You know, I've worked with some real bad asses here in the states (US Army and Marine Elite forces), and even most of them admit that the SAS are the top dogs of the field (though they don;t admit it in public). This is a very cool show, thanks for posting it.
To be fair, a lot of the ex-Regiment blokes in this probably will be banned for doing this TV work. I know it doesn't apply to Mac because I remember seeing something about him at a reunion, but who knows whether the others are or not?
In the eyes of the regiment, they have comitted a sin and gone against one of Stirling's ethos - humility, modesty and not boasting - which will not stand them in good stead. Look at Pete Winner/'Snapper' - BANNED because of a column in a tabloid 10 years ago.
funny how all these guys are, in the public eye, great 'secret' ex-SAS guys, but becase of the TV work they've done, they're probably banned from reunions and memorials in Hereford, much like 'Ryan' and 'McNab'.
@PyschoticChimp if you plan on joining the Regiment, then you have to keep it a secret, if you tell everybody, 1. they shouldn't believe you, nobody in the Regiment tell anybody, maybe only there close family, but most of the time not. 2. I Respect these lads but unfortunatly by letting all of this information out, they have been unloyal to the Regiment, therefore are not aloud to do any further things to do with the Regiment. ;)
@JWoolford27 thats why they are EX SAS also they probably spoke to their old superiors before they made the show. Aswell as that they are most likely outdated methods which is why they can let this information out.
