and later. Not one console will ever have all of the Dreamcast's good titles, or sequels to them for that matter, which makes it worth having.

  • @TheLegendOfRenegade TOTALLY agree

  • long live sega forever i grow up on sega an miss it all the time they need a new consloe

  • Awesome Video! :D

  • The Sega Dreamcast is forever my favorite game system of all time, the fact that my birthday and the 10th anniversary for the Dreamcast lands on the same day is unreal.

  • I'm playing nine of dreamcast's best games.

Before Sony and Microsoft were the pussy competitors for nintendo it was Sega that gave them a kick in the ass then turned them around and kicked them square in the nuts. We need Sega in this day and age to hype up the console wars. It so sad how people sold out for a DVD player.

  • Its also sad that my favorite company ever is getting bitch slapped by a company that is supposed to be its partner, that bitch Sammy.

  • Nice video you've made. :-)

  • 9/9/99 forever

  • Splendid!

  • I was wondering, was the 2 Godzilla games for Dreamcast compatible with the American Dreamcast?

  • Nope. Not unless you used a cheat device as a boot disc for them.

  • Happy Birthday Dreamcast, 10 years and I still love playing it

  • I have been a Nintendo fan all my life but I have to pay homage to the great Sega Dreamcast on its 10th anniversary. It was truly a awesome console and had equally awesome games. And with Sega's new Sonic game "project needle mouse" coming out in 2010 things are looking up for Sega! No offense to anyone but I would rather have Sega be the rival of Nintendo than Sony or Microsoft any day! Kudos to you Sega and congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the Dreamcast!

  • Dreamcast forever <3

  • Never Forget 9/9/99

  • I still have my Dreamcast they should make a newer version of a Dreamcast...A Dreamcast...REVOLUTION!

  • awesome

  • Awesome video as usual.

    Remember 9/9/99

  • I love it if only nintnedo would have a dreamcast on the wii's shop channel.

  • A pretty nice tribute to the fantastic console.

  • AMAZING

    I want a dreamcast again =)

  • I remember when I first picked up this system a decade ago. I was only fifteen years old, turning sixteen just two days later. The first game I bought was Soul Calibur. The Dreamcast Generator (demo disc) kept me busy until I was able to get more games. I had a lot of good times with this system.

  • Happy Birthday Dreamcast, Gamers with a good taste will always remember you

  • Dreamcast.,we'll always remember you.

  • Great video. Dreamcast is one my favorite consoles, the amount of great games to come out in little over a year is amazing.

  • The greatest game console in the world! The Dreamcast ^^

  • Virtua Tennis! Glad to see a tribute video include my favorite tennis game.

    Sweet video!

  • RIP to Sega's last great game console.

  • LONG LIVE THE DREAM!!!

  • A BLACK MAN IS SAD TODAY :(

  • The most underrated console ever.

  • Man the dreamcast could have had such a longer shelf life since it was a spectacular console with with plenty of excellent games

  • I can't even begin to describe my memories with the Dreamcast they were beautiful. Power Stone, Jet Grind Radio, Street Fighter 3, Street Fighter 3 Second Impact, Sonic Adventure, Capcom VS. SNK., Marvel VS. Capcom 2 All of these games and created some awesome Dreamcast memories. Awesome video Tsukento.

  • good times, good times

  • Great video. man I miss the Dreamcast, can't belive its been 10 years!
